Chapter 738: He Never Stood A Chance From The Start
Ok… A bag of popcorn appeared… But you know, it would be nice to have a fizzy drink too… Like a soda or something?
…
Nothing happened.
Huh… And here I thought it would appear beside the popcorn or something… But I won’t complain about the popcorn though.
As I moved towards it, I realised I felt a weight on my right hand where there wasn’t any before this.
When I turned my gaze to the hand in question, I found a plastic cup with a straw stuck through its lid in my hand.
What the heck? Where did this come from? Wait…
I brought the cup up and stuck the straw through my lips, giving the liquid inside it a small sip.
Wait… This really is soda!! What?!
I’m more surprised that it even came in such a container which is only found in our old World!
Wait… Can I…
I want some cotton candy!!
I felt something appear in my left hand.
Looking to the side, there it was, a rainbow coloured cloud of fluffy cotton candy.
Waaahhh!! This place is the best!!
Om nom nom nom~ The cotton candy is so sweet too! It’s so perfect!!
Oh!! The popcorn better be the sweet kind of popcorn!
I went to sit down on the couch and grabbed the box before I threw one of the pieces in my mouth, feeling the sweet taste of it upon my tongue.
It’s caramel popcorn!
I then washed that down with the soda in my hands and it definitely felt like I was at the movies watching a show instead of where I was at the moment.
Mmmmmm!!! This is the best!!
Perchance I could even have a slice of chocolate cake while I’m at it?
A table appeared out of thin air before a plate, knife and fork materialised on it followed by the slice of chocolate cake I asked for.
Waaahhh!! This is the best place ever!! Now I hope I have time to fully enjoy all this before it ends~

Oh wow, I was so distracted by the sweets that I completely forgot that this guy was currently in a fight right now.
Err… What did I miss?
Looking at the stupid Off-Worlder, I found him huffing from the exertion he must have gone through trying to defeat the last few waves while I was distracted by the sweets.
While it doesn’t look like he was injured, it was obvious that he was tired from the fights so far and it seems like he might be having second thoughts about this challenge.
The gates opened and the next monster stepped out, revealing itself to be an Orc Berserker wielding two double bladed axes in his hands.
The monster immediately let out a roar of challenge at idiot Jerry before charging towards him, covering several feet with each stride.
Jerry was already firing off his spell the moment the Orc appeared, aiming a [Earth Ball] at the Orc Berserker’s knee and hitting him right on the kneecap.
I’m guessing he was hoping to slow him down or something with that attack. But unfortunately for him, the Orc Berserker shrugged off the attack without even acknowledging it.
He seemed to have planned for that however as he was already chanting another spell right after throwing out that spell.
As the Orc Berserker neared Jerry, he leapt the last few feet in an attempt to cleave him horizontally into two with one of his axes, slashing in an arc towards the stupid Off-Worlder’s left side.
Jerry managed to complete his chant for [Shadow Glide] before the attack reached him, using the spell to increase his speed to move away from the attack.
Using the speed boost, he quickly distanced himself from the Orc Berserker to start chanting another spell.
“Mirror my body and reshape to the one before me. Adapt, shift and reform till the flesh and beneath is as my will. All that is theirs shall be mine as I will it, all that is mine shall be stored for my return! [Body Mimicry]!!”
The spell quickly took effect and his body shifted to transform into an Orc Berserker. The only difference was the fact that his weapons still remained the same instead of turning into the dual axes the Orc berserker had.
I’m guessing this was what he used to defeat his previous opponents which also explained why he was so out of breath since he was physically fighting them instead of just flinging spells at his opponents at a distance.
I’m not even sure if it’s a good idea for this one because the Orc Berserker was stronger than him and more experienced than he was at physical combat.
The idiot Off-Worlder raised his shield just as the Orc Berserker charged at him while I took the opportunity to toss another popcorn in my mouth.
The double bladed axe struck his shield and he pushed the weapon aside to stab his sword at the monster.
It managed to pierce about an inch into the Orc before it stopped, leaving just a superficial wound on the monster.
To Jerry’s credit, he did not panic and quickly pulled back his sword while swinging his shield towards the Orc’s head to smash it against the side of his face.
The blow caused the monster to stumble a step back, giving Jerry the space he needed to brace himself before swinging his sword downwards in an overhead slash.
The orc recovered faster than he thought and managed to raise his axe to block the slash before immediately delivering a kick into Jerry’s abdomen and sending him skidding back.
The Orc Berserker did not let him recover as he quickly leapt after him to swing his other axe at him.
Jerry only just managed to raise his shield before the axe smashed into it, the blow actually shattering the construct and breaking the shadow weapon into pieces.
I thought he would be finished but he managed to use the force of the blow to spin around and slash at the Orc Berserker’s arm, cutting off the monster’s left hand at the wrist.
The monster roared out in pain and stepped back, blood spurting out from the stump that used to be its hand.
Jerry quickly dropped his staff and pried the axe out of the hand’s grip to equip it in his free hand.
I’ll have to admit though, he’s actually pretty good. Though I suppose he did admit he had been doing this challenge quite a number of times already so he should have quite a lot of battle experience by now.
He quickly rushed up to the Orc Berserker, thrusting his sword towards him in an attempt to stab him in the chest.
The orc let out a roar and parried the blow away, which was clearly a mistake as that leave him completely open to the axe swing that came right after the sword thrust.
The axe connected with the orc’s neck and completely decapitated the monster, a fountain of blood spraying from the neck even as the head flew through the air to spin several times before hitting the ground.
Jerry took a step back as the body wobbled for a few seconds before finally collapsing backwards on the ground.
He undid his transformation and quickly picked up his staff and summoned another shield to strap on his arm as the words appeared in the air.

Well, at this point, I wasn’t even caring that he was defeating those monsters since I was too busy enjoying the sweets I have in front of me right now.
I took another bite from my cotton candy before putting another piece of the cake into my mouth and washing it down with the soda.
Jerry turned to the gates just as it opened and I was expecting the boss to be an Orc General or maybe even a Steel Minotaur or something.
There was a loud stomp and the arena shook, though it seems like my box was protected from that since I felt nothing. I only knew that it shook because Jerry stumbled back a step and the dust on the ground moved.
Jerry was looking at the gate with trepidation while I was looking at it with anticipation, wondering just what was the boss that he would be facing.
There was another stomp and Jerry took a few steps back, his eyes widening and what I recognised to be fear appearing on his features.
Very soon, what looked like a claw grabbed on the edge of the gate and the monster soon pulled itself out, revealing it to be a Frost Wyvern.
It crawled out into the open and regarded the stupid Off-Worlder in front of it with a eye, as though wondering just what kind of idiot he was to even want to challenge it.
Jerry dropped his sword on the ground, “Im… Impossib–“
He didn’t even get to finish what he wanted to say before the wyvern’s head snapped forward and bit him in half, leaving only his lower body standing in the arena while his torso disappeared in the wyvern’s mouth.
Well… That was anticlimactic.
