Chapter 435 The Final Battle (4)
Chapter 435 The Final Battle (4)
Snowstar, Near the Heart, inside the Police Station.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
In a corner office, the station’s Police Captain rhythmically tapped his index finger against the solid glass desk. In his left hand was a TV remoter, which he used to change to channels that were shown on the TV.
“Today, there was a strange snowstorm phenomenon…” The TV showed News Channel. Then, the Police Captain changed the channel with one press of a button.
“The recent increase in video game addicting made many school teachers worried…” Another News Station.
“As the snake’s poisonous tongue inched closer toward its victim, its pupils started to slowly contrast as it readied itself for an attack!” The Discovery Channel.
Clink…
The Police Captain closed the TV with one tap at the off button. Then, he placed the remoter in his left drawer and pulled out a sketch of the culprit of the recent robbing incident.
Slam!
The door was slammed open suddenly, and an abnormally pale police officer came in running.
“Captain, did you see the email I sent you? This is urgent!”
“What email?” The Police Captain asked while slowly closing the drawer. Then, he saw a blur dashing across the room, taking the keyboard from the desk and turning the monitor to face him.
“What are you doing?” The Police Captain frowned at his subordinate, who seemed to be panicking as his fingers trembled while smashing against the keyboard.
“This is urgent!” Soon the email was pulled out to the screen, and the police officer turned the monitor back to face the Captain, and then a video began rolling.
At first, the Police Captain was checking the video with boredom. However, everything took a sharp turn as the voice of the youth echoed out of the screen. His face slowly changed shades.
After the video was over, he turned toward his subordinate, his face grim, “Are the location of these kids known?”
The police officer pursed his lips, “I am not sure… But, we have a clue. Not long ago, we received a prank text message saying there were intruders in an abandoned hospital. That sounded similar to the prank call about the school.
“So, we thought it wasn’t much, but the name Oliver was mentioned… and, I ordered a few police officers to check Oliver’s house, and only his mother was there.”
The police captain snatched his coat from the nearby hanger and stepped out of his office while shouting his heart out.
“Everyone, get in your cars. The location is an abandoned hospital, a few miles away from the Heart!” After his shout, all the active police officers sprung to their feet, grabbed their coats, and rushed toward their vehicles.
The police officer behind him gulped and asked,” W-w-w-will Maxwell really order his death warrant when he finds out?”
“Of course!” The police captain snapped while taking his keys from the drawer and stomping toward the building’s doors, “But, I am not the most worried about him. There are some crazy fuckers hiding in the shadows ready to show their faces and bare fangs at Oliver.”
“Let’s arrest him, or our reputation will quickly dip in sewers!”
…
Crkkkk…
Isaac walked in the long dim hallways with the barbed wire bat dragging behind him.
As he continued walking past the long-paneled windows, he took a quick glance at his wristwatch and murmured, “They must have seen it already…”
Any Snowstar-related video was usually seen by police within 24 hours. The reason was the last year’s incident where a criminal recorded a video of his intent to rob someone. It was successful, and he almost killed his victim.
If the police had taken that more seriously or acted quicker, they would have prevented it. The robber, in the end, got arrested but not before he shed more blood. Now, he was rotting in a deep hole, never going to see another speck of light.
‘The magnitude of my video must be on their priority list… That’s why I added a very popular keyword, ‘criminal,’ to the description… That will definitely catch the interest of the police.’
Isaac continued humming a merry tune when the doors not far from him were slammed open. Oliver and Luke stepped out while sweating furiously. They also carried the same barbed wire bat.
Their grips on the bat tightened, and they lunged forwards. Oliver ran on the left-handed side and Luke on the right. They tried a pincer attack.
Isaac spun the bat around him and felt the weight of the barbed wire pushing the bat slightly down. One strike would hurt like hell.
Oliver’s muscles bulged. He took a long stride forward and used all his body’s momentum to make a powerful swing. Isaac had already placed his feet back and readied himself for dodging.
As the bat got closer, Isaac leaned back and dodged Oliver’s crazy swing.
Luke then resumed smashing his bat down but only managed to miss Isaac’s body by hair length. Then, Isaac grabbed the bat with two hands and smashed it toward Luke’s collarbone.
Luke desperately put the bat in the way but got slung backward due to the impact. His back crashed with the window, and he could feel the sound of shattering glass behind him. A cold sweat drenched his back as he realized how close he was to death!
Oliver gritted his teeth, jumped slightly above the tiled floor, and ragefully smashed the bat down!
“AHHH!” Isaac’s and Oliver’s screams echoed in the hospital as they both smashed their bats against each other!
Two bats struck.
BAM!
After the initial clash was over, Oliver’s eyes shook as he saw Isaac’s bent knees slowly straightening up. He was losing the battle of strength!
“H-How!” Oliver screamed with disbelief.
“You have become weaker…” Isaac’s lip curved into a joyful grin, and then he smashed Oliver’s bat away and chased after with one last smash of the bat!
Crack!
Isaac’s bat sent Oliver’s weapon to fly off from his grasp!
Thud…
Oliver rolled onto the ground and only managed to stand up after crashing into the back wall.
Both Luke and Oliver looked at Isaac fearfully. Their eyes showed vigilance.
Isaac grabbed the bat tighter and felt more confident than ever before in his life. However, then footsteps echoed from the hallway, and six-armed young men came running.
Oliver and Luke couldn’t help but grin. The victory seemed to be upon them. However, Isaac’s grin didn’t change even the slightest because he saw a flicker of blue and red light coming from outside.
