Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2052

Chapter 2052

Tianming anxiously piloted his ship to intercept the Eye of the Blood Abyss. After the enemy ship had locked on to the sun, it had turned into a bloody mirage that flew straight toward it. This would be the first and most important battle for him since taking in those from Violetglory.

“There’s more than eight hundred billion Omnisentient Threads! What’ll that allow me to do?” Standing in the ship, he could almost see the countless threads behind him that stretched toward the sun and connected to his albi. He almost couldn’t feel the existence of his body anymore; it felt like he was the star itself, unfeeling and bursting with wild energy that the denizens of the sun and primalwingers had unconditionally given him through their faith.

“We’re there!” There was still quite some distance from Violetglory and Primary, but the Eye of the Blood Abyss could definitely spot him approaching now. Right after concluding the conversation with Sovereign Starfeather, the Eye of the Blood Abyss locked on to the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, knowing that Tianming was no doubt in there.

“I suppose they’ll be nothing if not excited, right?” Tianming couldn’t help but smirk. The gigantic eyeball-shaped ship descended before the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and countless trails of bloody malice from it wrapped around the smaller ship. Now that they were closer, Tianming noticed that it was more than thirty times the size of the Kilostar Capital, and far larger than his own ship. The malice that the ship bore had been built up over ages of nonstop slaughter.

A dense concentration of baleful souls surrounded it. While it wasn’t as bad as what had followed after the destruction of the Skywolf stars, the fact that the baleful souls remained on the surface of the ship all this time meant they were incredibly powerful while they still lived. Every single one of them looked like a little red hair that stretched out from the eye, making the astralship look rather fuzzy up close. It was even more horrifying on closer inspection.

“Who goes there? Identify yourself.” Tianming stood atop his ship, fearless and steady like a bulwark. The rays of the multicolored sun behind him illuminated his back, almost giving him a halo that raised his apparent divinity.

Not long after, someone came out of the Eye of the Blood Abyss, looking like a mere speck of dust on the gigantic ship. There were around a dozen people there, all of them sovereigns in their own right, and each one likely more powerful than Qiang.

“There’s quite a few among their number. The most famous among them are the Fiendshade Quadruplets. They’re said to be real quadruplets with incredibly odd abilities, and all of them are seventh-level sovereigns,” Sovereign Starfeather introduced.

They didn’t sound like the friendly sort, and Tianming could immediately tell who they were among the group. The strongest five stood in front of the rest, the frontmost one a faceless specter of the Crimsonjade line. He sported a featureless face and a burly figure, giving him quite an impactful silhouette. Despite his lack of facial features, there was a huge red eye around thirty centimeters in diameter near his chest. It looked like a miniature version of his ship and seemed insidious beyond imagination. A single look at it sent chills down Tianming’s spine.

Behind him were four identical-looking faceless specters, clearly the Fiendshade Quadruplets. Faceless specters largely looked identical in the first place, but the quadruplets looked like they had been cast from the same mold. They seemed somewhat smaller in stature, compared to normal faceless specters, all of them only a meter in height with stubby limbs. Tianming would have thought they were children if it weren’t for Sovereign Starfeather’s briefing.

There were ten other sovereigns apart from those five, all of them powerful as well. At the very least, they were stronger than Sovereign Starfeather. Normally, a young genius of around thirty years of age would be nothing more than an ant before a gathering of elite mysterians like this, yet their terrifying aura didn’t manage to overwhelm Tianming at all. He had the full impetus of the sun and the support of eight hundred billion people. Eight hundred billion ants were nothing to scoff at, and even a gigantic elephant would lose its smug smile at the sight of that.

“Interesting,” said the leftmost of the quadruplets.

“Indeed,” the others chorused.

“Admiral, where do we start to bite down on this delicious piece of meat? Should we handle this minor obstacle for you?” They all turned to look at the Blood Abyss Wargod.

“Since he’s capable, he’s definitely going to fight for his survival. His divine astralship looks rather decent, too. We’ll do it the old-school way. Attack with the ship first to break his shell before taking his life. As for the rest of you, we’ll do it the usual way as well,” said the Blood Abyss Wargod. Normally, Tianming would never leave his ship to fight.

“How careful of you, Admiral.”

“This is an important task that we have to give our all to complete. Anyone that monstrous can’t be easy to handle,” the man said in a stable voice, despite his savage looks.

“Understood!”

The leftmost of the quadruplets said, “Then I’ll take the ‘heart’ away from the battlefield to observe. We’ll hide it and be ready to leave at any time.”

“I’ll make the report in the wondersky realm!”

“The rest of us will take care of breaching the astralguard formation of that star to prepare for our invasion.”

They quickly divided the tasks among themselves.

“That’s right. No matter what, make sure to bury the eggs of the voidheart worm inside. How many did we bring?” the Blood Abyss Wargod asked.

“Eighteen, an auspicious number.”

“Very well!”

The mysterians mainly used the voidheart worms for their interspecies communication abilities, not for combat. That was how Skywolf had managed to locate the sun, after all. The reason that voidheart worms and many other cosmic wildbeasts could sense their own kind was the result of the evolutionary need to find mates in the vast astralscape. That was also how the female voidheart worm in the sun had managed to link up with the male voidheart worm of Skywolf Frost.

“Very well. Let’s act separately. Leave the potential sixth-level sovereign monster to me,” the Blood Abyss Wargod ordered.

The Eye of the Blood Abyss broke apart, forming four oddly shaped divine astralships that flew off.
