Chapter 214 - She Got The Wrong Man

Chapter 214 – She Got The Wrong Man

She directly slammed her palm on the table sending the men flying from the mighty force of her seraphic energy. Bodies were soon scattered on the floor accompanied by pained groans.

These men were all half Nocru but even they couldn't get up and fight. Mostly because they could feel the sinister energy coming from the assailant was too terrifying and they would suffer a horrible defeat.

A flash of green light blinded them and before they could recover from it Xiaoyu showed up in front of the man who was enthusiastically telling the story earlier on. She was crouching above his torso with a sharp blade at his throat her eyes glowing a fierce green colour.

"Where is it?" she asked in a low voice that sounded both ferocious and melodious, sweet to the ear.

The man seemed befuddled for a split second before waving his arms that were right above his neck stammering, "I, I don't know wha-what you are talking about."

The blade sunk deeper into his skin causing the man to hiss in pain. "The wedding ceremony, where is it?" she asked again sounding even more fierce than before.

"It's at, at Shan Wei Pavillion one town over, ple-please let me go," he said not willing to lose his life over this nonsense.

Having got what she wanted she got up and left the brothel. As her figure disappeared the entire brothel that was now silent was watching her frozen in place like creepy dolls. The corners of everyone's lips quirked up into a malicious grin before their bodies slowly disintegrated vanishing into thin air.

Xiaoyu took a few steps in the busy street before disappearing into thin air. She reappeared in the town mentioned earlier and as expected it was festively decorated in a beautiful red colour like the entire town was celebrating.

In large strides, she hurriedly followed the crowd intending to find her beloved who was about to get married. But it was as though the universe was against her because the crowd seemed to grow larger in numbers while blocking her path. It became incredibly difficult for her to push through the mob.

As she struggled to pass through she heard loud jeers and joyous laughter come from the crowd. Soon a tall figure dressed in red towered above the crowd riding a black stallion.

From where she stood she couldn't the person's face clearly but she knew it was Ji Yao from a single glance.

Behind him, a bridal sedan followed at the same pace. She clenched her fist in rage glaring at that sedan like she was going to blow it up with her eyes. But soon her anger subsided as she came up with a brilliant idea.

Her eyes flashed before she vanished on the spot. She reappeared right in the bridal sedan and immediately attempted to knock out this vixen that had seduced her man. The look of astonishment in the person's eyes couldn't be hidden behind that veil.

Before he could react Xiaoyu pinned him down before hitting his face with a lot of her seraphic energy concentrated in her hand. Having lost all self-restraint she threw punches, scratched his face and even slapped him. Soon the blood from his injuries couldn't be concealed by the red veil.

He fought back but it seemed he was powerless under the tyrannical hand of a scorned woman. She knew it had to be Rui Fei under that veil so she taunted him her eyes filled with killing intent.

"How does it feel bitch, huh? Can't answer now you fuckin bastard…. You are into kinky strangling stuff, right? Then let me strangle you and show you a good time just like you strangled me," as she said this she grasped his neck and began to strangle him with maniacal eyes.

"Yao-ge can only belong to me… do you hear me," she continued tightening her grip. Maybe it was because the person had realised she was about to kill him that he suddenly had enough strength to push her way.

The only problem was that the force he used was a bit much because both of them were pushed out of the sedan due to the powerful force. Each one of them fell at opposite sides, one at the right of the sedan and the other at the left side.

The men carrying the sedan suddenly stopped moving with one corner giving way falling to the ground. The crowd of onlookers craned their necks with great interest.

Xiaoyu was the first to get up. She walked over to the man laying on the ground and kicked him fiercely while calling him every nasty word known to man. The B word, C word, F word, M word, A word, S word and plenty more were thrown in there like a poisonous cocktail.

The man rolled on the ground coughing up a mouthful of blood. Soon the dusty ground was covered in blood turning it into a gruesome scene straight out of an abattoir.

She would have continued kicking him if it weren't for a powerful grey fog striking her chest and sending her flying into the crowd. She coughed up a mouthful of blood as she struggled to get up. Clutching her chest she limped over to the pair next to each other.

One was crouched down panic-stricken while the other lay on the ground barely moving. She suddenly appeared in front of them and snatched the veil from the man's head intending to put it on. Her gaze fell on the groom as she called out sweetly, "Yao-ge, you belo….."

Xiaoyu couldn't even finish her sentence when she saw the face of the supposed groom. It wasn't her sweet Yao-ge but….. Her heart pounding hard against her chest she slowly shifted her gaze to the man whose veil she had robbed. When she met his scornful gaze her heart sank.

Trembling she dropped the veil and took a step back. Her eyes instantly became bloodshot as uncontrollable tears flowed down her cheeks. "Yao-ge…. I, I," she said in a brittle voice as she took another step back. She made a weeping sound as she fell to her knees.

"I thought it was….. I," she continued to say before breaking out into a loud sob crawling towards Ji Yao.

Unfortunately, it was too late for apologies. Ji Yao turned his gaze away from her as he lay in Rui Fei's embrace. The look of disdain in his eyes was unmistakable.

This person didn't even want to see her. Rui Fei was even less forgiving. In a split second, her body was lifted in the air as the grey fog strangled her neck.

In choked sobs, she stretched out her hand to Ji Yao her eyes begging for his forgiveness, his love and his attention but Ji Yao didn't even pay attention to her. She was being ignored and treated like air.. She had lost him, she had lost her Yao-ge forever.
