Chapter 503 Divine Legacy
Chapter 503 Divine Legacy
The members of One Heaven gathered on nearby rooftops, looking down at Isaac with ridicule on their faces.
The dark-cloaked figure lifted his hood and revealed his somewhat gentle and handsome face.
[Underlord]
Isaac tried to rise to his feet. However, shadowy chains suddenly appeared from the ground and bound his limbs.
Underlord waved his hands and completely locked Isaac in the chains.
Xunter landed next to him and grinned broadly, ”Should I call you Under, or Lord?”
Underlord glanced at him with a cold gaze, ”You shouldn’t say my name.”
Xunter shrugged his shoulders innocently, ”Fine, fine.”
Isaac perked up his ears and was sure of his identity, ‘Underlord?! Why is he attacking me? Is he working with One Heaven? Why in the hell!’
Underlord sighed and plopped down on the pavement—he leaned against a wall. From his pocket, he grabbed a cigarette and lit it up. After taking several puffs, he looked toward Xunter and said.
”As I said, the Guards are coming. There was that one Guard who managed to slip out, but I took care of him. We have around two minutes before we get surrounded.”
”Right, right.” Xunter turned towards Isaac with a wretched smile, ”Then, it’s time for me to take dear Wraith’s legacy.”
Underlord nodded and crossed his legs, ”Do it quick; we still have to go over our plans.”
”Yes, sir!” Xunter stepped forth, and his footsteps caused a terrifying tempo.
Isaac gritted his teeth and tried to rip out of the chains, but it was like he was fighting against the darkness.
Xunter pulled out the handgun and held Isaac at gunpoint, the barrel touching the back of his head.
”Any last words?”
”Urgh…” Isaac clenched both fists and screamed, ”Fuck you!”
”Hmph.” Xunter pulled the trigger.
BANG!
Isaac’s head exploded, drenching the streets with blood. The pieces of skulls flew everywhere.
”Hehe.” Xunter opened the interface and waited for his notification to appear. However, not a single message appeared. There should be one about his new legacy.
Underlord frowned and looked at Isaac with scrutinizing gaze. Then, his dark eyes slightly widened as he saw Isaac’s fingertips twitching.
”He is still alive.”
”How?!” Xunter scratched his head in shock, ”No wonder he was called Immortal Wraith.”
The destroyed head slowly regenerated.
After the eyes appeared, Isaac blinked several times and noticed that his vision had returned. The dark spell that took away his vision got dispelled after his eyes got destroyed.
Xunter lifted the gun again and was about to pull the trigger. However, at that moment, Isaac’s eyes shone in brilliant crimson, and he unleashed Pulverizer with his eyes!
The crimson beam cut through the shadowy chains and freed him.
”Shit!” Xunter pulled the trigger immediately.
Bang!
Isaac didn’t dodge and allowed the bullet to hit him. It went straight through his forehead, leaving a bloody hole behind. However, he was still breathing.
[White Death Activated!]
‘What the hell are you?’ The silver pistol asked with astonishment.
”I am White Death!” Isaac aimed the silver pistol behind him and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The bullet drilled through Xunter’s shoulder and sent him flying away.
Underlord threw the cigarette away and stood up in a hurry. His eyes slightly shook.
Isaac slowly turned around, revealing his immensely cold eyes.
The grip on his silver pistol tightened. However, he slowly turned his head away and walked away.
Underlord and the members of One Heaven stood silently, no one daring to go after him.
”Argh!” Xunter slowly rose to his feet after getting flung several hundred meters away.
His eyes showed clear disbelief.
He slowly made his way over to Underlord, humiliation apparent on his face.
”S-Sir…”
”Silence.” Underlord hid his trembling hands and felt utterly embarrassed that he felt fear.
Xunter and the members of One Heaven lowered their heads. This was the first time they truly felt weaker than their opponent.
‘…’ Underlord silently bit his lip and started walking away.
No one opened their mouths.
Underlord heard rapid footsteps coming from the streets. He hid in the shadows and watched as the Guards ran past him.
After they were gone, he left the shadows and soon returned to his humble abode.
It was a one-story building with a dimly lit interior. There was a yellow crystal that barely lit the whole apartment.
He plopped down on the wooden chair with trembling eyes, ”What was that…”
”Maybe he knows… I need to know what that was!” He took out a dark book with only three letters visible.
[-RE-U-]
He opened the fiftieth page and clasped his hands.
”Lord Erebus, may I receive an answer to my question.”
The dimly lit crystal darkened, and the whole building got shrouded in dark shadow.
Underlord slightly shuddered but continued to keep his eyes tightly shut.
‘A death… It was a death…’
”Death?” Underlord repeated the word.
‘A death, powerful one.’
”Is it impossible for me to beat that?”
‘No… It is possible with power that exceeds the so-called boundaries of reality.’
”How… can I receive such power?”
‘You need to… come to my realm… for one final test…’
”Am I ready?” Underlord gulped in expectations.
‘No…’
Underlord’s hopes got crushed in a matter of seconds.
‘However… no one will ever be ready… it’s your choice… if you think you are ready…’
Underlord slowly opened his eyes and saw an enormous head gazing down at him from the depths of the shadows. It felt like there was a primordial being hiding in the shadows.
”I-… I am ready!” Underlord stretched his hand towards the shadows. A dark pearl appeared on top of his palm—it was cold and glossy.
‘Very well… if you pass my test… you shall receive my legacy…’
”Is it stronger than his? Is it above Mythical?” Underlord asked.
‘Haha…’ The creepy voice suddenly laughed. It wasn’t heartful laughter, instead cold.
‘Godly… Mythical…’
‘They are treated as the Peak, however… there are ten legacies above them…’
‘They are called… Divine Legacies… and mine is one of them… Erebus, Darkness…’
”Divine Legacy…” Underlord muttered with desire. Then, the dark pearl shattered, and a dark cloak blanketed him, engulfing him wholly. He disappeared and traveled to countless Realms before appearing in the realm that was the pinnacle of darkness.
