Chapter 669 Last Skill.
669 Last Skill.
The desolate land, previously filled with beautiful snow valleys, forests, and mountain peaks, was now leveled to the ground with one half bathed in flames and another frozen in ice.
“Hellfire!”
“Wraith’s Spell, Icefire!”
The demon and human attacked with their own spells. As the flames and fire made of ice collided, the atmosphere started changing rapidly.
The usual Winterland climate was snow, cold, and ice. The battle had changed the climate so rapidly that the snow was melting, with rainclouds blanketing the sky.
Then, the opposite thing was seen in Summerland. Isaac’s ice attacks influenced a larger area. While the temperature increased rapidly in Winterland, making the weather quite hot, Summerland was completely the opposite.
Snowflakes started dropping down from the sky, coloring the ground in white. The citizens were dressed in very light clothing with skin exposed, so the sudden change in weather took everyone off-guard.
There were still cities bathed in flames after the sudden demon attack, but the demons had disappeared and everyone was still mending their wounds while hiding in their homes.
The military took control of the situation and started helping everyone they could. Once the snow started falling, they had to order winter clothes from Winterland in a hurry. Summerland had never had winter or cold, so there wasn’t even any winter clothing there!
The strange scene also attracted the Primordial Gods’ attention, and they were even more curious about who the person was. They knew one wielded fire attacks and the other ice. However, there weren’t any fire or ice users among them.
Lucifer and the rest of the Demon Kings had seen the strange phenomenon, and they knew Satan was fighting someone strong. They never expected there to be someone that strong, hiding among humans.
Lucifer’s frown grew as he realized that this was why he felt a sinking feeling in the bottom of his stomach. The danger was far more severe than they anticipated, at first.
He checked the communication device and tried to contact Satan. He wanted him to return as soon as possible since it was still unknown how strong that person was. Lucifer didn’t want to gamble on Satan’s victory.
However, the communication device never reached Satan, it was as if his device was broken.
Lucifer gritted his teeth and pondered whether he should send someone else to fetch Satan. However, he quickly shot down that idea. Only Demon Kings could go there and be of any assistance, but Primordial Gods must be aware of Demon Kings’ presence already and have increased their alertness.
Not even he could reach Satan before getting spotted by Primordial Gods. It was still too early to fight them.
…
Crack…
Isaac held Satan by the head while smashing it against the frozen ground. Each slam cracked the ice and earth, making it sound like the demonic head was shattering.
“Ugh!” Satan swung his arms around and shoved Isaac away. He then leaped off the ground and whipped his leg across Isaac’s face. After landing on the ground, he backhanded him and punched him with a hellfire-coated fist.
Isaac flew across the air, but before landing on the ground, he backflipped and landed on the ground with both feet. He then launched himself forward and punched repeatedly with the intention of hurting Satan as much as possible.
But, Satan effortlessly evaded the punches and managed to land one of his fists on Isaac’s cheek.
Crack… the ground cracked and air exploded following the punch.
‘This is not good.’ Isaac thought while staggering backward with a swollen cheek. He realized Satan was adapting to his fighting style and was surpassing him with blinding speed. It was obvious that Satan lacked experience in fighting strong opponents but had immense fighting talent.
‘I have been only using ice type attacks to determine his strength, and it seems that even as max level, I can’t beat someone of his caliber. However, that is only if I use ice attacks.’
Isaac quickly retreated further away from Satan after he unleashed another hellfire attack, which destroyed the frozen ground.
‘Its time to make my new skill. The message said that I could choose my three new skills or combine them into one. I don’t even know what those three skills are or the options since they were never shown. So it’s chosen blindly I guess.
‘I need a powerful skill that can defeat everyone I fight against. Level 1000 skill must be incredibly powerful, for sure, but is that enough? I don’t want to waste this chance. I already have Wraith’s Spell, which allows me to create any spell with just my imagination holding me back.
‘Thus, Wraith’s Spell allows me to become as strong as I want to be. But, it also has its limits, and my human imagination can’t surpass the gods. So, I still need something special, a powerful skill that can defeat everyone!’
Isaac rolled up his messages and glanced at the three skills or combine them into one skill choice. He didn’t have to wait even for a moment since he had already decided which he would choose. He chose the combination.
After pressing the second choice, the interface beeped before thousands of skills appeared before his eyes. They were all choices that he could have made during his journey to level 1000.
Instantly, after the 10th level and the first skill, the choice decided his rest of his life. Since he never chose his first skill initially, and waited till meeting with Hecate, his life had already entered strange path which couldn’t be predicted.
His first skill, Illusionary Shot, was the start of his strange, unpredictable life.
It didn’t matter that his legacy and class changed. His life had always been part of the Marksman class, and it was tied to his soul.
The interface showed his strange path. There were thousands of skills, each linked with different string. However, Isaac’s path steered away from the initial path and wandered into distance with hidden future.
The path led all the way to this moment.
Beep! Beep!
