Chapter 533 Son of Primordial
Chapter 533 Son of Primordial
”Son… of Primordial?” Arthur’s body trembled, and something inside his body woke. With trembling of his fingers, his palms started sweating while the hair strands on the back of his head stood up.
The endless flows of power ran through his veins, pumping strength into his heart.
Ba-dump, ba-dump!
The heart thumped against his chest.
Arthur covered his ears but still heard the heartbeat echoing in his ears.
“What do you want?” Jack Frost asked while turning to look at the four men. They were nearly done breaking the ice., but after one wave of the ice cane, the ice returned and engulfed their legs.
“Damn it!” Xerxus screamed with frustration.
Amour’s expression didn’t change as he raised the axe and hacked it down at his feet.
“Gungnir.” Kalzer closed his eyes, and suddenly, Odin’s spear flew out of his grasp. With the stone-gray blade as the attack’s edge, it flew straight toward Jack Frost.
“Wait!” Arthur shouted, but it was too late. The Gungnir flew past him and shredded the air.
Jack Frost raised the cane and whirled it around. The air suddenly froze and cocooned the Gungnir in ice.
“Tsk!” Kalzer extended his hand, stretching towards the frozen Gungnir. However, his arm suddenly froze!
“?!”
“Enough, Kalzer!” Arthur’s voice caused silence to occur in the throne room. The four men stopped moving and frowned while looking at the icy-haired boy.
“Hehehehe.” Jack Frost giggled and rested the cane against his shoulder. With a few whistles, a puff of cold air left his lungs and froze the window.
“Jack Frost, have you heard about White Online?”
“White Online… That doesn’t ring the bell.” Jack Frost shrugged his shoulders and didn’t seem to know anything about it.
‘Thought so.’ Arthur thought, ‘But, what is this Son of Primordial he talked about?’
“How long have you been in these mountains?”
“Uhh…” Jack Frost pulled out his tongue and counted with his fingers. After opening both hands and showing ten fingers, he froze.
“I am not sure…” He answered and clenched both hands, “I left the civilization after the humans made sure that they didn’t want me.”
‘He must have been here two hundred years…’ Arthur thought, and from the fairy tales, he knew that Jack Frost had disappeared after sinking into a frozen lake.
The children that played with him were saddened and tried to look for him. But, then they joined their family’s Christmas, and shortly afterward, they forgot Jack Frost like he was nothing but a fleeting dream.
The fairy tale didn’t have a happy ending, but it did give a valuable life lesson. They should cherish their time as a child because once they are older, they would forget all innocence that made them children.
“Jack Frost. Would you like to come with us for a journey?” Arthur extended his hand, offering his hand.
Jack Frost’s eyes turned ice-cold, “No, stop your treacherous plots!”
“I am not trying to trick you. The humanity and I would really need your help!”
Jack Frost snorted and looked away, “I don’t want to help humanity. They betrayed and hurt me… time has gone by, but the pain never does.”
“Please, re-consider.” Arthur saw the pain in his eyes.
“No…” Jack Frost’s tone turned colder, “Also, I can’t allow the humans to leave this place. They would only come back with an army and force me to serve you!”
“No! The world has changed!” Arthur paled and could hear the sound of magazines clicking and weapons swooshing. The four men drew their weapons and prepared for the battle.
However, Arthur had hope that he could still change the situation.
“You may go, Arthur.” Jack Frost said, but then pointed at the four men, “But they can’t.”
“Why me?” Arthur frowned.
“You are Half-Primordial and Half-Human. Even though that other half is impure and dirty, you are still trustworthy. Please, leave.” Jack Frost swung the cane, and the throne room’s doors opened with a slam.
‘What is he talking about?’ Arthur frowned but then shook his head, “Please, these four are my friends. Let us go, and we won’t bother you again.”
“I can’t trust these humans.” Jack Frost said and pointed the cane at Arthur, “This will sting a bit.”
“?!” Arthur widened his eyes and opened his mouth. But then, his entire body froze, becoming an ice sculpture. However, his heart still continued beating and pumped warmth into the rest of his body.
“Arthur!” Xerxus cried out and gritted his teeth.
Jack Frost jumped off the window and landed on the floor. Everywhere he stepped, a layer of ice emerged.
“You may die a peaceful death.” Jack Frost raised his cane that shone in chilly blue, “That’s already more than humans deserve.”
“Pulverizer!” Isaac’s eyes shone in deadly crimson, and the laser beam flew out of his round pupils.
The laser beam melted the ice that kept the men stuck with its warmth.
“Tch!” Jack Frost smashed the ice cane at the crimson beam.
Crackle!
Slowly, the crimson beam turned into ice. The scorching flames inside the beam vanished, and the ice nullified the whole attack. In the middle of the throne room, a frozen beam floated five meters above the ground.
“?!” Isaac had never seen something as ludicrous. The palms that held the Silvercloud started sweating, but its scream echoed in his mind and woke him from his stupor.
‘Stop sweating on me! Fuck!’
Isaac lifted the gun and aimed at Jack Frost. The finger touched the trigger.
“Gungnir!” Kalzer screamed, and the flying spear broke free from the ice and returned to his hand.
“Take this!” Xerxus kicked the ground and dashed forwards. His whole figure looked like blue lightning as it moved across the room and swirled around the icy-haired boy.
Jack Frost looked around him while the lightning ran around him. His vision started turning foggier, and the ice started seeping out of his cane.
“Begone!” He smashed the cane on the frozen ground, and the ground shook.
From the shaking ground, hundreds of ice spikes emerged and impaled the air.
“Holy shit!” Xerxus avoided the ice spikes with a narrow margin. Then, he again kicked the ground and appeared next to Jack Frost with his fist flying towards the icy-haired boy’s cheek.
“?!” Jack Frost turned to the right, and Xerxus’ punch landed squarely on his face.
The world seemed to turn silent as suddenly the temperature decreased rapidly.
SWOOSH!
