Chapter 2312 - Daemonlords of Light
Chapter 2312 – Daemonlords of Light
Lin Jianxing had fallen for a ruse again! It was a sign that Yi Zhuojun had recovered enough. When the black cat disappeared before his eyes, he felt like he had been splashed with yet another bucket of freezing-cold water.
“Lin Feng!” He lost his reason again as the green color filled his mind. “Die!” He started the chase again like a mad demon.
……
“They’re coming! Finally!” The five ebons had been waiting far too long for this moment. They wore expressions of agitation and impatience. The green light and lightning bolts were coming in their direction.
“Lin Jianxing did it after all!”
“Everyone, get ready to kill it in an instant!”
“Aim for the cat!”
Even Meow Meow was unaware of how much hate was festering in its foes. The lightning storm approached the location of the ambush, with Qi Xuanzi completely unaware that Lin Jianxing had been left far behind in the dust.
“I see the cat!”
The five of them excitedly eyed the bundle of green lights. They saw Tianming standing atop the cat’s head, but that wasn’t a big deal. They also saw two people standing beside him, one of them a woman in a light yellow dress, while the other was the white-haired, colorful-eyed, long-eared Yi Zhuojun! He held a black spear in his hand and his eyes were filled with killing intent. While he looked slightly pale, he still seemed ready for a fight. He was able to recover so quickly thanks to Meow Meow’s swift rescue sparing his heptastar organs from being heavily damaged.
His nine totems rose above him once more. They were all celestial-being types with long, heavenly robes that suited their divine descent. They were called daemonlords of light. Tianming didn’t think that even an Ebonian totemancer genius wouldn’t have ten totems. However, he still noticed that they were far more terrifying than the totems of the mysterian Shenwu Fen, who was also a nonabane. There was no way those two were on the same level.
He didn’t have time to admire the powers of Yi Zhuojun’s totems, either. “Lin Jianxing’s right behind us. We have to kill as many as we can before he arrives!”
Since the five ebons had split up from Lin Jianxing, Tianming discussed with Yi Zhuojun about how to deal with them. Eventually, they settled on taking out the ebons first. Lin Jianxing was a swordbeastmaster who was much stronger than an infinite beastmaster, even while fighting alone. Not even ganging up on him would guarantee an easy victory in a short time. They would only have one chance to execute such an attack. The ebons, on the other hand, were already heavily crippled, having lost most of their warbeasts. They wouldn’t even be on the level of Shuntian Bohan, not to mention they had five walnuts.
“Die!” The ebons didn’t think that they would be the ones who were attacked!
“What’s going on?” Qi Xuanzi exclaimed, shocked. The next instant, countless silver insects swarmed them and formed a cage that locked them in. Then Ying Huo, Lan Huang, and the dryad Xian Xian appeared beside Meow Meow and charged toward the ebons together. Tianming also had his prime wonder ready, instantly putting its rings over the heads of the ebons and showing them an agonizing time.
“Brother Yi, I’ll leave Qi Xuanzi and the superfiend to you. I’ll kill the other four astral god ebons in quick succession!” Tianming wanted to create a chance to face off against Lin Jianxing in a duel. While the four ebons had lost their warbeasts, they would still be able to threaten Lin Linglin and Dongshen Xiaoli, so they had to be wiped out before the duel could commence.
“Let me help,” Dongshen Xiaoli said. Her insect-type beasts once more locked on to her previous foe, Cao Nima, Cao Tama’s brother. She had killed Cao Nima’s amethyst lizard not long ago. Picking out a single foe from the group made it really easy for her. That left only three people for Tianming to face, including Miao Miaomiao. But this time, he had all his lifebound beasts with him.
“Die!” When Tianming burst out of the storm toward those three, they were completely blindsided.
“What the hell?” Cao Tama absentmindedly said.
“Run, quick!” Miao Miaomiao shrieked before turning to leave. It seemed that the ninevoid fiendcat’s escaping skills had been taught by her.
“Why’re you panicking?” Mu Sheng still seemed rather brave. While he didn’t think he could kill Meow Meow in one hit, taking on Tianming alone shouldn’t be a big issue. He immediately drew his cosmic artifact bow, but the Prime Cosmic Rings immediately shot toward him.
“What in the world?!” That was quickly followed by countless flames and sparks flashing before his eyes. A crimson phoenix appeared before him, its cinderous wings shooting out flaming feathers. Sharp, flaming swords came flying toward him!
Blocking Ying Huo and the Prime Cosmic Rings’ attack caused him to cough out blood, but the Grand-Orient Sword pierced his head the next instant. Even then, he still wasn’t dead and tried nocking an arrow to his bow, only for the two types of cosmic impulses in the sword to enter his body and seep toward his heptastar organs, causing them to explode! He was dead for sure, given how his heptastar organs were filled with bloody holes from the burst as he fell lifelessly to the ground. His Oldgod Ring had been ruptured moments before by Ying Huo.
“You don’t even have warbeasts, so you’re basically crippled! Yet you dared to block my way.” Tianming laughed and turned to Mu Sheng’s head. It glowed green as the walnut reformed and shot toward Tianming, though he didn’t stop it. He didn’t think it would instantly assimilate into his head, seemingly without any side effects. “So if I assimilate it after killing someone, it’ll only take an instant?”
Lin Jianxing was almost there, so Tianming didn’t have time to ponder. His lifebound beasts were already keeping Miao Miaomiao and Cao Tama busy. He charged in again with his divine wonder, killing the one-armed Cao Tama in a single move. Thanks to his lifebound beasts, Tianming didn’t have to worry about his enemy’s orders at all.
“You’re next.” He charged toward Miao Miaomiao.
“No!” she shrieked in pain as Tianming’s sword and divine wonder caused her heptastar organs to explode.
“How cruel…. You even completely obliterated the seventh heptastar organ of the poor girl,” Ying Huo said.
“Shut up.” The third walnut entered his head. Tianming looked back and saw Meow Meow and Xian Xian perfectly coordinate with Dongshen Xiaoli to kill Qi Xuanzi’s last subordinate. Four out of five ebons were dead! He had thought that the walnut would belong to Dongshen Xiaoli, only to see it fly into his head instead.
“Is it because Meow Meow fought with them? My cousin was the one that delivered the final blow, though.” He didn’t understand how it worked, and had no time to figure it out. Lin Jianxing had finally caught up in that short period of time.
Tianming saw the fiendish-looking youth in the distance. On the other side, Yi Zhuojun was fighting Qi Xuanzi and the superfiend alone. Tianming had Dongshen Xiaoli and Lin Linglin move aside, then pointed at his enemy. “Lin Jianxing, it’s your turn to die!”
