Chapter 338 Battle For Spring Realm (1)
The next day, Isaac was walking in the vast streets of Stronglord.
The streets were packed with players. Isaac noticed that every player had gathered among their own groups. They kept shouting till their faces became red.
Each group was recruiting for their expedition team. The goal was to find the pathway that led to the second realm.
There had been rumors that the Inner Layer of the Forest of Unknown was the place of the pathway. It was a valid theory because, in West Continent, the path was located in a forest similar to the Forest of Unknown.
It was near Starting City, and the level limit was 100. Everything about it was familiar to the Forest of Unknown, and the pathway was located in the innermost layer.
For the first time since the Colosseum’s appearance, it was pretty empty. It was as expected. More content appeared, which attracted the whole player base.
Then, Isaac noticed one of the groups gathering a lot of attention. The leader of that expedition team was shouting that they had Archaeologist. Next to him, a young man with a sun hat was standing idly.
His chin was slightly raised, and he was obviously disinterested in the fact that he gathered a lot of attention. However, deep in his eyes, there was a sign of gloating. Since his birth, he never amounted to anything. He was never really needed.
But now, he was one of the highest-leveled Archaeologists and was wanted by every Top Guild!
He only joined this expedition team because they paid him a significant amount of money. It was an amount he had never seen before.
The Leader of the expedition team was a man named Kizone. He was a lanky-built man with a short blond beard and hair. There was nothing special about him except his wealthy family.
He was wearing a heavy armory with a hefty steel shield and longsword. There were emblems and symbols around his armor.
None of them could understand what they meant, but they understood what class he was in.
‘Paladin.’ Isaac stepped forth and slowly arrived where they were shouting. There was a crowd in front of him, but he managed to weave through them easily.
Then, when he was at the front of the group, he raised his arm and said, ”Can I join?”
Kizone shifted his gaze toward the white-haired youth and looked disinterested at first but then saw his name.
Wraith!
His eyes widened in a shock, and he was happily about to agree.
But then, a man with brownish hair and dirtied face took a step forward and pointed at Isaac, ”We don’t need cheaters. Get lost!”
Isaac raised his eyebrow and saw the player who shouted at him.
[Oxwell]
He shrugged and turned around. When Isaac was about to leave, Kizone raised his hand and slapped Oxwell’s head.
Smack!
”Ah!” Oxwell didn’t expect to get hit. He fell from the small platform they were standing at and landed right in front of the crowd with humiliation coloring his face.Pa nda
No vel ”Ah, wait!” Then, Kizone shouted after Isaac and sighed a relief after seeing him stopping.
”We would love to have with you.” He put his hands together and did a slight bow, ”Wraith.”
The Archaeologist, who goes by the name of Lather, looked surprised to see the white-haired youth. His arrogance crumbled a bit.
Isaac nodded and stopped next to the platform. He glanced at Oxwell, who was slowly standing up with a red face.
Oxwell patted the dust off and looked hatefully toward Kizone before hopping back to the platform. This time, he didn’t open his mouth and stayed silent in the corner.
Then, Kizone clapped his hands and spoke to everyone who had gathered, ”Our team is now full. Thanks to everyone for your interest.”
The crowd looked displeased. But, they were aware that nothing they said would change anything.
They left, leaving the expedition team alone.
”Alright, let’s go!” Kizone motioned everyone to begin moving. They left the platform and started walking toward their next destination with armor rattling and footsteps tapping the ground.
While walking, Isaac decided to find out what class his teammates were. Kizone was Paladin, and Lather was Archaeologist. Isaac saw a cute-looking girl walking next to him, her cheeks dyed as she took a few glances at him.
He noticed the pouches she was carrying and concluded that she was Medic. Then, there was Oxwell, who had two guns hanging from his waist. He took a deep look at his weapons and his attire.
‘Hitman.’ Then, Isaac looked at the rest of the teammates. There was Spellcaster, Swordsman, and Brawler.
There were a total of 10 on the team, including Isaac. However, he couldn’t find out the class of the last person on the team.
A man with red armor and a helmet strode forth only several meters away from him. A scabbard was hanging from his hip. However, the weapon seemed rather odd.
Isaac saw the symbols on the handle and widened his eyes in surprise, ‘Katana?’
He rubbed his imaginary beard and thought, ‘Unique Class…’
Soon, the expedition team reached City Square. Isaac wondered why they went there. There was nothing except the Realm Portals.
Kizone opened his interface and took out a leather pouch filled with White Coins. He gave it to the Guard, who opened the Realm Portal.
”Wait… What is this?” Isaac mumbled aloud, and the Medic managed to hear him.
”Eh, you don’t know about Realm Portals?” She looked stunned.
”I know about them, but where is he going?” Isaac said while pointing at Kizone.
”Oh.” The Medic nodded and understood what he didn’t understand. It was still not common knowledge.
”It is possible to teleport small distances. Traveling to Forest of Unknown costs 1000 White Coins.” She explained calmly.
”Oh!” Isaac felt facepalming. He had wasted his Teleportation Pearls for nothing. But, this was good news. It meant that he didn’t have to use them anymore and try to save them till he had to escape a strong enemy.
Soon, everyone had entered the Realm Portals except Isaac. He paid the Guard, who accepted the pouch and gave him a purple ticket.
The Guard patiently explained what the ticket was. Isaac listened closely and widened his eyes in amazement.
Apparently, the purple ticket would allow him to travel back to Stronglord. There weren’t any Realm Portals in Forest of Unknown, so the purple ticket would teleport him back without extra cost.
