Chapter 291 - Hurricane Yao
Chapter 291 – Hurricane Yao
Have you ever been in deep shit that you try by all means to prevent it but there is nothing you can do that can fix it? Well, that's exactly what Rui Fei was trying to do right now. He was trying to fix the cracks on a porcelain jar with duct tape. Everyone can clearly see that's duct tape ane it can't help mend the cracks.
He interrupted his uncle so many times trying to hint at him to shut it but the man kept going like he was high on something. The milk had already been spilt and even calling uncle sweetly couldn't save it. He only stopped interrupting when Ji Yao sheeshed him. Like a pup, after committing a crime he lowered his head with droopy ears and his tail tucked between his legs.
The road of love was no easy path to walk on. One wrong move and you get into trouble while a second ago you were happily eating bananas. Rui Fei's ears were hot from shame avoiding Ji Yao's burning gaze as his own uncle was digging his grave and he wasn't digging a shallow one either.
Ji Yao looked like he had been struck by something heavy. Don't get him wrong, he knew his little cub was black-bellied but he didn't think for once he would take things this far. And here he was thinking he was a pervert for dreaming about Rui Fei every night especially after they met.
It turns out he wasn't the pervert between them, it was this little mutt who pursued him in his dreams. 'Fuck,' he swore to himself recalling their first kiss in that bloody dream. It was the kiss he initiated and after that day Rui Fei's behaviour experienced a sudden change.
He had gotten the confirmation he needed by entering Ji Yao's dreams and so made his move to pursue him. Ji Yao's head hung low as he massaged his temple. He was so ashamed that he couldn't even raise his head.
They had made out in that dream and if Rui Fei hadn't mentioned the whole pregnant thing spoiling the mood he might have gone all the way with him as he believed there were no consequences. It turns out this brat came in his dreams on purpose and wouldn't have said anything.
This sudden realization made his anger trump his shame as he raised his head and glared at his cub sitting there with a guilty expression. An oppressive aura emanated from Ji Yao as a bright flash brighter than the sun struck outside the window followed by loud claps of thunder.
"Oh shit," mumbled Lan Wu when he saw that a huge storm was brewing. He was very upset with Huishe Yue but the man didn't take things to far that Lan Wu would leave him behind. For their own personal safety, they had to abandon Red Bane lest they are caught up in the crossfire.
"Let's go," he whispered to Huishe Yue but the man who had snitched on himself stared at him stupidly asking,
"What," in the softest voice he had never used before. He didn't want to further upset Lan Wu.
"Let's go now. I will settle scores with you later," he said pulling Huishe Yue up. He then turned to Ji Yao who looked like a nuclear bomb on the verge of exploding. He knew it was pointless saying anything right now but Ji Yao was the current pirate king and there were still rules in place.
"I, I forgot to feed my cat so, so I will be going your high…. ness," said Lan Wu the man who didn't even own a cat. Seeing that Ji Yao didn't respond he took the opportunity to make a break for it holding Huishe Yue's hand.
As soon as they stepped outside Huishe Yue recalled something troubling. He tugged Lan Wu's hand and said, "Ca-can we lock it….. I mean the door."
Lan Wu abruptly stopped and asked, "Why?" with his brows creased together. He had no idea what this man was thinking but being a face-con the chance of Lan Wu refusing was low.
"Well, because Fei-er is in there. I snitched on him and only the heavens know what despicable things he did in Ji Yao's dreams. Who do you think he will come for next after he is kicked out? Wu-er, help this big brother out."
"I already lost half my life under that imperial palace, I can't afford to fight with that vicious cub again otherwise it will shed off a couple of more years." As he made his case his hand didn't leave the door.
A frustrated Lan Wu rubbed his forehead before asking, "And how many years do you think you have left on average?"
"Six or probably seve-, no five, five," he said making Lan Wu's heart clench in pain. Five years, Huishe Yue only had five years to liv….
"hundred at least," said Huishe Yue finishing off his sentence.
Lan Wu, "…."
With a face filled with black lines, he gloomily stared at Huishe Yue. 'You are so lucky you have the face of an immortal otherwise I would have kicked you off my ship,' he thought and his expression accurately reflected his internal thoughts.
Huishe Yue who hadn't been looked at like that ever by Lan Wu felt unsettled. Where was the admiration, fear or that other expression Lan Wu made when Huishe Yue took off his shirt? This expression was so unfamiliar that it made him feel like a live lobster about to get its ass thrown into a pot of boiling water. "Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked suddenly feeling it might not be a good idea to bully his lackey in the future.
Lan Wu hurriedly fixed his expression as he sighed. "How long do you think you can keep them locked up. A day? An hour? Two minutes? Yue-ge, you can't delay the inevitable or should I call you old man Yue, pfft," as soon as he said this he covered his face with his sleeve laughing crazily before walking away.
It took about a minute for Huishe Yue to figure out his meaning and when he finally caught up he completely lost it. This lackey's tail had grown out of control. "You, who are you calling old. Tsk, stop right there. Who said you can leave."
Lan Wu who had suddenly found out how amusing it was to tease Huishe Yue couldn't help himself. Taking this as repayment for the intrusion of his privacy in his dreams he didn't hesitate to tease him some more. He turned around and with a look of surprise on his face, he said, "Ha! Ah-Fei!" which terrified this uncle so much that he jumped into the sea with a loud splash. When his head resurfaced and was about to swim away to Blue Urchin, Lan Wu's ship he heard Lan Wu's resounding laughter coming from the deck of the ship.. When he raised his head Lan Wu was looking down at him laughing himself to tears.
