Chapter 2307 - Dog Walking
Chapter 2307 – Dog Walking
The swarm of bugs generated so much commotion that it entirely covered the green light around Tianming and the others.
“Cousin!” Tianming yelled at Dongshen Xiaoli in the distance, who knew what to do when she saw him retreat. She had been paying attention the entire time. She quickly pulled back her lifebound beasts and ran away from the ebons and their warbeasts.
“Begone!” Tianming opened a path with the cosmic impulses that blasted out of his sword.
“Cousin brother!” Dongshen Xiaoli sounded incredibly touched, almost like she was crying tears of joy. The next instant, Tianming rushed over and grabbed her hair, pulling her onto the Regal Chaosfiend’s back. “Ouch ouch ouch! Hey, take care of preserving my dignity, would you?!”
“Sorry, my bad.”
“Is Yi Zhuojun dead?”
“I’m not sure yet. Let’s focus on running for now.” Tianming looked back and saw that Lin Jianxing had burst out of the sea of Yin Chens, eyes filled with killing intent. He had wanted to kill Tianming for a long time. When his gaze met Tianming’s, he felt like he saw a raging, stormy sea filled with killing intent that looked like it was made entirely out of countless swords, all pointed at Tianming!
“If only I could fight him one on one, I’d be able to settle things with this asshole once and for all and test how far I’ve progressed instead of trying to run from him like this!” Even though he wanted to face Lin Jianxing in a duel, it wasn’t a luxury he could afford, given that Yi Zhuojun’s survival was still in question. There were three surviving ebons chasing them down as well. Given how Yi Zhuojun had had trouble against two foes, Tianming would stand no chance at all. He was also annoyed beyond belief from how persistent Lin Jianxing was in causing trouble for him.
“Isn’t that fellow going overboard? The two of you are from the same clan! It’s one thing if he doesn’t work with you as he should, but it’s clear now that he intentionally has it out for you, like you killed his father or something! What the hell?!” Dongshen Xiaoli snapped.
“Haha, at the end of the day, he’s just afraid of me. I started off as an insect he could kill at any time. But now he can’t even breach my defenses. He’s the one on the chopping block now.” Tianming knew that Lin Jianxing’s hostility was definitely due to the threat and insecurity he felt. It was impossible for him to not notice Tianming’s staggering improvement over such a short time. He was clearly aware of how weak Tianming had been during their first meeting; after all, there was no way Tianming would let him capture him and bring him to the Myriadsword Mausoleum if he could fight as well as he did now. He had accepted the truth of Tianming’s incredible progress, hence his desperation to kill him the moment he had a chance.
Qi Xuanzi and his other warbeasts were following tightly behind Lin Jianxing. They were spilling a lot of silver blood to pave a path for the ebons.
“Kill them!” Even Qi Xuanzi was shocked by Tianming’s amazing combat prowess. With Yi Zhuojun out cold, it was the perfect chance to go for the kill. With everyone giving off a green light to mark their location, there was nowhere to hide. Yet Tianming didn’t need to, as he was able to maintain a safe distance from his foes, thanks to Meow Meow’s speed. That was the main reason he dared to challenge powerful enemies.
“It isn’t our time yet. Keep running!” Tianming patiently stilled his own desire to fight back and chose to wait for his prey to slip up, like a hunter. While the room they were in wasn’t large, it was still enough for Tianming to keep running from Lin Jianxing. There was no way he could catch up now, and he already couldn’t keep up back in the Oldgod Domain. He wasn’t even able to use his order from that far.
“Isn’t this kitty a little too fast?” Dongshen Xiaoli’s hair and dress wildly fluttered from the high-speed winds. Even her lips flapped while she spoke.
Just as Tianming was about to answer her, he noticed a green light ahead of him. “Lin Linglin? Maybe she’d be useful.” He didn’t think that Lin Linglin would be on his escape path.
“Hey!” he called out loudly. The look of her face changed immediately and she ran off. However, Meow Meow caught up to her and suppressed her with its genesis order. Tianming’s Delayed Capture was so fast that it almost reached her in an instant.
“Huh?!” She despaired as she realized that, this time, she wasn’t Tianming’s match at all. The sword struck her abdomen, which was followed by another blade slap on her head that broke her Oldgod Ring. That would have eliminated her, had they still been in the Oldgod Domain. Tianming used his Godsin to tie her up and hang her atop the Regal Chaosfiend, making sure to pierce the tip of the sword-chain into her heart so he could extinguish her life at any moment.
“Mmmfff!” With her mouth covered up by the blade links of the chain, any attempt to speak would leave cuts on her mouth.
“Lin Feng! How dare you hurt Linglin?!” Lin Jianxing roared.
“You think this is a big deal? If you keep chasing, I’ll kill her,” Tianming coldheartedly said. As he did, he forced his Imperial Sword Prison into her body, causing her to squeal, which in turn caused the blades of his chain to cut deeper into her mouth to gruesome effect. The sight of a beauty like her having her mouth absolutely shredded was tough to take in.
“Waaaah! Brother Jianxing, save me!” she groaned, but not without taking the chance to cast a hateful glare at Tianming.
“Lin Feng, you deserve death! I’ll claim your life in the name of the Hall of Discipline!” Lin Jianxing raged, still looking for an excuse to justify killing him. He was all too glad that Tianming had put his hands on Lin Linglin.
“Who are you to represent the Hall of Discipline, eh?! Do you think you can even keep up?” Tianming held Lin Linglin up by the chin and snickered. “She looks rather decent, doesn’t she? I reckon the audience outside isn’t able to see what happens here. Guess I’ll just look for a dark corner to ‘deal with’ your little girlfriend here. I’m sure you wouldn’t mind sharing, right, my little cuck? With how persistent you’ve been in harassing me, I’m starting to think this was your intention the entire time. Relax, we don’t kink shame here. I’ll do you a favor since you want this so badly.”
“Nooo!” Lin Linglin shuddered and shrieked, “Brother Jianxing, save me! I don’t want to be…. No way!”
“Lin Feng, you shameless cur! You’ll be punished by the heavens!” Lin Jianxing was starting to feel the heat. Even though he was moving as quickly as he could, he couldn’t keep it up for long. And even with that, the cat was still much faster than him. Back then, he had still been barely able to keep up, but there was no chance of that now. The cat could just elude him forever if it wanted to by running in circles in this room.
“Keep chasing. I guess I’ll snack on her on this ride of mine, then. Let’s hope nobody outside is tuning in. This show is going to stop being family friendly, if you catch my drift.” Tianming utterly relished in the sight of Lin Jianxing helplessly getting mad. It was almost as fun as walking a dog.
