Chapter 683: Hiiro

Chapter 681 – Hiiro

Medium Realm

WHOOSH

A bloody rag-clothed youth with two shiny swords staggered out of the portal. He gritted his teeth and tried to run, but he ran out of strength.

Strangely, over his head, a flashing red bar stood out.

It was his HP bar. Currently, he had less than 20% left.

WHOOSH

Five men in different outfits came out of the Player portal. One of them was a big guy with a claymore. The second guy was a lancer in medieval full plate gear while the third man was an archer in leather armor. The two other men wore robes like mages in fantasy games.

Despite their look, these five men revealed their red names and level. They were all in the 1,500ish level range.

Meanwhile, the youth was level 2,000. He had no armor other than his two fancy swords.

“Hiiro! Surrender your myth-grade weapons, and we’ll make things easy for you. Lord Pan Mei will compensate you for your items! Be obedient and hand them over!”

Narukami Hiiro spat a mouthful of blood and glared at them.

“Do you think I’m stupid? We all know that we get to keep our NFTs after the beta test. Like hell, I will give you the convertible items”

The swords in his hands could be converted into NFT items, which could be used in the real game after the grand opening. And now, he and Pan Mei’s men fought for the rights of the items.

“10,000 USD for those swords, and we’ll leave you alone throughout the beta test. How about it? You won’t lose out on anything.”

“Scram! I won’t fall for your scam!”

Hiiro flipped a middle finger at them. He deeply exhaled and his HP recovered by 10%.

The other players noticed the changes in Hiiro’s HP. They clicked their tongues and brandished their weapons.

“Just kill this dumbass and get this over with! We can get 100 grand once we hand his swords over to Pan Mei!”

“Agreed!” The other players nodded. Then, they charged toward Hiiro.

Hiiro smirked. He took a sword stance and wield the two long swords.

Below his feet, an array of words appeared.

Death Fortress Sword Style, Word Formation!

KILL!

With a cross slash, the group of five men sensed something cold passing through their bodies. A hundred after images and red lines appeared on their skin.

The men widened their eyes in shock as they saw the notification messages. A Series of numbers appeared over their head, but all numbers were shown as [999,999], which was the maximum damage output that Hiiro could inflict against his enemies with the “Kill” word-formation.

The group of pursuers vanished and dropped all of their items in their inventory. Piles of potion bottles, food, and small items rolled on the ground.

DING

Hiiro sheathed his swords and scoffed at the ridiculous level gains. Just by murdering fellow players, he got 75 levels at once. However, the jump in levels didn’t increase his HP.

As Hiiro walked forward to collect his loot and search for potions, he suddenly clenched his chest and vomited another mouthful of blood.

He glanced at his HP on top of his head. Now, there was 5% remaining.

‘I don’t have enough mana and Qi. All my skills are consuming my HP instead.’

Hiiro grumbled as he sat cross-legged and paced his breath.

DING

Slowly but surely, his HP recovered every second. He watched his HP bar recovering while green crosses orbited around the red tube.

WHOOSH

WHOOSH

Hiiro managed to recover 30% of his health, but more people came out of the Player Headquarters Plane.

“That bastard is still around! Hey, Hiiro, you’re really still alive!”

Ten guys came out, but Hiiro remembered their faces. All of them were his friends at school, who always extorted him for his money.

“I can’t believe a poor asshole like you can get out of that place. Well, since you’re lucky, you might as well contribute to ME! Give me your swords-“

SWUA!

Hiiro unsheathed one of his swords. With one swing, he beheaded the school bully.

DING

Again, Hiiro increased his levels by killing other players.

“Bastard!”

“How dare you!”

The men rushed at Hiiro. Even though their dantian and Qi were on par with pseudo sages, they still moved like mortals who hadn’t learned a martial art.

Hiiro got into a combat stance like he had done a thousand times. Without using his sword skill or Qi, he brandished his sword and diced them one after another.

In 10 seconds, all of them turned into piles of corpses before they disappeared. However, one of them glared at Hiiro and threatened him.

“I’ll see you at school, motherfucker!”

“…”

Hiiro’s pupils flickered. He spat at the guy and looked away.

“!!!”

Once more, Hiiro suddenly vomited several mouthfuls of blood. His HP decreased to 10%.

It was not just his skills. Even using the swords consumed his HP.

‘Using myth-grade swords is difficult. I need to find a place to cultivate. My MP and Qi pool are too small!’

Hiiro sat cross-legged again. He took several deep breaths to recover his HP first.

Unfortunately for him, someone placed a sword by his neck.

Hiiro widened his eyes as he didn’t sense the person approaching. He bit his lower lips in bitterness.

But as Hiiro resigned to his fate, he heard a young girl’s voice.

“Interesting sword style, if I must say. What is your relationship with Mao Miaomiao or the Jian Clan?”

“What Mao Miaomiao? What Jian Clan?” Hiiro had no clue what the girl was talking about.

“Oh, right. You’re a player. You’re not a part of the Heavenly Dao or the Chaos Realm. Silly me.”

The mysterious girl giggled and pull her sword away.

But as the girl pulled her sword away, he hit Hiiro’s acupuncture points. The player soon saw an alarming system message.

Yuan Hua was in charge of patrolling the medium world after the airdrop event today. She had been observing Hiiro since the beginning, and she noticed his sword style, which resembled Miaomiao and the Jian Clan’s techniques.

And now, after Hiiro was exhausted, Yuan Hua made her move. She grabbed his hair and leaned closer to him to stare into his eyes.

“Boy, you’re now my captive. I’ll make you my sacrificial lamb for my sage ascension!”

“You…”

She waved her hands and collected all items of the dead players, including Hiiro’s myth-grade dual swords. She dragged him by his hair toward the Heavenly Dao Realm’s portal in good mood.
