Chapter 491 Crazed world (4)

Chapter 491 Crazed world (4)

The citizens in their homes closed their eyes. They could still hear the sound of the screaming on the TV.

The news reporter also closed her eyes and prepared for death. Even if she could dodge, the aftermath of the shockwave would send her flying away. With her frail body, she would die instantly..

The shockwave produced breezes of harsh wind was a signal that it was getting closer. The closer it got, the more scared the news reporter and cameraman got.

Whoosh!

Wham!

A shadowy figure descended from the sky and landed in front of the news reporter. The shockwave hit him, but it suddenly dispersed and disappeared into the ground!

The citizens who kept their eyes open couldn’t believe the sight. It was like the shockwave was too afraid to hit him.

After the wind calmed down, the news reporter shakily opened her eyes and saw the back of a tall man. His white hair flapped behind him, and the well-toned back muscles gave a sense of security.

”W-Who?” The news reporter and citizens alike asked it in their minds.

”You alright, ma’am?” Isaac asked while slightly turning his head around enough for the camera to capture his face.

”W-Wait, you are!” The news reporter exclaimed and recognized the white-haired man!

-Flashback-

Local News Station of Happylaugh, inside a dark office.

The beautiful chocolate brown-haired news reporter scrolled down the White Online forums. Her desk was full of unfinished paperwork, and the building was turning emptier as the sun drifted further away from the sky.

Ding! Ding!

”Hmm?” She pulled out her phone and checked the notification that had just appeared on her phone. It showed that Streamer called Wraith just went live on StreamKing.

”He is live!” She screamed with excitement. However, she soon realized her blunder and covered her mouth in embarrassment. She looked around, but luckily the building was relatively empty, and no one heard her scream.

She grabbed the mouse, left the forums, and went straight to StreamKing.

In there, she saw Wraith’s stream on top of the first page as the view count was rapidly increasing.

[Viewers: 1,645,067]

She entered the stream and saw the handsome white-haired man writing a book. It was a Slice of Life stream, but the chatters loved every moment of it. His streams were a rarity; usually, there was only one stream every month.

”Sigh, he looks so dreamy…” She rested her cheek on her palm. The chat was moving quickly, and she could recognize many of the chatters being female by how they talked about him.

There was another celebrity in the chat, known as Divinity, the sole mod of Wraith’s stream. No one knew who he was, but he was doing the work of 100 mods all by himself and didn’t seem to be even tired.

People liked Wraith because of his mysteriousness, and people liked Divinity because of the same reason. He was an unknown player and was also the one who uploaded clips and videos to Wraith’s VideoKing channel.

People were desperate to find out who he was, and there were several rumors about him.

Knock, knock.

Suddenly, a tall man wearing a suit appeared in the doorway. He knocked on the glass door two times.

”Oh, boss!” The beautiful news reporter stood up in a hurry while sneakily hiding the monitor screen.

”Sigh, Linda, shouldn’t you go home?” Her boss said while massaging his temple.

”S-Soon!” Linda said while sneakily glancing in the direction of the monitor. She might miss the stream if she suddenly left for home!

”Right…” Her boss shook his head and left for home, leaving Linda alone in the dimly lit building.

Linda immediately sat back down and turned towards the monitor, ‘I would like to interview him, at least once… Sigh, far-fetched dream.’

”Y-You are wraith!” Linda shouted as she gazed at Isaac’s back.

The citizens watching the TV heard her voice. At first, they didn’t realize who he was and felt silly after hearing her voice. They were astonished, and their minds became numb after so many things had happened.

Now, they could also recognize the person, which wasn’t that hard.

In a random household, somewhere in District Seven.

”Hmm, isn’t he the one, our daughter, adores?” A middle-aged woman asked while sitting in the living room of a neat-looking house.

”Hmm, Mia!” A middle-aged man beside her turned his head around and shouted towards the upstairs.

Suddenly, rapid footsteps echoed from the stairs, and soon a cute round-faced girl appeared. She looked curious as she looked at her father.

”Wraith is on TV, he was your idol, right?”

”WHAT?!” Mia skipped towards the couch and peeked towards the TV screen with her pupils shaking. After seeing his face on the TV, she immediately recognized him.

”Why is he on TV? What is happening?!”

”Two Chain Breakers are fighting, right in here, in Happylaugh.” Her father said. There were slight tremors not long ago, which most likely came from the direction of District Ten.

”Then Wraith suddenly appeared.” Her mother continued, ”And saved the news reporter, who was most likely going to die!”

”Wait, he is here?!” Mia screamed in shock and pulled out her phone. Her classmates were freaking out in their group chat. They were also watching the news.

”Oh.” Henry and All-In-One ceased their fighting after Isaac arrived. Their instincts told them that this man was dangerous. In their eyes, Isaac’s face looked shadowy, like two dark red eyes were gazing at them from the depths of the darkness.

Their faces turned pale, and breathing turned rougher.

”All-In-One… Isn’t it the Sword of Myth’s duty to keep the citizens safe? What the hell are you doing?” Isaac’s voice was powerful, and it was heard by everyone.

All-In-One looked around, and it was the first time he focused his concentration on something else. His face turned paler as he saw the destruction and the angry citizens.

In Tartarus.

All-America’s face was dark as he looked at the monitor that showed the satellite image of Happylaugh. There was also a TV that showed Happylaugh’s local news, and his face grew even darker after Isaac arrived.

”G-General?” A soldier whose occupation was pilot arrived on the command deck.

”Get the helicopter ready,” All-America said coldly, and the sky above Tartarus turned darker. It was like a hellish storm was about to be unleashed!
