Chapter 11 Secret Deal With Kang Fu
In the next few days, a couple of interesting events occurred.
The first event that occurred was a news spreading in the Crimson Mammoth Warriors that stated Kang Huian’s condition. The Night Dagger Clan was the one spreading this news, so the Crimson Mammoth Warriors trusted it.
The Crimson Mammoth Warriors were all simpletons who lived like family. If someone harmed one of them, the entire clan wouldn’t rest until that person was killed.
The Crimson Mammoth Warriors were furious upon hearing Kang Huian’s condition. They knew someone must have deliberately poisoned her.
However, before they could find the perpetrator, another interesting news spread in the area.
This news stated that the Miracle Angel Tribe attempted to kill Kang Huian to prevent her from unleashing the Devil Poison Cloud.
Even though the Crimson Mammoth Warriors understood the graveness of the situation, they were still furious. A few members immediately sought out the Miracle Angel Tribe members and beat the hell out of them.
This incident angered the Miracle Angel Tribe, and they retaliated by cursing the Crimson Mammoth Warriors in the name of Light God.
However, this was just the first step. The Miracle Angel Tribe knew that to deal with the Crimson Mammoth Warriors, they needed an ally. Thus, they approached the Night Dagger Clan.
In the meantime, a summit occurred within Wang Jian’s mansion that comprised of Wang Jian, Fen Gen (the leader of the Night Dagger Clan), and Kang Fu (the head of the Crimson Mammoth Warriors).
Kang Fu glared at Fen Gen and shouted, “Where is my daughter?!”
Fen Gen’s calmly ignored Kang Fu. His eyes were fixated on Wang Jian.
Wang Jian had a rather malevolent smile on his face as he stared at Kang Fu, “It was me who summoned you here, Kang Fu.”
“What do you want, Wang Jian?!” Kang Fu shouted. He certainly felt much hatred for Wang Jian. Many of his clan members had lost their lives to Wang Jian’s subordinates.
“For one, your daughter is in my custody. And her safety largely depends on your attitude, Kang Fu,” Wang Jian calmly threatened.
Kang Fu flared his aura and shouted, “You dare?! If something happens to my daughter, I will stake my life to kill you?!”
Wang Jian didn’t even bat his eyes as he stared at Kang Fu, “Even if you kill me, she will still die due to the Devil Venom. You have any way to resolve that?”
“β¦.” Kang Fu gritted his teeth angrily but remained silent.
“I can even get rid of this poison. But I have a few conditions to it,” Wang Jian declared.
Kang Fu was startled to hear Wang Jian’s declaration. He was a bit doubtful of Wang Jian’s claim, but he recalled that Wang Jian was a Royal Prince of the Everlasting Mystical Empire. Maybe the Royal Family had a secret method to treat this Devil Venom.
“What are those terms?” Kang Fu spoke more calmly. His aura had dissipated to the extent that it couldn’t be felt.
Wang Jian smirked in response, “Continue your war with the Miracle Angel Tribe and bring them to their knees. I am sure you don’t have any issues with this condition considering their actions against your daughter.”
“Yes,” Kang Fu nodded.
“The second condition is to break all connection with Lin Feng. And that means to break off the engagement between him and your daughter, Kang Huian,” Wang Jian calmly stated.
At those words, Kang Fu showed a hesitant expression, “β¦That is impossible! Our entire tribe has already concluded the engagement ceremony in front of the War God. We can’t just break this engagement. It would be a great disrespect to our god.”
Wang Jian raised his brow upon hearing those words. He was about to order them a bit more sternly when another idea appeared in his head.
It was a despicable and vile idea, but Wang Jian felt that this would be the most appropriate and interesting way to deal with this situation.
“Okay, I’ll modify my condition. Turn over all martial and cultivation methods of your tribe,” Wang Jian instructed. ππ¦π₯ππ°π·ππ.ππ°π
Kang Fu clenched his fists upon hearing the condition and instinctively wanted to reject it, but he paused upon noticing Wang Jian’s cold gaze.
It was as if Wang Jian was stating that if Kang Fu dared to reject this condition, he would immediately have Kang Huian slaughtered.
Perhaps Kang Fu could get even with Wang Jian for Kang Huian by severely wounding or murdering him, but what good would it do when his daughter is dead?!
Thus, Kang Fu’s mind started to weigh the pros and cons behind this condition. On one side was his dear daughter while on the other were the cultivation techniques recorded by the ancestors of the Crimson Mammoth Tribe in the last thousand years.
Just as Kang Fu thought along this direction, he recalled a saying prevalent in his tribe.
“The life of a fellow member is the most important thing. Even if you have to give up everything to save him, it is worth it.”
The ancestors left this saying to ensure unity within the tribe. When Kang Fu recalled this saying, he instantly made his decision.
“I will personally bring all our cultivation and martial techniques. Is there any other condition?” Kang Fu inquired coldly.
Wang Jian wanted to add one last condition, but he changed his mind upon seeing Kang Fu’s expression.
He decided to leave something for later.
“Go and meet your daughter. It will be a long time before you might meet her again,” Wang Jian spoke.
Kang Fu didn’t understand the second half of Wang Jian’s sentence, but he didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about it. A servant arrived and led Kang Fu to his daughter’s resting place.
Kang Fu sucked a breath of cold air as he saw three warriors of the same rank as himself stationed near his daughter.
He realized it was impossible to take his daughter away by force.
