Chapter 225 – Appointment With The Wedding Organizers (1)

"Miss Jing Jing, don't ridicule us. We are very sincere," Danny spoke in a serious tone but the lady continued to chuckle on her seat.

With Jing Jing's former employment, there was really no need for an introduction when it comes to her. Almost all people in district 7 know her face and these fraternity leaders were not exempted from it.

"Don't worry boys, I will drive safely. I am not a reckless driver," Jing Jing stated but the playfulness on her expression did not fade.

When Sofia glanced at her phone again. It was to brief but Jing Jing took notice of her movement. By now, she had completely understood that such a gesture of the young lady meant that she was looking for the time.

"Alright, time for us to leave. Bye-bye!" She quickly bid goodbye to the two men and drove off the road, leaving nothing but a cloud of dust behind. Sofia had just raised her hand did not get a chance to say or wave goodbye at the two.

"Sister Jing, it's still early. The appointment is at 11 am. No need to rush," Sofia stated. She had already notified Jing Jing about the coordinator before they met. Thus, there was also no need for her to speak of their destination.

"Sofia, there might be traffic congestion. It's fine to drive this way," Jing Jing grinned and looked straight ahead of them.

"This speed is also okay," Sofia muttered in agreement.

Five minutes before their appointment, Jing Jing pulled over at the residential area, exactly in front of the gate where the Carmella Cakes was located.

The two stepped out of the car and peered inside the balcony facing them were an elderly couple was enjoying their tea.

The scene was quite nostalgic to Jing Jing. When she brought the celebratory cake the last time she went to this place, the husband and wife were also sitting on the same spot.

The elder woman waved at them and gestured for them to enter. Sofia quickly stepped forward and sauntered towards the elderly couple.

"The young master of the Lee family had informed me of your visit. You must be Sofia? I am Carmella, the owner of this event organizer company. I also seel pastries, hehe," the elder woman introduced.

"Your cake is delicious. Sister Jing Jing brought a cake for us the past few days," Sofia commented.

"Ohh, thank you! I'm glad you like my products! I've heared that you are opening a hoster with a dining place? And this will be the venue for the reception of the wedding?" the elder woman responded. She gave a subtle glance and evaluate Sofia using her eyes.

Sofia crossed her knees when she felt that Carmella's gaze seemed to scrutinize her.

"That's true. I know Brent in a virtual game. And we happen to reunite during the online tournament. His bride is also my friend," Sofia affirmed to establish her relationship with their clients.

"Ohhh… so you are friends with the Lee and Clenne family. I see," the elder woman spoke. This time, it was obvious that she was looking down at the young lady. It was as if she was inferring that Sofia would not be able to have her clients if it's not because of her relationship with them. Her line of vision smoothly switched towards Jing Jing and she smiled widely at her. "Miss Jing Jing, it's good to see you again!"

"Hello, ma'am! Here is my employer," Jing Jing said shortly and looked at Sofia.

"Employer? You choose to give up your promising career for a young girl?" this time it was the husband who questioned Jing Jing.

"This is also a promising career. It's way better than the former job that I have," Jing Jing defended.

The elder couple exchanged a meaningful glance and shook their heads in disapproval.

"Ma'am, I am here to speak with you about the decorations for the venue," Sofia maintained a respectful tone in her voice.

"Oh right! I can't believe that they are changing venue! And from what I have learned, your location is not so safe? There are thugs making trouble around the area?" the elder woman spoke her worries right away.

"The location had long been neutralized. No one is causing trouble in the area. And the place is better for the reception," Sofia answered with a formal smile plastered on her lips.

"Heh! Since the place has their own shady background, what advantage could it give to our client?" the husband inquire.

Jing Jing slowly scratched the back of her neck. But Sofia maintained her composure.

"There are a lot of advantages to the location. First, the Clenne Family is the leader of our district. If we can show to the citizens that the shady location will be the venue of the wedding for the mayor's daughter, the citizens will know that the mayor was leading our district perfectly to the point of converting the shady places into an ideal reception venue. It will prove that the peace in this district is already here. This way, the image of the mayor is favorable for the next election," Sofia explained.

"You sounded like that political analyst. How did you come up with this reasoning?" the husband questioned further.

"I dare not claim to be one of those political analysts, sir. I am merely trying to observe our district and help the mayor to enhance our community," Sofia responded in a modest way.

"Ohh… but this is only a one-sided advantage. Our biggest concern is the Lee family. We don't want to offend their clan! They are powerful and can make us stop operating if they wished to!" the old woman stated with a lack of emotion in her voice.

"As for the Lee family? Hmm, let me think," Sofia said and blinked her eyes several times.

Earlier, she had expected that when she would meet these couple, they would directly discuss important matters such as the decorations of the venue and the pricing.

Who would have thought that the elder couple was also interested in hearing her opinion to the big families of their district!
