Chapter 677: Decisiveness
Chapter 677: Decisiveness
Chapter 675 – Decisiveness
Jieyin had been observing the portal of players ever since the group of Chaos Demon Gods had gone in there. Hours had passed, but nobody came out.
Jieyin clicked his tongue as he wanted to know what had happened inside. He had the urge to send some of his men in there to scout the player’s realm.
But as he was waiting, another Chaos Demon God rushed to the portal. He went inside without hesitation.
Jieyin licked his lips. He believed that it was about time that they should scout their enemy’s turf.
“Jian Xian.”
“Yes, senior?”
“Send some of your men inside to scout. I want to know the result of their battle.”
Jian Xian had thought that they would camp in the medium realm. He was reluctant to send a suicide squad in there.
“Shouldn’t we wait a bit longer?”
“We can, but how long do you think we should wait?”
Jian Xian pondered. He estimated that Hongjun might be able to build the sacrificial altar within two to three days with the additional supply of construction tickets and Dao Stone bills.
“Tomorrow after we secure every possible airdrop.”
“Good. We wait. Let’s go back to our realm’s portal to defend it. We don’t want Hongjun’s men to realize that we aren’t doing risky works for them.”
“If you say so…”
Jian Xian and his men were relieved. They turned around and were about to leave.
WHOOSH
Suddenly, the previous Chaos Demon God rushed out of the portal. The faceless giant seemed heavily injured as he lost his right arm and right shoulder.
The Chaos Demon God jetted back to the front of his homeworld’s portal. He looked back at the portal of the player in resentment before he roared.
“REMEMBER THIS, PAN MEI! WITHOUT PANGU’S HELP, YOU ARE NOTHING!”
Tlaloc regenerated his right arm and got back inside the portal.
Jian Xian, Jieyin, and their followers heard everything. They looked at each other.
“What do you think, senior?” Asked Jian Xian.
Jieyin’s expression was solemn. He analyzed the situation out loud.
“That Chaos Demon God is an unrestrained sage. If someone at his caliber is forced to retreat, that means the previous raiding troops might have already been annihilated. And if the squad of unrestrained sages is wiped out, the Players in there must have at least one Great Dao Sage or several stronger unrestrained sages on their side!”
“W-What?! But how?! I thought all players start out as deities!”
“They grow stronger by killing each other. They might have already started killing each other to get one or two of them to the Great Dao Sage Realm, or they might already have the sacrificial altar. They have the number advantage, Jian Xian.”
“And how are we going to defeat them?! How can we really win?! The only great dao sage in our army is Hongjun, but he can’t leave the homeworld!”
Jieyin clicked his tongue and shook his head.
“That’s why we might have to rely on Hongjun’s sacrificial altar. He might have foreseen this, so he is rushing the building.”
“…”
Realizing that the Player Faction was overwhelmingly strong, Jian Xian had the urge to go back to their headquarters and consult with Hongjun or other sages.
Fortunately, Jian Xian didn’t need to wait long. Someone from Hongjun’s side came out of the portal and sent a voice transmission to them.
The messenger was none other than Eve.
‘Senior Jieyin, Lord Hongjun has asked you and your men to return. He wants to make an announcement regarding the new buildings that he got from the free construction tickets that you gave him.’
Jieyin’s expression changed, but Jian Xian was delighted. The former clicked his tongue before he replied.
‘I’ll be right back.’
Eve nodded and returned to the headquarters.
Jieyin looked at his men, “We’ll go back to the headquarters. Let’s see what Hongjun has in store for us.”
…
WHOOSH
Jieyin, Jian Xian, and their colleagues returned to the headquarters plane. But as soon as they returned, they discovered something new.
A pylon tower and a radar tower had already been built!
The expedition group flew over the tall walls and gathered in front of the Pylon Tower. They also examined the radar tower from the outside in awe. Some of them also checked out the green holes, gas caves, and Mithril Mountains.
A minute later, Hongjun and many sages flew out of the radar tower.
Hongjun looked around and counted the number of his faction’s representatives and sages.
“I see that everybody has returned. Very well, I have an announcement to make.”
Everybody stopped chatting or looking around. They gazed at Hongjun, wondering what the announcement was all about.
“A few hours ago, the expedition team did a very good job of securing three sets of airdrops from the medium realm. Very well done, Jieyin.”
Hongjun smiled at Jieyin and Jian Xian’s team. The latter cupped their fists and accepted the praise while the others gazed at them with admiration and respect.
Hongjun continued, “What they found was 3,000 Dao Stones, 30,000 PACTs, three free construction gacha tickets, and three myth grade tickets. I have to comment on Jieyin’s group since they are very dedicated to our cause and contributed the myth grade tickets to me instead of using them. This exemplary honesty and selflessness are worth the praise!”
MURMUR
Again, the people gazed at Jieyin and Jian Xian with respect. Everybody misunderstood that Jieyin and Jian Xian were an honorable unit, who looked at the big picture instead of using items for their self-interests.
Jian Xian glanced at Jieyin, who had been putting an air of a saint. He inwardly sighed.
‘What will Hongjun reacts if they know that we already used Silver Qi.’
Hongjun smiled and explained what he got from the tickets, “I have already used the three construction gacha tickets. We have a free pylon tower and a free radar tower over here. I have to admit that we’re very lucky to have the radar tower.”
“Why, senior?” The sages gazed at Hongjun, not understanding what he meant.
“Look around,” Hongjun pointed at the random natural resources, “Because I was so obstinate on rushing the sacrificial altar, we failed to realize the necessity of the radar tower. I double-checked the radar control room and the gas caves. It seems that we can send our representative deities to the cave and let them cultivate Connate Qi. If they are talented enough, they should be able to break through to the sage realm!”
“!!!”
Hearing that they could cultivate Connate Qi, everybody was delighted. However, none of them dared to occupy or monopolize the gas caves as they were afraid of Hongjun’s absolute strength.
Nobody was stupid enough to cause trouble here unless they wanted to die! Hongjun could have killed them with a single thought!
Hongjun hadn’t finished. He pointed at an open area, where no natural resources were around. Then, he used the last free building, which he had gotten from the gacha ticket.
It was an unnamed immortal sect!
However, Hongjun chose the orthodox path for his cultivators. Thus, the buildings that shot out from the ground emitted holy light. All blossom trees, flowers, clear ponds, and tall pagodas appeared.
Four massive stages were placed on the central plaza, allowing anyone to use the platform as a sparring stage. Towers after towers surrounded the central plaza while at the back of the sect was a wide area of herb field. Its library building was also as high as the four 100-story pagodas, which surrounded the main sect buildings.
Life Providence Qi and Holy Light Providence Qi were the sect’s main energy sources. However, the amount was a lot thinner than Miaomiao’s floating island.
DING
“!!!”
Everybody was astonished for several reasons.
Hongjun had never established a sect before, and he only accepted a few disciples. But now, everybody here had a chance to become his disciples!
Hongjun continued, “This is the third free building I got from the gacha ticket. Unfortunately, we can’t recruit disciples because of the expensive exchange rate, but our people can use the sect’s buildings and environment to train. I’ve already imparted all my knowledge and cultivation techniques into books and scrolls. You may access them in the library over there.”
The deities cheered, especially the people from the Qin Shi Huang’s faction. Even the survivors of the Olympus looked excited.
“I have also used the myth-grade item tickets. I have three artifacts right here.”
Hongjun waved his hands and summoned a ring, a bracer, and a circlet. Each of them had the aura of a sage, but there was no sentient spirit inside.
“Jieyin. You contributed the most today. Pick one of the artifacts. You deserve it.”
Jieyin grinned. He flew out and picked a ring, which was easy to wear.
Seeing that Jieyin took the ring, Hongjun was satisfied. He stored the other two myth-grade artifacts and looked at his people.
“I’ll reward anyone that contributes to our causes. Bring me players or people from Chaos Realm Faction to be used as a sacrifice. If we manage to build the sacrificial altar, the best contributor can get to use it first, or I’ll give you one of the two artifacts! That is all the announcement I want to make today!”
The crowd was excited. They talked to each other, planning to go out and launch an attack on players and Mu-Nyang’s men.
Everybody soon gathered and grouped with their teams, clans, and factions. They planned to move together as a team or join an expedition tomorrow when the airdrops appeared.
Jieyin smirked at them. As he was about to call Jian Xian over and prepared his unit for tomorrow, the guy approached Hongjun and reported the recent event.
“Lord Hongjun. While we were scouting, we discovered something strange.”
Jieyin frowned.
‘This snitch! Dammit, Jian Xian. You’re supposed to keep your mouth shut!’
Jieyin couldn’t help it. He hated Jian Xian now.
Meanwhile, Hongjun was interested in the scouting report, “Speak. What’s your name?”
“I’m Jian Xian, the patriarch of the Jian Clan, my lord.”
“Good. I’ll remember your name and your contribution. Now, tell me. What have you found?”
“The thing is…”
Jian Xian told Hongjun everything that he saw, except for the Silver Qi and the Entity Ore.
…
Chaos Realm Faction’s Headquarters Plane
WHOOSH
Tlaloc entered the portal in a bad mood. He shoved the nearby giant cats away and staggered toward the city.
Soon, Tlaloc noticed the new buildings. He ignored everything and followed the trace of Miaomiao’s aura signature.
It was easy to find Miaomiao inside his new sect’s main hall on the floating island. Tlaloc shrank his body to a regular human’s size and entered the building.
He soon discovered the orgy fest. Miaomiao had created extra genital tentacles from his back and used them to make love with his wives.
Tlaloc’s face darkened. He punched the wall and created a hole.
“Mao Miaomiao! Stop fucking around and listen to me!”
Despite being warned, the tentacles kept doing what they were supposed to do. As for Miaomiao’s main PP, it got stuck inside Zhao Yun’s front hole. Thus, he carried her and walked toward Tlaloc. He didn’t stop sliding his juicy part inside her, causing the rabbit woman to cry in pleasure.
“What’s up, my edgy senior?”
“You… Fuck it. Listen, we are in trouble.”
Miaomiao shrugged, “I’m all ears.”
“The players already have a Great Dao Sage! We can’t lay siege on them head-on anymore!”
Miaomiao widened his eyes at first. But then, he slightly nodded.
“As expected. Zerg Rush tactic is impossible. Otherwise, it would have been too easy.”
“What?”
“It’s nothing, senior. I’ve already predicted it.”
“BASTARD!” Tlaloc was fumed with rage, “IF YOU KNEW, WHY DIDN’T YOU WARN ME AND OTHERS?!”
“Had I warned you, would you have listened? Be real, senior.”
“…”
Tlaloc froze. Indeed, Tlaloc would have scoffed at Miaomiao for being a coward had the latter warned him.
Miaomiao sighed, “Anyway, what’s done is done. I’ve also been preparing for the solution. Even if they have one or two Great Dao Sages, they aren’t strong enough to challenge a headquarters world alone.”
Tlaloc didn’t understand Miaomiao, “How? One of them can easily destroy everybody here, including all the unrestrained sages!”
Miaomiao summoned a wisp of light and let it float toward the nearest Divine Qi Refinery. Tlaloc looked at the Qi and noticed that many catopuses had been diligently working and harvesting goodies from Mithril Mountains and the buildings to the strange temple.
“I’ve been collecting resources when you were away, and you will get your sacrificial altar soon. However, I need you to do something for me. Can we make a deal, senior?”
“… Speak,” Tlaloc hesitated, but he admitted that he had underestimated Miaomiao.
“I will build a sacrificial altar tomorrow after we collect the daily airdrops. Then, there will be chaos since those rowdy deities and sentinels might start killing each other to sacrifice the others. Some of my cute catopuses might get killed even though they can’t be used as a sacrifice.”
“And?”
Miaomiao’s expression became sinister. His golden pupils shone in the dark hall.
“I don’t need useless greedy cultivators in here. You may capture them and use them as a sacrifice to increase your power. Of course, you must leave Cathulhus, catopuses, Trumpet Alliance, Adam, Joshua, Meng Xin, Ma Moxi’s family, and my people alone.”
Tlaloc was interested, “Other than them, can I kill the others?”
“Sentinels can’t be used as a sacrifice so you might want to use them as cannon fodders for future fights. As for the rest of the representatives other than my precious Cathulhus and Trumpet Alliance, you can cook them or boil them however you want. If you have some excess prisoners after you’ve done with them, leave some for me. Can you do this much?”
Tlaloc was stunned by Miaomiao’s decisiveness. Now, he started to like him. Although Tlaloc had no face, Miaomiao could tell that he was smiling.
“Consider it done, brat!”
For the first time, the last Chaos Demon God shook hands with Miaomiao, the creator of second-generation Chaos Demon Goddesses.
