Chapter 2066: Let's Go For A Stroll
Chapter 2066: Let’s Go For A Stroll
Grey stood in the sky, staring down at the destruction below him. This was the second group he had killed within the past day after getting all the information he needed from the first group of mercenaries. He had initially thought that all the groups sent out would be mercenaries, but to his surprise, the last two groups he encountered were all Gnomes.
He did not want to waste time like the first time, so after getting Void to seal the area, he searched for the strongest Gnomes, killing them off instantly before anyone else could react. In both groups, only one of them had an Eighth stage Sovereign, and even that Gnome could barely do anything against an all-out attack of someone whose attack could rival a Peak Sovereign, especially when the Gnome did not even sense it in the first place.
According to the mercenaries, there were a total of eight groups surrounding the scouts, and adding this one he just wiped out, that leaves only five groups. He did not know the general idea of the strength of the rest groups, nor did he see any reason to question these Gnomes. He felt it would be best to locate the individual who sent the mercenaries out to collect resources. His only fear was said person not showing up, but that was only if they found out the mercenaries were dead.
As long as there was no way to relay that information to them, then the chances of the person showing up was quite high since it was something they had been doing for a while now.
After waiting for a while, Void and the bunny leader appeared beside him, “Got everything?”
The duo nodded before passing him a large haul of space rings. He kept them all and continued forward. These groups have all been gathering resources as well, so he made sure to take them all since these resources belonged to humans in the first place, and he wanted to pass them to his father to distribute. Given his current strength, there were few things that could interest him, so he did not even bother to check the contents of the space rings and rushed to the next location.
In a few hours, he arrived at the next location, only to frown at the sight before him. The place was empty.
“Did they find out we have been killing the others?” Grey mumbled as he tried to sense the presence of anyone.
The bunny leader appeared and shook his head, “No, we’ve always sealed the places. Unless a Half God Plane expert is present there to send out messages, it’s impossible for any form of spiritual sense messages to escape the region.”
After the first battle, the bunny leader joined Void in sealing the regions, making the seals tighter and almost impenetrable. One has to know that in respect to the space element, the bunny leader is far superior to Void. Grey had questioned him a few times how old he was, but he has never given him a definite answer.
Grey believed the bunny leader was definitely an old monster, what he did not understand was his cowardly nature. The bunny leader hated fighting, hence the reason he kept recruiting bunnies into his army to fight for him.
“Can you send out some of your best trackers to help us locate where they must’ve headed to?” Grey turned to the bunny leader.
The bunny leader nodded, bringing out almost a hundred tiny bunnies that could each fit perfectly into a palm. The bunnies moved out immediately they appeared.
Grey randomly flew to one of the buildings in this place and went inside. This town was more intact compared to the previous ones he had been passing through, only that it was way smaller.
They did not wait long before the bunny leader got a reply from one of his scouts.
“They are approximately about twenty kilometers from this place, and I don’t think it’s just one group.” The bunny leader relayed the information he got back to Grey.
“How many are they?” Grey inquired.
“There’s almost five hundred of them, Gnomes and humans included.” The bunny leader raised his small paw to indicate five.
“Looks like that’s the rest of the group. Each group we have encountered has roughly a hundred members with some being slightly lower than that.” Grey said thoughtfully before asking, “Are they fighting anyone?”
“No, that area is not within the region where the scouts are hiding, so I don’t think the scouts are their target there. There must be something more important than the scouts there.” The bunny leader explained.
“Is it possible to know what it is?”
“No, there’s a Ninth stage Sovereign Gnome there with a powerful sensory ability, if any of my bunnies go too close, he will definitely sense them. Even if most people generally don’t take my bunnies seriously, I don’t think it would be the case with this Gnome.”
“Oh, a Ninth stage Sovereign Gnome. Looks like we’ll have to go ourselves. Can you guys stop them from getting any information out?” Grey’s eyes went cold.
“Of course. As long as they do not attack the seal, we can stop them.” The bunny leader replied confidently, he suddenly looked at Grey with a little bit of skepticism and asked, “Do you really want to face all five hundred on your own?”
“I’m not alone, am I?” Grey smiled, staring at the bunny leader.
“Don’t let them kill too many of my bunnies, you know how hard it was to get them.” The bunny leader already knew what Grey had in mind.
“Relax, I’ll make sure they suffer a massive loss before you bring out the bunnies. Void is also here, if he doesn’t help out, we’ll kick him out.” Grey looked at the lazy sleeping Void who was resting by the side.
Void turned to Grey and snorted before stressing his feline body, “It’s been a while I stretched my body. I don’t mind killing a few people.”
“Good, let’s go for a stroll.”
