Chapter 380 - Revenge (1)
Chapter 380 – Revenge (1)
”Winner is Wraith!” The beautiful gladiator announced with a thrilled look. Her eyes showed endless obsession and happiness.
”Eh?” Then, some signs of emotion became visible in Isaac’s eyes as he jolted awake. His white eyes turned gray.
”What… Happened?” He looked around him and couldn’t see his opponent anywhere.
”Where is he?”
”Did he give up?”
The Players, and the audience, that witnessed it, felt utter disbelief.
Many felt depressed knowing that there was someone like Wraith in the game. Immortal and unbeatable.
The beautiful gladiator hopped toward him and stopped only two meters away. She had to because the scent of the white-haired young man made her legs weak and light-headed.
She sniffed the air, trying to inhale more of that delicious scent.
Then, a Wheel of Victory descended from the sky and stopped in front of Isaac.
”Right…” He took a deep breath and grabbed the wheel’s handle. Isaac hoped to receive something that would help him in the long term. Then, he spun it around, and the words became unreadable.
The colors flashed, and the wheel hummed as it slowly slowed down.
After several moments, the wheel was stopped entirely.
Isaac’s eyes shook, and the audience looked confused.
The beautiful gladiator shouted, ”The reward is Resin of Dreams!”
[Resin of Dreams Acquired!]
Isaac clenched his fist and screamed internally. While the audience and players were confused about what it was, he knew exactly how important it was.
It was perhaps the best reward he could ask for!
Only three ingredients were needed for Dream Potion, and then he could cure both his and Luna’s illness!
”Thanks,” Isaac said while receiving his reward. The beautiful gladiator, who heard the words of gratitude, held her chest and felt like she could now die as a happy woman.
After receiving his reward, Isaac was teleported away. Then, he sneaked out of the winner’s room and left the Colosseum.
There were several players that tried to find him but couldn’t.
Soon, Isaac was back in his rented residence, and he immediately logged off.
…
After waking up in real-life, Isaac took out the headset and placed it on the box. Then, he took it to the wardrobe and went to his desk.
He grabbed an empty notebook from his locked cabinet and took a pencil from his pencil case. Then, he began writing.
This time, he didn’t write about what he did today; instead, about the plan of his revenge.
It was time for him to finally end his fear. It was time for him to get his revenge on Oliver and his group of friends.
Isaac heard from Amanda that Oliver had gotten bolder, even though she obviously didn’t want to meet him. He also was getting angrier and was seen hanging out in Red Light District.
His reputation in the eyes of Amanda has never been lower. She thought that he was a disgusting person who had only one thing in his mind.
Many were worried about what Oliver might do once the school re-open. But, Isaac never planned to allow him to enter school ever again.
He forced him to stop the school. Isaac planned to do the same to him. It was difficult because Oliver didn’t have overprotective parents that would force him to stay at home.
”I can’t defeat them all…” Isaac mulled over his lack of strength. He knew what he should do to make everyone hate Oliver, but he would still need to defeat them, but he didn’t have the power to do that.
”Power… Wait…” Then, Isaac had dawn of realization, ”I can’t defeat them… But, what if I can?”
Isaac’s gaze lingered in the direction of the wardrobe, and his mouth curved upward, ”That’s right… I am not strong enough, but my avatar is!”
”I can teleport to real-life using Teleportation Pearl…” Then, another problem arose, ”The problem is the time limit. Not sure how long I can last with Mythical since I could only last 10 minutes with Bronze…”
”It should be at least a few hours— that should be enough.” Isaac nodded and started writing in the notebook. He did the final preparations.
…
The following day.
Isaac was packing up his backpack, which was soon crammed with items. There was the bo-staff, bandaids, medical equipment, and everything that would be needed if he got hurt.
Then, he took out a blanket from the wardrobe and tied them to each other. Soon, a long rope was made from them.
He opened the window that faced the backyard. Then, he dropped the rope made from blankets and climbed down.
Once his feet landed on the snowy ground, he looked around warily and didn’t see anyone. Then, he jumped over a smaller fence and saw a forest some distance away.
He ran inside the forest and continued running in the soft snow. His winter boots got buried in the snow, but he didn’t stop running.
Soon, he entered the edge of the forest and saw another neighborhood at the bottom of the slope. This neighborhood was where middle-class families lived.
Isaac ran down the slope and soon appeared in the streets. The yards were bustling with families cleaning the excess snow.
Soon, Isaac stopped in front of a house.
From the outside, the house looked intimate and cozy. It was built with white bricks.
Small square-shaped windows let in plenty of light that has been added to the house in a very asymmetrical way.
The house was equipped with a modern kitchen and one large bathroom. It also had a spacious living room, three bedrooms, a roomy dining room, a cozy office-like room, and a garage.
The roof was triangular shaped and built with black-colored tiles, and the house itself was surrounded by a modest garden, mostly covered in snow, and a children’s playground.
Isaac stopped in front of the door and knocked several times. Soon, slow footsteps rang in the room, and then, a sleepy-looking middle-aged woman appeared while wearing a nightgown with droopy-looking eyes.
”Who is it…?” She asked with a sleepy tone.
”Nice to see you again, aunt Kira.” Isaac smiled handsomely.
