Chapter 221 - Does It Matter If I Am Shirtless.....

Chapter 221 – Does It Matter If I Am Shirtless…..

Ji Yao didn't care for the audience behind him. He would rather scatter unintentional dog food to save his foolish boyfriend? Okay, not boyfriend….. for now, he could just call him his love interest, right?

This meant he didn't hesitate to feed the elixir to Rui Fei mouth to mouth. The touch of Rui Fei's lips felt icy cold like he had just eaten an ice cube. Ji Yao's lips trembled a little when his lips initially brushed against Rui Fei's from the cold but knowing this medicine would help he continued.

With the warm liquid trickling into Rui Fei's mouth and down his throat, he felt a little relieved. Rui Fei would get better soon and he won't be in pain anymore.

What he didn't realise was that the sickly pale skin on Rui Fei's face was swiftly regaining colour. A blush spread from Rui Fei's ears to his cheeks as his face grew hot from this unexpected reward. He clenched his fist in a place Ji Yao couldn't see as he reminded himself not to move.

'Just play dead….. how hard can that be, right?'

Wrong! How can anyone not react to their sweetheart taking the initiative to become intimate with them? Granted Ji Yao was only doing this to heal him and his intentions were pure but a lamb should know never to give kindness to a wolf. The end result was fairly obvious in this case.

Just as Ji Yao was withdrawing after feeding him all the elixir, the supposed to be knocked-out patient followed Ji Yao's lips that were parting from his like he was reluctant to separate from the comforting warmth.

Ji Yao opened his eyes and moved away from him a little only to find the man lying on his lap was following him with a slight pout of his lips.

Because Rui Fei's eyes were closed he didn't notice that he had just been found out. With his brow arched, Ji Yao pushed this pretend possum off his lap and stood up turning to walk away.

Ji Yao whose head was suddenly lying on the cold ground was taken aback as he opened his eyes. Propping up his body with his elbow he looked in the direction of Ji Yao's disappearing figure and called out, "Yao-ge…. I, I can't get up."

It was only then he saw the entire crew who were pretending not to have seen anything standing there.

From their expressions, it seemed they had witnessed the entire thing. His siblings were also there with Rui Li beaming like she had just received the biggest red envelope. Rui Yewan on the other hand was dying of second-hand embarrassment.

His older brother had turned a medical emergency into the public abuse of single dogs like it was their wedding or something. But that wasn't the most embarrassing part. The worse part was that he was actually acting pitiful like a wounded animal losing face in front of everyone.

It was hard to imagine this was the same person with a frosty attitude icing everyone out. In front of Ji Yao, he was like a defenceless puppy showing its tummy to its master for a belly rub.

Ji Yao paused his steps for a moment when he heard Rui Fei calling him. He pursed his lips while clenching his fist as though trying to decide whether he should go back and get him or not.

This person had deliberately jumped into the sea to come after him despite his eternal flame clearly conveying his message.

All this time he thought Rui Fei was safe on the other side giving him peace of mind but who would have thought he would be here without his knowledge. If anything was to happen to Rui Fei….. if he didn't find him in time would that gluttonous creature have torn him apart and eaten him?

He couldn't imagine what he would do if he lost him. Now he was playing possum worrying him to death. If he didn't walk away now Rui Fei would never learn his lesson. So he took a step forward hardening his heart which, believe it or not, was incredibly difficult.

Seeing that Ji Yao was actually leaving him behind Rui Fei panicked. He lightly cleared his throat and called out again, "Yao-ge… I really can't walk. My legs hurt," in an even more heart-rending voice that could arouse any mother fan's desire to protect this cub.

Of course, Ji Yao was not immune to this. His heart melted into a puddle on the spot and he found himself stopping again. Biting the inner lining of his mouth he unclenched his fist and turned to walk back not missing Rui Fei's blossoming smile like it was springtime.

"Let's go," said Ji Yao helping him up by his elbow. Ji Yao seemed to struggle a little as he staggered slightly while lifting him. He hadn't realised it before but Rui Fei was quite heavy. He placed Rui Fei's arm over his shoulder and let the youth's body lean against his for support as his hand slid across Rui Fei's waist to hold him up.

Rui Fei who was enjoying this treatment very much decided to blind the audience by winding his second arm around Ji Yao's chest before linking his two hands together.

With his face almost plastered against Ji Yao's he said, "Yao-ge, won't it be easier if you carry me on your back? My leg still hurts and it hasn't fully recovered yet."

Ji Yao glanced at Rui Fei's face that was so close to his before looking away while pressing his lips into a thin line. Only the heavens know how badly he wanted to kiss this cute, handsome shirt… less cub. He just had to pause his line of thought at the shirtless part because his gaze happened to linger below the neck.

He gulped as his gaze moved back up. Clearing his throat he tried to settle Rui Fei down only to have Rui Fei entwine his fingers tightly together refusing to let him go. After trying a couple of times to no avail he said, "Fei, let go. I need to take out some clothes for you to wear."

Rui Fei who had assumed his words had angered his fickle lover lowered his gaze towards his chest and licked his bottom lip before looking back up.

"Does it matter if I am shirtless? We are all men here… well excluding Li-er," he said looking up at the crowd that was sneaking glances at them. Coincidentally his gaze fell on an ashen-faced Xiaoyu standing next to Xunshi Zhe staring at him with an intense deadly gaze like she was going to chop him into pieces and feed him to the Yinying creature in the next moment.

Rui Fei who was in this situation because of her interference lost the smile on his face as his gaze shifted back at Ji Yao. "And her… why is she here? Wouldn't it have been better if you left her on the ship? She looks like a walking corpse," he said unamused by her presence.. She never bothered him before but after she became the reason why he left Red Bane this time her presence upset him greatly.
