Chapter 2982 – Greenhill Fox
Tianming could feel all that rage. The Sky Palace Formation was being engulfed in nova source and he watched the skies unnaturally light up.
“After all this, you’re still hiding behind those people and letting them be the villains?” Tianming had no idea what Yi Daiyan was thinking, nor did he care to know. With things reaching the point of a bombardment by five million ships, the situation was definitely no joke. The only thing on his mind right now was to take down Yi Daiyan and settle who truly owned the Infinitum Mundus. Though he wanted to push the conflict until later, the other side wasn’t giving him a chance.
“Well, same deal as usual. The Sun isn’t moving, so anyone who comes shall die!” Tianming reentered the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, his lifebound beasts still attached to him.
“Feng’er….” Xiaodao and the others quickly surrounded him.
“I’m alright. I’ll go out and force her to come to me! I’m sure she’ll be brave enough to fight an Infinitum Duel, at least,” Tianming said. That was an old custom of the Infinitum Bodhimanda, and Yi Daiyan had risen to the top through just such a duel.
“Very well!” Xiaodao and the rest were confident and supportive. Even though Tianming was going out alone, he carried the power of trillions with him!
The strongest divine astralship rose into the sky as Tianming piloted it. While Demoness Yin had made a hole in it, it wasn’t that big of a deal. The fiendvore drakegold that the ship was made of had self-healing properties, and the tiny breach was mostly sealed up.
When Tianming was one with his ship, he was akin to an infinitum-class nova wildbeast. The five million ships waiting for him outside were merely equivalent to ether-class wildbeasts, or even weaker. They had numbers, but they were nothing to be feared. If Tianming hadn’t been intending to fight an Infinitum Duel, he would have had the Gladean Ruins go with him as well.
The nine-headed dragon ship rose and charged its breath as countless trillions watched from below.
“Die!” Tianming roared. His subjects’ fighting spirit reached a new, higher peak, bringing Tianming’s strength to the apex, far above when he had killed Demoness Yin! Back then, he had been badly injured, but now he was in peak condition! Carrying the hopes of countless people, he piloted his ship out of the Sky Palace Formation and began a slaughter.
The astral gods outside witnessed nine mechanical dragon heads emerging from the formation. The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb shone brilliantly amidst the flaming storms.
Its nine heads felt alive as they roared and unleashed Fiendvore Dragonbreath. Nine heads worked together and charged up a single sphere of pure energy that vaporized the ships in its wake like a cavalryman knocking down children he rode past.
That blast alone immediately blew up thousands of heliacal- and skypiecer-class ships, killing the astral gods on board. Even astral gods would just be vaporized if they met Fiendvore Dragonbreath head-on, unless they had cosmic charts. What was even more terrifying was how the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb used its claws and jaws to tear away at smaller astralships like they were paper toys, completely unchallenged!
Many astral gods of the Infinitum Bodhimanda were stunned and terrified, having never had the wrath of the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb turned on them. The ebons had always been the ones to be attacked; it was only now that they realized how much of a powerhouse it was.
“Evade! Evade!”
“Don’t stay grouped together!”
“Scatter! He can’t kill us all! Keep bombarding the Sky Palace Formation!”
Yushan Taifeng and the rest were deeply awed. At their orders, the ships that had densely gathered together for the bombardment scattered to limit the destruction wrought by the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. They were like little chicks, scurrying away when the eagle arrived to pick them out.
The folk within the Sky Palace Formation cheered at the sight, mocking how haggard the Infinitum Bodhimanda’s army was. In terms of astralships, Tianming’s side had two infinitum-class ones, which was a huge advantage. Not even hundreds of ether-class ships could measure up against a single infinitum-class ship. With the enemy ships scattered, Tianming began targeting the ether-class ships instead.
“The Greenhill Yushan Clan, eh? Do you think you’re some kind of glorious hero, Yushan Taifeng?” Tianming knew which ship he piloted: the Greenhill Fox! It was a ship that took the shape of a beast. It looked like a green nine-tailed fox and stood out among the crowd.
The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb roared, causing the Greenhill Fox to cower away like a little chick. The attacks from other ships—even ether-class ones—didn’t do much to damage the fiendvore drakegold. The most Tianming felt was a few rumbles, which were insufficient in stopping him from catching up to the Greenhill Fox.
As more and more blasts came from the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, the Greenhill Fox began to smoke and flame despite its desperate attempts to evade. Then the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb’s tail surged with nova source, allowing the drill at its tip to pierce into the Greenhill Fox! The top-tier ship that had been passed down for tens of millions of years in the Greenhill Yushan Clan was ripped through just like that! Its miniaturized nova source having been damaged, it exploded in a magnificent ball of green flame, coloring the skies green. Countless green shards rained down on the Sky Palace Formation.
“No!” “It can’t be!”
All the astral gods of the Greenhill Yushan Clan widened their eyes as tears began flowing. Their pride and glee vanished in an instant, replaced by endless despair. Their flagship had been blown apart!
