Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2051

Chapter 2051

The Eye of the Blood Abyss looked far too large to be a divine astralship. Tianming thought it was a stellunar source world, like the Divine Moon Realm. It really did look like an eyeball floating through the dark void of space from afar, as if it was eyeing its prey, the multi-colored sun near Primary, like a feral beast.

“Violetglory’s emptied out and the sun’s over there. No doubt, the Blood Abyss Wargod must be pumped beyond imagination. He would earn astounding merit all for himself if he succeeds.”

A ship like that was at least skypiercer class. It was much larger than the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, and Tianming could immediately tell how terrifying it was. “Looks like this is a nightmare that can’t be avoided.”

The speed of the ship was definitely faster than the sun. As long as it had sights on the sun, Tianming would have to get rid of it; thus, there was no point in escaping now. If his fight with Qiang’s group didn’t count, this would be his first encounter with a proper mysterian force.

“I wonder how many people are on that ship….” Long had mentioned that there weren’t that many people, as speed was their main priority.

“They’d either depart with billions of troops for a full invasion of Violetglory, or only a few top elites to arrive as quickly as possible.” Since the former would considerably slow them down, Tianming believed that the latter was more likely. The main troops could always be sent in the hundreds of other divine astralships they had, after all.

“All in all, they would never have expected the sun to be near Violetglory before they set out. The Eye of the Blood Abyss has come as a vanguard to secure the situation.” Even so, there was no way for Tianming to properly contemplate how powerful a ninth-level sovereign was. He lacked experience fighting someone of that caliber. The strongest foe he had fought was the sun emperor and his Flameyellow Coffin.

Back then, he’d only had tens of billions of Omnisentient Threads. He only obtained a full three hundred billion after defeating the sun emperor. Given that the initial ten billion were among the strongest of his subjects, the quality of energy coming from them was the highest. Right after them were those below the level of ascendants, numbering around a hundred billion. But in the present day, the number of his Omnisentient Threads was creeping close to nine hundred billion!

While Tianming had been planning to move the sun away, he was already too late. “If we can’t outrun them, we’ll just have to fight them! Godfather, activate the Flameyellow Guard Formation to its maximum output!”

The formation’s power mainly depended on the amount of energy the star had. With the sun being six times its former size, the flaming beasts of the formation were six times as powerful as their original forms. Not to mention, the sun was defended by the likes of Sovereigns Brightscorch and Starfeather, the primalwinger overlord, and Wudi. Tianming immediately reached out to them through Yin Chen.

“Currently, neither the primalwingers nor the Violetglorians know about the pursuit of the mysterians. In fact, most denizens of the sun are unaware of that. The one heading toward us now is the Blood Abyss Wargod of Skyway Tristar. He’s an incredibly powerful ninth-level sovereign. There is a chance that I’ll be able to hold him back, or even kill him, so you should try to spread this to the masses.” It wasn’t good news, so Tianming could only count on his ability to hold the enemy back to strengthen the faith of his subjects.

“The Blood Abyss Wargod!” Sovereigns Brightscorch and Starfeather went completely pale.

“Do you know him?” Tianming asked.

“Of course! He’s the mysterian slaughterer whose main role is to expand the sphere of influence of the Mysterium Cluster! Trillions of lives have been ended by him, directly and indirectly. In fact, he also owns eighteen skypiercer-class worlds as his personal territory in the Mysterium Cluster! It’s also said that he controls an incredibly secretive organization of terrifying power,” Sovereign Brightscorch said.

“Oh, the Voidsky Organization, right?” That was quite the coincidence. If the Blood Abyss Wargod was the leader of the Voidsky Organization, then he was none other than the leader of the executioners of the mysterians, who boasted of countless harrowing deeds in his name. If even someone like Sovereign Brightscorch knew about him, his reputation within the Mysterium Cluster was no doubt widespread. Tianming felt quite a lot of pressure facing such a person; with Feiling still inside the Kunlan Realm, he couldn’t run very far away.

“Tianming, are you really confident you can deal with a heartless devil like that?” Sovereign Starfeather asked, his voice trembling. He was merely a first-level sovereign. A ninth-level sovereign could easily take on ten thousand people like him. If the Mysterium Cluster was an empire, the Blood Abyss Wargod would be the marshal of its armies, while Sovereign Starfeather was nothing more than an officer of a unit stationed in a village.

“Don’t panic. Did you forget? The sun is my territory, and no matter who comes, I’ll still have the home field advantage.” Tianming still felt absolutely confident, but it wasn’t out of ignorance. Instead, it was because he was backed by the faith of more than eight hundred billion subjects.

“Good! If you really lead us to defeat the Blood Abyss Wargod, Violetglory will make you our patron deity! No matter what the Violetcloud Imperium decides on, the Divineglory Dynasty will wholeheartedly accept being part of the Tianming Dynasty!” Sovereign Brightscorch suddenly announced.

“What? Are you really sure?” Sovereign Starfeather gave his old rival a dumbfounded look.

“My friend, that’s the Blood Abyss Wargod, a top figure in the Mysterium Cluster! He isn’t just some random nobody! Even rulers of skypiercer-class worlds have to kneel before him. If a child under thirty manages to defeat him, doesn’t that prove that the universe has a very special destiny prepared for him? What use is there for my dynasty if we don’t have someone like him at our helm? Don’t tell me you’ll still stubbornly hold onto your imperium even after that?”

“Nonsense! Don’t be so impatient as to push us aside. I’ll have you know that I was the one who coached Tianming in soul cultivation,” Mu Ziyan said.

“Haha, friends, trust my son. You’ll stand to gain nothing but benefits by being on his side,” Wudi said.

Their little chat greatly lightened the load on their shoulders and brought back some courage to face the enemy. An optimistic hope that they hadn’t experienced for quite a while began blooming in their hearts once more.

The two sovereigns understood that, once they moved the sun, Violetglory as an entity would be gone for good. Tianming definitely intended to unite the sun under one banner, but the denizens of the two Violetglorian powers weren’t ready for that just yet. Most of them still weren’t under the Tianming Dynasty’s jurisdiction. But the threat of the Blood Abyss Wargod was the chance they needed to integrate the Violetglorians and primalwingers into the sun alongside the celestial orderians and Myriad Solar Sects! If they succeeded, they would remain united henceforth. If they failed, they would end up shattered and battered. Tianming quickly came to understand what it all meant.

I didn’t know what I needed to do to gain the faith of all the Violetglorians back then, but this is my chance. The thought gave him even more motivation. There’s no turning back! It’s either do or die!
