Chapter 2306 – Hot Topic

Mu Sheng was one step too late. The octavein fiend was completely torn apart by Yin Chen, Xian Xian, and the Prime Cosmic Rings, exploding into a bloody mist. Large chunks of flesh were sucked away by Xian Xian’s roots; it didn’t waste even a single trace. This was the second warbeast that Tianming had taken out; the first was the myriadeye ghostdragon.

“Nooo!” Mu Sheng had lost his main combat might, only for his other warbeasts to be gobbled up by Xian Xian. It was only then that he came to realize the true threat posed by Tianming. It wasn’t his main body or his divine wonder, but his horrifying lifebound beasts.

The entire Infinitum Mundus was shocked when the octavein fiend perished, especially those in the Infinitum Swordsea. Lin Jianxing had just switched teams to join the ebons, much to the shock of many in the clan. They felt it was a shame that Tianming would soon die, yet he had managed to hold his ground! His performance turned the smiles of the reformists into frowns.

Other clan members who had been staying silent about many things were spurred to vent, causing quite a bit of commotion across the Infinitum Swordsea. Even though Tianming and Lin Jianxing were both disciples of the clan, they had made polarizing decisions with regards to the ebons. One had chosen to obediently lick their boots, while the other just went ahead and killed them! It was a contrast that rendered people speechless.

“What in the world is he doing?!”

“The ebons will definitely be angered if this goes on.”

“Even though fights between the youths don’t usually mean much, this is a high-profile fight! Many people are paying attention to it, and people’s imaginations will surely run wild at the sight of that!”

“Is Lin Feng intentionally trying to sabotage the clan’s plans? How will the ebons see us now?”

“Shut up! The ebons aren’t your dad! Doesn’t Lin Feng have the right to fight to ensure his own survival?!”

“That won’t change the fact that his father’s an eternal sinner of the clan.”

“Are you seriously bringing that up again?”

All the internal conflicts of the clan were brought to the forefront, with many people calling for Infinitum Duels. Everyone was doing their part in search of an answer to the clan’s future, just like Tianming from inside the nest!

……

“Lin Feng, how dare you kill my baby?! I’ll never forgive you, ever! As long as you don’t die, we ebons won’t even take your clan as our dogs!” Mu Sheng roared.

“Hey, aren’t you being a bit too obvious? Weren’t you calling it an alliance? Putting it the way you did will make many people in my clan unhappy, you know,” Tianming said.

Because of the words the ebon had uttered in rage, the ones back in the clan who were worried that the ebons would be displeased felt like they’d been given a cold slap on their faces. Many of them didn’t want to accept the truth, as it was far too bleak.

Tianming couldn’t be bothered with what Mu Sheng had said. After losing so many warbeasts, both Mu Sheng and Cao Tama had been considerably weakened! Plus, he still had to help Yi Zhuojun.

Right after Yin Chen killed the octavein fiend, the billions of silver bugs swarmed toward the ninevoid fiendcat with fearsome force! The cat was tied up in a fight with Lan Huang, and both of them were injured to some degree. While the cat had initially held an advantage, Lan Huang’s order limited its options quite a bit. It then saw the octavein fiend die before its eyes, and when it saw Yin Chen swarming its way, it immediately broke free of Lan Huang and leapt away toward Miao Miaomiao with great speed.

“Good! Now, go save him!” With his lifebound beasts no longer engaged, Tianming could charge toward Yi Zhuojun and ignore the others.

It’s already rather amazing that he held on for so long. There was a good reason he was ranked a hundred and fiftieth. But right after Tianming thought that, he noticed that he had just jinxed Yi Zhuojun. He saw a large flash of lightning ahead of him.

“Run!” meow Meow yelled amidst the chaotic bolts. Tianming saw that it had someone in its mouth and was running at great speed. Ying Huo had turned into a little chick that hung on to its fur.

“Run! What’re you looking at?!” Ying Huo beckoned.

Tianming immediately reacted. He wasn’t sure whether Yi Zhuojun was still alive; he remembered seeing the broken Oldgod Ring, after all.

It hadn’t taken much time for Tianming to kill the myriadeye ghostddragon and octavein fiend, but Yi Zhuojun had been facing a lot of pressure against two powerful foes, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he’d failed to endure.

Tianming swept a glance at the person Meow Meow was pulling away with its mouth and saw that it was Yi Zhuojun. Though covered in cuts and blood, his head and chest were in good shape, so he was still alive. Astral gods could simply regenerate from most wounds, as long as their heptastar organs weren’t completely wiped out.

That was good news to Tianming. “He should be thanking me. If I’d taken my cousin away from the start, he’d definitely be dead! If he hadn’t insisted on recruiting Lin Jianxing, he wouldn’t have been in so much danger. It’s only thanks to Meow Meow that he’s alive!”

Meow Meow and Ying Huo must have asked him to run because he was no longer in fighting shape. Once Lin Jianxing and Qi Xuanzi turned their attention to him, he would be a goner. While the six walnuts weren’t far off, Tianming knew to prioritize their lives first.

“Come back!” he called out to Lan Huang and Xian Xian. The two giant beasts happened to be right by him and quickly returned to his lifebound space. On that aspect, regular beastmasters had it far more convenient than infinite beastmasters, who had to go through quite a bit of trouble to put their warbeasts back into fauna worldstones.

“Yin Chen, cover our backs!” It would serve as a shield, since it couldn’t really die.

“Alright, sheesh… how naggy,” Yin Chen grumbled as countless silver bugs gathered.

As Meow Meow reached Tianming, he grabbed its fur and climbed up on its back for a lightning-fast boost. Lin Jianxing shone with green sword light, while Qi Xuanzi rode on three low-sanctuary-class wildbeasts as they closed in. Then billions of Yin Chens piled upon one another to form a huge tidal wave that slammed toward the two of them, swallowing them whole. While it wouldn’t be able to stop them, Tianming wanted to buy some time, at the very least.

“What’re you blanking out for? Give chase!” Qi Xuanzi barked, snapping Miao Miaomiao and the other two out of it. From his tone of voice, he appeared to have been greatly toyed with by Meow Meow and Ying Huo.
