Chapter 441 The Grand Auction (2)
Chapter 441 The Grand Auction (2)
As the auction hall’s light’s dimmed down, the people grew silent. There were still several minutes before the start, but they continued staying silent out of respect.
Isaac saw a catalog of items placed on top of the small desk. He picked it up and flipped through the pages while Luna watched.
Then, their eyes widened as they saw pages 80 and 81. The pages showed the Root of Dreams and Leaves of Dreams.
Luna’s fists tightened, and her lips trembled. Her cure was only arms-length away, but it seemed a distance impossible to be crossed.
Isaac closed the catalog and crossed his legs. There was a long wait for those items. Until then, they were in the role of spectators.
”Isaac…” Luna opened her mouth, murmured with a voice that was low in volume, and closed her mouth again. Isaac didn’t notice her attempt to talk.
She turned her face away, trying to focus on some other things. The chances of winning those two items were nigh-impossible.
Even winning the first item, Root of Dreams, was difficult, immensely difficult.
Then, they still would need to have enough money to bid on Leaves of Dreams. That was even harder than winning the first bid!
She knew that Isaac would blame himself for their loss and was thinking of ways of comforting him. She didn’t want him to feel bad because of her.
Her eyes rippled like water’s surface, and tiny beads of tears brimmed around the corner of her blue eyes. But she quickly wiped them away and straightened her back, acting like everything was fine.
The auction hall’s ceiling light was killed off. Then, the light above the stage was lit up, and a warm light shrouded the stage.
Then, curtains were opened, and a handsome silver-haired man walked toward the center of the stage. The audience held their breaths, acting extremely respectfully toward him.
”Welcome, everyone.” His crisp sound reverberated across the hall. Then, a loud clapping came from the direction of the audience.
After the clapping cooled down, the silver-haired man smiled and said, ”Today is time for the auction of the decade. It is to celebrate the opening of Grand Auction House of Stronglord, and perhaps largest Auction House in entire Summer Realm!”
Clap!
The claps reverberated.
”Today’s items are from Summer, Spring, Autumn, Winter, and even… From the God Realm!”
Gasp!
The audience gasped after the mention of the legendary God Realm!
”There are also items from Dream Realm, Spawn Dimension, Moon Realm, and Time Realm!”
Each word sent a wave of shock toward the audience. Everyone was holding a catalog in their hands, and all of them had written down the most valuable items.
Everyone was waiting anxiously for the top items, starting from 80th!
”Well then, enough of my ramblings, let’s start the auction!” With a snap of his fingers, the curtains opened again, and a beautiful woman pushed a cart to the center stage.
The audience turned loud and, with anticipation, looked toward the cart.
Inside one of the VIP suites.
”Hmm…” Emperor Lock Stronglord rapped his finger against the table and curiously flipped through the catalog of items. Behind him were several servants and two of his sons, Key and Brass.
Key was a normal-faced man with short blond hair and a well-toned body. He was wearing royal robes and was curiously looking toward the stage.
Brass was a bulky-looking man with blond hair and with receding hairline. He was very muscular, the robes barely hiding his muscles. He seemed to be bored.
”God Realm items… Interesting.” Emperor Lock Stronglord murmured and closed the catalog. With interest piqued, he curiously looked forward to the upcoming items.
Inside another VIP suite.
Isaac and Luna were talking about what had happened past three weeks.
Since Isaac wasn’t in-the-game, Lune couldn’t keep the store open either. She was inexperienced and might have messed some things up.
Khione visited several times, always wondering where Isaac was. Seeing Luna circling around the bushes and not answering, she understood that something had happened and disappeared soon after.
She didn’t return anymore after that.
Luna also heard about some commotion in Snowstar’s High School. White-robed individuals were offering sacrifices to some ”God”, begging to save someone with a name that starts with I.
Isaac’s eyebrow twitched after hearing that and changed the conversation topic. He asked whether there were anything Realm Portals related.
Luna said with a slight smile that the Priesthood Players found out the location of the Realm Portal. Then, a big battle ensued because the priests and priestesses didn’t let anyone inside the High Temple.
In the end, they had to come to an arrangement. The priests and priestesses understood the terrifying power of the players. They were basically immortals, while they weren’t.
The High Priest and Priestess allowed the Players to use the Realm Portals to travel across the Realms. Also, the Dungeon was still off-limits. The Players argued about that for a long while, but then they allowed the strongest player present to try it out. If he could survive 10 minutes, they were allowed to use it.
The Players thought that it was easy. The strongest player was, after all, level 210 with a strong Guild backing him up. With high morale, he entered the dungeon, but only minutes later, a notification rang throughout the Priesthood that he had died.
That was a waking-up call for everyone. There were some monstrous-looking beasts hidden in the dungeon.
When that so-called strongest player in Priesthood returned to the game after 1 week, he was already slightly behind others. He then continued saying that the dungeon was impossible. Some mob beast killed him that might have been the weakest beast in the entire dungeon!
That was shocking news. Thus, everyone stopped trying the Dungeon and focused on leveling up.
Isaac mulled slightly. He was three weeks behind other players, and his Worldwide ranking was around 5000.
However, he knew by breaking the chains of the limitations, he would be able to catch up with everyone and go way beyond until everyone had to try to catch him!
