Chapter 691 Isaac And Ceto.
A fleet of ships cut through waves after waves of water, carrying the strong Stronglord army.
The water splashed against the hull of the ship while the soldiers were cleaning their weapons, training, and chatting. They had left Springland hours ago, and it would take around one day to reach cold Winterland.
Isaac leaned against the railing while a gentle breeze brushed past him. He watched as fishes swam past the ship’s hull, almost as if they were running from someone.
The water had been more turbulent than ever before. There were even instances when ships could have capsized. But Lock managed to push the ship through the enormous waves and keep destroying them before anyone else got hurt.
Isaac understood that there was a fight somewhere. Well, not near, but in this part of the ocean, where there might have been an earth-shattering fight that made the ocean restless.
‘Primordial God and Demon King must have fought here.’ He thought, but didn’t look worried since he felt like the battle had already ended.
He wondered how crazy it would have been half a day ago if they were here with ships. At that moment, he definitely should have helped keep the ships safe, since back then the waves could be the size of a skyscraper.
“The aquatic life seem to be restless.” Lock’s voice echoed beside him as the golden-armored man put his hands on the railing.
“Indeed.” Isaac even saw sharks, whales, and dolphins swimming away in a hurry. “How is the ocean? Is it to your liking.”
“It’s… not what I imagined.” Lock said with a wry smile. As he finished speaking, another large wave splashed against the ship’s hull, pushing it slightly to the side. Lock’s knees buckled, and he had to take a harder grip on the railing to keep on standing.
The soldiers were also in danger of falling, and then water splashed over the railing and drenched the deck–the deck became much slipperier.
In contrast, Isaac stood with his hands tugged into his pocket, like a valiant hero facing a dragon. The wind blew around him, fluttering his beautiful white hair around, and the water droplets flew around him, but not even one landed on his clothes.
Lock once again had to admit that Isaac wasn’t an ordinary human. His strange appearance made him feel like there was something mystifying about him.
Isaac’s body then slightly tensed as he felt someone approaching them with blinding speed.
The water started raging and the waves suddenly turned massive with size of three-story building. They cocooned around the ships, trapping them inside.
The soldiers were frightened and wondered what the hell was with the ocean. They expected the beautiful oceans to be calm and relaxing places, but this was a proper nightmare!
Lock was also looking very serious.
“Who are you… and why are you here?” a voice rang inside the water cocoons. Outside the water domes, an ordinary-looking woman was hovering above the surface. She was quite tall with a very long, flowing blue dress with one white-colored strap going over her exposed shoulder.
She was the Primordial Goddess of the Sea, Ceto.
She was keeping an eye on the oceans to keep demons under control, but then she felt multiple life signals and came to check them out. In her surprise, they looked like humans, but she knew that some demons have the ability to change their forms.
“What is this voice?” Lock looked around and thought he was hearing things.
“Let us pass.” A voice rang inside the water cocoon. Isaac crossed his arms and let out a small portion of his aura to give a hint of his real power.
Ceto’s senses tingled with extreme danger, and it was even above Leviathan’s danger!
‘Demon King?! Here?!’ Ceto looked severe. ‘Higher-ranked than Leviathan? Wait, no… this aura, doesn’t have the same color as crimson or black; instead, it’s white.’
‘He is human?! Impossible… this must be demon trick… no, I can’t be sure. I have to make sure!’
‘This chapter is updated by N(o)V(e)lB(i)n.’,
Ceto’s dress flapped behind her as she entered the water cocoon and gently landed on the deck.
The nearby soldiers drew their weapons and looked warily at the strange woman.
Ceto flicked her wrist, then a pair of water whips lashed through the air and slapped the weapons away. The soldiers looked shocked as they were suddenly unarmed. However, they immediately drew their daggers, but they didn’t look dangerous at all anymore.
Lock debated whether he should try his luck, but he knew the limit of his strength and the unknown woman’s power. At best, he could force her off the ship but not win.
Ceto ignored them all and walked over to the white-haired man while only seeing his back. Isaac was still leaning against the railing, not bothering to turn around.
“Who are you?” Ceto asked while keeping his senses at full alert. “Demon?”
“I am no demon.” Isaac said with a chuckle. “I am human.”
“Impossible!” Ceto grimaced. “You think I believe that? Your power is at its peak!”
“I think I can be called god.” Isaac shrugged his shoulders. “But, I still think I am human. Just because I am slightly stronger than my peers, I can’t be one? That’s quite radical thinking.”
‘Slightly stronger?’ Ceto’s eyebrow twitched in annoyance. ‘Even if all of humanity’s strength were combined, they wouldn’t be able to even scratch you!’
“Can you remove these cocoons? We are on a tight schedule.”
“I can’t do that. You appeared out of nowhere and can be a danger to humanity. If you don’t prove your identity as a human, I will have to fight you even if that means I will die.”
“I can respect that.” Isaac turned around and revealed his immensely handsome face to Ceto. “I am an Advocate of Life, Gaia’s legacy carrier.”
To prove it, Isaac raised his hand and shot a green beam from his palm. The green beam tore through the water cocoon, destroying it in pieces. The water fell down to the deck, drenching every soldier.
Ceto’s eyes rippled in shock and… thrill. They had ally of this caliber and they weren’t even aware of it?!
She always thought Fenrir was their greatest asset and their best chance in victory, but now another person of equal level to Primordial Gods… no, maybe even stronger than Primordial Gods had appeared and he is on their side!
