Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2570 - Mortal Coil

Chapter 2570 – Mortal Coil

The cloaking formation of the sun had long been deactivated and it was all too easy to spot the pink world that was a third of the size of Gladeus. Paradoxically, it looked even larger from afar. As it had less land to speak of, it let out much more light than Gladeus. Gladeus looked just like a gray shadow of the pink star.

From Tianming’s position, he saw nova sources being compressed together, forming waves of wild energy within the fusion formation. Like feral beasts, they roared and rammed at their surroundings. The sun had relatively little land for its size in the first place. During the twenty years Tianming had spent in Ebonia, the Sun’s fusion formation constantly absorbed more matter scattered across the astralscape, such as asteroids, water, gas, astral dust, and so on to achieve enough mass for a skypiercer-class world, building up quite a lot of volume that separated the surface from the fusion formation below.

However, all of it was rendered moot now that the Sun had absorbed so much more nova source. Even the cities that had been erected crumbled to dust. More than ninety-nine percent of the sun’s surface was part of the fusion formation. Tianming could even look past the fusion formation with his naked eye and see the energies rampaging within the insanely large core. “I wonder if people will think an ownerless sanctuary-class world three times its normal size has formed out of nowhere.”

No being could possibly make a home on top of a fusion formation itself. The fusion formation would continue to collect matter from the void of space, which was actually far more common that people would imagine. For instance, in the sector the Sun had hidden itself in or the Myriadstar Zone itself, there was much matter and debris peppered throughout. They originally served the function of blocking those ownerless nova source worlds, making the zone a great place to store them.

“With the world expanding so much, we have to ensure the lands and seas take form. I should move it to a safe place so it can take its time to absorb debris. In a few years, it should become a peaceful world full of life.” As long as a world had a fusion formation and nova source, everything else would come naturally, like divine ores and herbs. Then again, even with little land or sea, Tianming was already more than moved by the fact that the Sun had reached this point.

“As the Sun grows, the Flameyellow Guard and Fusion Formations are being restored to their former glory. They should now be at the sanctuary class. Coupled with Ji Ji and the Flameyellow Imperial Star’s own innate superior qualities, I think we can even say that those two formations are on Gladeus’s level.” Then again, it was all still his guess as he had no way to actually test that theory out.

“Why don’t you give it a try?” Feiling said. Her hair and clothes were basked in a subtle pink glow. She looked just as happy witnessing Tianming’s excitement. Her smile alone seemed to be enough to bring new life to the current sun.

“The core of the Flameyellow Guard Formation is the Flameyellow Coffin that my godfather holds, while the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb controls the Flameyellow Fusion Formation. I’m sure there’ll be some changes other than size.” He would have to regulate those changes using the ship and couldn’t wait to go back to try them out. He fused the four Flameyellow Cores he had unlocked to trigger the changes. As he watched, the countless divine celestial patterns on the fusion formation began shifting.

“Truly, the fusion formation, which is capable of compressing the energy of so many ownerless nova source worlds, is the quintessence of human knowledge.” Though Tianming was a user of that technology, he was nevertheless impressed by what it was capable of.

“Indeed, fusion formations are the most complex formations.” Feiling, having a better understanding of the subject, understood the significance even more.

“That’s right. But fusion formations may be truly beautiful, but they pale in comparison to my Ling’er’s heavenly pattern formation,” Tianming said with a solemn look. Feiling snapped out of her awe, blushed, and hammered him a few times in the chest, causing him to cough out blood. It seemed that she had forgotten that she was a tenth-astral orderan, capable of easily killing wildbeasts with a few punches!

As they flirted, the fusion formation continued changing. Tianming soon noticed that its structure had stabilized more and more.

“Wait a second.” He saw the patterns on the fusion formation form into many vortices, eventually filling up the entire surface. They spun faster and faster, eventually exerting an unbelievable suction force. However, the Gladean Ruins and Ninedragon Imperial Tomb seemed completely unaffected by it.

“Ah, the fusion formation is only absorbing debris, water, and gas from the astralscape!” Tianming noticed that the debris around him was getting sucked toward the sun.

“Godfather, open the astralguard formation!” Not long after, the Flameyellow Guard Formation dissipated, allowing the debris from outer space to rain down on the fusion formation’s surface. There was far too much of it, to the point that one would barely be able to thread a needle between the empty space!

“Looks like the fusion formation’s ability to absorb material’s been strengthened as well.” The Welkin Plane also had a similar capability, which explained how it was able to form large continents. The Flameyellow Fusion Formation, however, was many times more powerful and operated like a gigantic magnet in outer space. Nothing was able to escape its powerful field of attraction.

Tianming was grateful that he’d had the foresight to get everyone on the sun into the Sky Palace Formation, or this would be a disaster of cosmic proportions. A brand new world was rising in the sanctuary-class Sun. What should have taken centuries seemed like it would be completed in a single short day. The rock, water, and gas that had gathered in the Myriadstar Zone over eons were constantly sucked toward the sun, increasing its volume more and more and even causing its pink glow to dim.

It took less than a day for all the available debris in the zone to be sucked up. That wasn’t the end, however, as the suction only grew stronger and began absorbing debris from an even wider area. “All that will become the land our descendants shall call home!”

By the time the landscapes began reaching a similar standard as Gladeus’, where it could sustain wildlife, Tianming put a stop to the fusion formation’s operation. “The world on the sun has formed successfully!”

He returned to the sun and disembarked from the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, stepping onto fresh soil. There wasn’t a trace of green anywhere his eyes could see. The nova source that leaked out of the fusion formation turned into hazards like firespouts, lightning blasts, windstorms, and blizzards; it would still take some time for the world to be forged.

“Well, building our own homes and erecting new legacies is a beautiful thing after all.” Even though Gladeus was much safer, he didn’t really feel like going back. He wanted to lead everyone on the Sun to build a new haven together! He had a blank slate to build the dynasty he wanted! But more than anything else, he wanted to protect this place along with his family, friends, and devotees.

“They’ve given me their faith, their everything, so I have to repay them with everything I have.” He felt the impetus of the Sun gathering around him, as if the world itself was linked to his being. The energy of the world’s nova source seemed to be congregating around him, as if the Sun itself was putting its confidence in him. Back then, the sun emperor had also had the impetus of the Sun, but Tianming’s current impetus was thousands of times stronger! Everywhere he set foot, mud and vapor bubbled up, making it the perfect incubator for new life!
