Chapter 309 - He Is Not A Lover But A Homewrecker
Chapter 309 – He Is Not A Lover But A Homewrecker
There is no rose without thorns neither is their love without rival. This Turkish proverb is the perfect summation of this current situation. Xiaoyu found it difficult to move on from her first love, her hero who sacrificed his own safety to give her a second chance at life.
From the moment they met and he wore that dress standing in her stead she knew she had to repay him with her life and body.
She was like a victim of a house fire rescued from the fiery inferno by a firefighter only to find herself having fallen in love with her benefactor. Who could blame her, right? Who can resist a man in a uniform? They are like yummy snacks waiting to be unwrapped.
For the past two years, she had conditioned her mind to believe that Ji Yao was her only and ultimate goal. To her, it didn't matter what was happening around her as it was all a part of the backdrop. All that mattered to her was Ji Yao.
But at some point, a parasite had wormed its way into their harmonious space and wrecked her home before the foundation was stable. She might have lost the battle but she wasn't resigned to losing the war which is why she was here.
The only problem was that the person she sought help from actually thought she had something with that homewrecker which didn't settle well with her at all. That was why she angrily threw whatever she could lay her hand on. Because Rui Pianzi was hung over his reactions were especially slow.
A stream of blood flowed down his face as he clenched his jaw with his gaze still facing away from her. He seriously resisted the urge to kick this arrogant girl's ass because of her offer. He was in desperate need of money right now and couldn't afford to offend this young miss.
Taking out his handkerchief he silently wiped away the blood with a sullen expression. The room descended into silence with the only sounds coming from outside. The sound of birds chirping and people bustling about at the market was more distinct lessening the effects of the awkward silence.
Rui Pianzi didn't speak. He was waiting for her to state her purpose and sure enough, Xiaoyu couldn't stand it any longer and spoke first. Now that she had vented out her anger she felt a little bad for throwing a tantrum but she would never admit that.
She pursed her lips before saying, "I am not his ex but his love rival and I want him out of the picture."
Rui Pianzi's movements abruptly stopped as he looked at her in vexation. Love rival? Did that mean Rui Fei and miss sweet cheeks over here fell in love with the same girl or…. boy? His eyes squinted and he looked like he wanted to say something but he couldn't find the right way to phrase this question without offending the other party.
Seeing Rui Pianzi open and close his mouth several times like he was hesitating to ask something she interjected. "We fell in love with the same guy," she said with creased brows.
"Oh, phew. I thought…," he said glad he hadn't misunderstood but after a while, it dawned on him, "shit! Ah-Fei is a cut sleeve?…. HAHAHAHAHA HA HAHAHAHAHA and here I was thinking I am the only one who got fucked up after that horrible experience in that dungeon. Wow….. at least I came out of there with my sexuality intact."
Xiaoyu felt a little happy finally having found someone who also thought it was ridiculous for two boys to be together. Being on that ship day in and day out she started thinking she was the abnormal one especially since everyone didn't have any reaction to those two being intimate in front of everyone.
Even the only friend or rather sister she had developed a great relationship with relished in this absurd affair even abandoning her to ship Ji Yao with her brother. That betrayal completely blindsided her. She didn't understand what was good about two men being together and why a girl would like that.
Now that she had met someone who shared the same feeling as her she was happy. "So will you help me?" she asked her fierce expression from before softening.
Rui Pianzi's fingers curled on the bloodstained handkerchief with his gaze lowered lost in thought. After thinking it through he tilted his head slightly and said, "Why not simply let the scumbag go? I am sure this man can't be the only one who can manage to catch your eye. I mean, you are gorgeous and you can literally have anyone you want so…. why stick to this one person? What are the chances that you can even make him love you even with my brother out of the picture?"
"That's none of your concern… so will you help me or not?" she said recalling the crystal bottle in her possession.
"But you don't have the right instrument," he said with a look of astonishment written all over his face. She might as well forget it unless she can grow a cock and even then who knows if the man would accept her.
Xiaoyu clenched her fist till her knuckles turned pale. "I said it's none of your concern," she replied with gritted teeth while surrounded by a sinister aura.
Unwilling to upset the person holding his paycheck he changed the subject. "Then how may I be of service young miss?" he asked with a forced smile on his face.
Xiaoyu cooled down by a few degrees before saying, "You know his weaknesses better than anyone else…. Help me get rid of him."
Rui Pianzi's gaze shifted for a moment like he was thinking. He then stood up and began to unfasten the belt of his wet robe. At first, Xiaoyu didn't understand what he was doing that is until he held both sides of his lapel opening his robe.
She gasped with her eyes widening. If this was Ji Yao she might have taken a peek but this was a shameless stranger with no regard for common etiquette. Angered she covered her eyes and yelled, "You shameless son of a bitch! Why the fuck would you do that?"
Apparently, Rui Pianzi was the least bit affected by her outburst. He carried on taking off his robe with a roguish smile. "This is my house and I can do whatever the fuck I want. If you don't like it there is the front door," he said and watched the timid girl high tail out of there like her ass was on fire. A sly smile crept up at the corner of his lips as he tossed his robe on the broken table.
"Very interesting," he muttered under his breath.. He was threatened, harassed and insulted at their first meeting but he was somehow in a good mood.
