Chapter 189
Chapter 189: Forge Master, Flame Demon, and Forge Grand-master
Fanta Kunge hesitated for less than a second and said, “Let me have two sips.”
“I’ll have three sips.” Cech Flet replied in a simple and direct way.
“Thus I will take four sips!” Duren Burg raised his voice as if they were in a competition to be the loudest one.
“Then I will have five sips!”
“Give me six sips then!”
Qian Jin looked at these three people speechlessly, wondering whether they had been tortured for so long that they had to compete with each other over taking medicine.
A pot of potion was quickly finished by these three scrambling warriors, after which each of them had their bellies bulge. Qian Jin smeared the dregs on their fractured bones, saying that, “Are you little kids? Why do you vie for the potion? Fortunately, this potion carries no side effects.”
“The Fallen Angel Bloodline couldn’t lose to any other bloodlines.” Cech Flet appeared an evidently proud face. As one of the three strongest Bloodline Demon Warriors, he was endowed with the honor of counterattacking the three ultimate bloodline warriors of the Zence Empire, so of what odds could he be defeated by a non-bloodline warrior and a Hydra bloodline warrior?
“The Fallen Angel bloodline means nothing to me! I will become the first Hydra bloodline warrior to enter the ultimate awakening!” Duren Burg screwed his lips and said, “By that time I will kill the Demon Emperor Lucifer!”
Fanta Kunge looked at the other bloodline warriors in silence, “The mission of the Fanta Family is to surpass all bloodline warriors, thus I will never be defeated.”
“Damn!” Qian Jin swung his arms impatiently, “You three lunatics, just go on with your bickering! But tomorrow I will make you the potion that tastes more disgusting to will see whether you can still be so energetic.”
The three graved wounded warriors put on a sullen face, felt their eyes twitch and again wore a fiercely murderous look.
It was obvious that the three young warriors with special identities had deemed each other as rivals!
Qian Jin found an empty room, entered it, closed the heavy iron door, locked the gate carefully, threw himself onto the straw-cladded bed, and opened his warrior dimension to check his belongings in it.
In his warrior dimension, there were boxes of glistening gold, metal materials looted when the Demons and the merchants were sabotaging each other, golden snake gall, and an identity certificate of a Two Star of the Dark Group.
“What has happened during the past two years is really incredible.” Qian Jin took out his mage hat which unveiled his fantasy journey and lamented, “Two years ago, I was still begging to earn a living, but now, I have become a rich guy with at least 10,000 gold coins.”
“I’ve been too busy recently to go into the endless world.” Qian Jin shut down his warrior dimension, spread onto the bed, covered the mage hat on his face and fell asleep, where he again came to the familiar village.
For the several days he had left it remained silent, without any changes.
Pushing open the door of Blake’s Blacksmith Shop, Qian Jin didn’t see Blake crouching in a corner smoking from his pipe as usual; instead, he was caught sitting in front of the ragged wooden table. And still, he was smoking his pipe.
Blake had a glimpse at Qian Jin, pointed his pipe at the blacksmithing drill pool and continued enjoying smoking.
Blacksmithing! Qian Jin held up a hammer and pulled the bellow to make the fire burn hard. When the crude iron bar was burnt hot, he performed the Second Hammering Technique of the Eighteen Blade Elevating Strikes, which was combined with the iron cast to produce sparks as beautifully dazzling as fire magic.
Qian Jin practiced hammering for three hours without a ceasing until Blake suddenly poked his hand and took away the blacksmithing hammer as Qian Jin was putting it down.
“You…” Qian Jin looked at the blacksmithing hammer held in Blake’s hands with a puzzled face.
“Go to the West Mountain.” Blake threw him a map, “Kill that Hundred Year Old Flame Demon, and fetch me its magic core.”
“Hundred Year Old Flame Demon?” Qian Jin observed the map and asked, “Are you kidding me, my uncle? Although the Hundred Year Old Flame Demon is just a Flame Demon during the early stage, it still belongs to the Flame Demon species after all. How could I manage to kill it?”
Blake fixed his turbid eyes at Qian Jin’s face, “As a Forge Grandmaster, you must have a robust figure to withstand the test of Flame Demon. In this sense, the magic core is also a necessity for advancing into a Forge Grandmaster.”
A Forge Grandmaster? Qian Jin had a look at the data of the Second Hammering Technique of Eighteen Blade Elevating Strikes, wondering how could he turn into a Forge Grandmaster when he hadn’t even fully mastered the First Hammering Technique.
Blake poked his pipe at a room behind him, “You have covered a lot of the books, and have gained sufficient foundational knowledge. Since the Second Hammering Technique is difficult to learn, it’s quite normal that it is hard for you.”
“Pass this test, master the Second Hammering Technique and then I will become a Forge Grandmaster?” Qian Jin looked into Blake with great surprise. Becoming a Forge Grandmaster is not as easy as falling off a log! Even if he didn’t know the specific architecture of the Blacksmith Union of Zence Empire, he was clear that the Forge Grandmasters were in such scarcity throughout the entire empire that even a Blacksmith Union at regional level might not be equipped with a Forge Grandmaster.
If placed in the General Union of Blacksmiths in the Holy Capital, every Forge Grandmaster would enjoy a relatively high position; if he betrayed his motherland and run to the Lucifer Empire of the Demon Species, he would even be welcomed by the Emperor Lucifer in person. As long as he could escape the incessant assassins from the Zence Empire, he was very likely to live a life as comfortable and cozy as Emperor Lucifer.
“Hm.” Blake discarded his usual overcast look and wore a rather appreciative face, “You aren’t the most clever person I’ve ever met, but you definitely have the intuition. bAnd besides, you’re are very hard-working. I also feel shocked that you have nearly become a Forge Grandmaster during two years’ practice.”
Qian Jin smiled, as Blake seemed elated today, which could be inferred from his lengthy talk.
“Can I pick up one weapon?” Qian Jin cast his eyes at the warrior weapons on the arms shelf. These weapons were not simply forged with Purified Iron but blended with a mixture of assorted categories of metals, whose texture, forging technique and performance were far beyond his Zhanmadao put away in the warrior dimension.
“Just choose one.” Blake nodded his head, “It’s good for you to try quality warrior weapons as it will help you understand the working principles of such weapons so that you will find it much easier to create your own equipment in the future.”
“Thank you, uncle.” Qian Jin dashed to the weapon shelf and took down the original Ji-Du Zhanmadao. At that moment, his warrior power was emitted into it, which triggered a cold light in the yard.
“However, you cannot take any these weapons out.” Blake came back to the table, went on smoking his pipe and said, “You can use them as you like, but you cannot take them out of the yard.”
Qian Jin stood on the ground motionlessly with Zhanmadao held in his hand, whose light died down instantly. What the hell? He wasn’t allowed to take the weapons out of the yard? Then with what could he go to chop down Flame Demon? Now that he had already got the [Purple Beam] Bow forged by Blake, if he could take this Zhanmadao with him, and managed to get some medicine, it wouldn’t be that hard for him to kill the Flame Demon. With the rising of his blacksmithing level, Qian Jin was more aware of the difference between warrior weapons.
A little child was not able to chop off a Demon Fighter with a fine warrior weapon, but with a quality warrior weapon, a level 3 Demon Fighter might have immense chances of defeating a Level 6 or 7 Demon Fighter. And when it turned to this Zhanmadao owned by Blake…
Qian Jin was sure that he had the potential of defeating the Bloodline Demon Warrior, Nila, who was above him by leaps and bounds in a face-to-face combat, provided that he owned a real Zhanmadao.
“Well, it seems that I have to labor more on forging a weapon of my own and challenge the Demon Warrior Nila.” Qian Jin looked around while holding the Zhanmadao, transferred his warrior power into it every now and then, and tried to feel the various situations that occurred during the transmitting process. He used to pay much attention to the stupendous books while neglecting the real objects in this room.
Time flew by just in the blink of an eye. Qian Jin waited until the time when he was required to go to Eulalia’s for learning mystic potion. He placed down his weapon and said, “My uncle, I will drop in here tomorrow.”
“Okay.” Blake nodded his head and continued smoking the pipe.
“You have come.” Eulalia looked at Qian Jin, who was entwined by some steel wire on his arrival at the room, “Come here, I have prepared a new type of mystic potion for you, which is called Earthquake Volcano Potion.”
Oh, long-time-no-see, pains! Qian Jin had started to miss the beating of Bulk Demon Bloodline Warrior Nila, whose fists were much more tender compared with this so-called Earthquake Volcano Potion.
“Enjoy your time, and then go to the rear of the room to do some reading.” Eulalia flicked away the dust over her body, and turned back to the laboratory desk to carry on with her experiment, “This time, I must work out a kind of potion that will turn a pig into a god after digesting!”
Qian Jin felt a gust of chilly wind rising up to his head at the same time he was tortured by the pains over his body. Every experiment would invariably lead to one result, that was…
Boom! A severe jolting was produced by the earth, which stirred up Eulilia’s house to bulge like an exploding balloon and the wall and door to rocket here and there under the strong shock of the potion explosion. Qian Jin couldn’t escape from the explosion: he was bounced to the sky for several meters and then rolled out of the collapsing house.
Eulalia stood up, patted her clothes which had suffered numerous explosions yet hadn’t been smashed, shook off most of the dust and uttered a deep sigh, “Well, I shouldn’t be that hasty.”
Qian Jin’s body was aching both inside and outside as he was thinking to himself; “You have eventually come to realize that you have been too hasty?
“I shall first look into the way of making an eyes-exchanging potion.” Eulalia patted her little sexy backside from under her robe, swung her body and walked to the backyard, “It is said Adams is able to take off the retinas of normal eyes and place them on a blind person. But what I want to achieve is changing the whole eyeball! The retinas can only help recover one’s eyesight, possessing limited performance…”
“Change one’s eyeball?” Qian Jin opened his mouth wide, “Everyone’s eyeballs are suitable only for himself, which, if placed into someone’s eye sockets, will be naturally repulsed. Besides, this is unattainable. Or else, the next time I meet a bloodline warrior with Pupil Chanting Ability, I’ll just take down his eyeballs and put them into mine so that I will acquire this ability!”
After sixteen hours in the endless world, Qian Jin stretched his body and placed his hat into the warrior dimension. Then he grabbed some food, either as breakfast or as supper since there was no day and night difference in the Debris, and hurried for the pharmacy shop.
Grandma Medi sat by Qian Jin’s side like a student and asked him some questions about pharmacy now and then to say whether Qian Jin had studied those questions. She soon found that Qian Jin was able to give answers to the questions of all aspects of pharmacy!
During the short period when Qian Jin labored on making potions, Grandma Medi felt that she had learned much more than what she had acquired in the Pharmacist Union for a whole year.
“Grandma Medi, I will send the potion to the three guys, and I will come to see you later.” Qian Jin rushed out of the pharmacy shop, holding a bowl of potion in his hand. Today’s potion tasted even worse than yesterday’s. Qian Jin was curious to see whether the three guys would be able to hold it down.
“Oh, okay.” Seeing Qian Jin leave away, Grandma Medi blossomed a flower-like smile on her wrinkling face, “I’m so lucky to have left the Pharmacist Union of Zolan State! Those greedy guys were overindulged in making money, paying no attention to researching into pharmaceutics. Someday they will pay a huge price for their greed! Luck! It is sheer luck for me to encounter such a pharmacy master…”
Grandma Medi smacked her wizened lips and forced a bitter smile on her face, “Master…it’s a little weird to call him a master since he is so young. But even though he is not a real pharmacist, his well-rounded knowledge of pharmaceutics could even overshadow a real master of pharmaceutics. I wonder whether Master Cromwell could compete with this guy on the pharmaceutical knowledge of level 7 and above?”
“Hey guys, here is your medicine.” Qian Jin pushed the door open and saw that each of the three had placed a big bowl in front of them.
On the smell of the potion in the pot, the three guys changed their expressions and looked into each other in the eyes, putting on strong murderous intent over their “gallant” figures.
“It’s good for you to drink more so that you could recover soon.” Qian Jin felt deep admiration for their gallantry of not surrendering to this disgusting potion. He thought, “If I got hurt I would also behave like them. I also want to surpass the bloodline warriors! If an Elf King Bloodline Warrior was here, I might put on an intensifier murderous look! I won’t lose to the ruthless Qian Family even if I might be defeated by all other people! The Qian Family in which someone had activated the bloodline energy would plunder his own brothers and father! The Qian Family which had bred ultimate bloodline warriors as well as elf king bloodline warriors!”
The Ultimate Bloodline Warriors were crowned with exclusive glory and pride. As for the Top Ten Bloodline Warrior Families, their dreams were cultivating a bloodline warrior who could rival the ultimate bloodline warriors, while the uniform goal of an ordinary warrior was becoming a bloodline warrior.
Qian Jin only had eight hours to go to the endless world every day. He took out an energy stone from the warrior dimension, used two hours to absorb the energy of that stone inside his body, and then started meditating.
There was a higher realm above the Level 9 Demon Fighter, which, in the view of the Demons, was the Second Tier. Could that be achieved through accumulating warrior power? If so, the Iron-Arm Mantis Bloodline could have entered that higher realm as his warrior power had reached the peak of a Level 9 Demon Fighter, but for what reason hadn’t he succeeded? Till the end, he was forced to improve his rotation speed of warrior power?
But another bloodline warrior, the Bulk Demon Bloodline Warrior Nila, one of the top ten Bloodline Demon Warriors, achieved that! However, the Iron-Arm Mantis Bloodline, one of the top ten Bloodline Warriors of the Zence Empire then, whose ranking was in the upstream, hadn’t ever made that breakthrough. Why?
“Someday in the future, I will reach the peak of warrior power, and that won’t be too long.” Qian Jin slightly shivered his shoulder, because the rotating speed of the warrior power didn’t only perform on the battlefield, but also determined the accumulating speed of warrior power volume during daily practice.
“I couldn’t wait until that time.” Qian Jin rested his chin on his palm, was set into meditation again, “It will be too late if I start pondering this matter when the time comes. I have to do it early. It will be good to gain some lessons from my former opponents. That day, Nila…”
Qian Jin closed his eyes, entered into sheer darkness, and started recalling their fight in the downpour. The compelling power of the activated warrior energy, and the striking-back fist when Nila was gravely injured flashed before his eyes.
All of a sudden, Qian Jin felt that his body was awakened, where the feeling of being beat by the fist on his chest, which then aroused his warrior power, appeared again! Qian Jin opened his eyes harshly, “Definitely! It is the exact eccentric feeling. Was it not for my having stayed in the Four Season Valley for two years, I might have lost the courage of defending! His warrior power wasn’t pure warrior power, into which there must be something else integrated.”
“What could that be?” Qian Jin frowned hard, “It’s a tiresome question. What if Fabreidis was here? I could have asked him for the answer. It makes sense to go to the war academy since having a tutor to coach me makes such a big difference.”
“[Enlak’s Warrior Energy House]!” Qian Jin looked at the mage hat by which he would enter the endless world in the evening, “Apart from the pharmacy shop, there is a blacksmith shop as well as the [Enlak’s Warrior Energy House]! As it entails Level 8 Warrior Energy to open it up, I wasn’t able to push it open when I hadn’t acquired that level of warrior energy in the past. Later I mastered the required warrior energy, but still, I didn’t have the chance of going there as I had been extremely busy. Maybe I can get an answer there?”
Qian Jin softly touched his mage hat. The endless world was really a fantastic place, where he had not only improved his warrior power, but also honed his forging technique as well as pharmaceutics abilities to the master’s level during the past two years. Even if he discarded his warrior identity, he could live a comfortable life with these skills.
“No! That’s not enough!” Qian Jin took a deep breath, and twisted his eyebrows toward hard, “I will become a great warrior! And I will save my father from the Qian Family with that identity! However, I haven’t had the chance of practicing magic. What a perfect thing it will be if I could pick up my father with a double-identity of mage and warrior. When this is over, I will come back home directly to pick up my father! Even if failing to be a mayor, I will take my father out of the Qian Family first! He won’t suffer anymore! I used to suffer a lot each time I saw Qian Wushan treading on my father’s back to get onto the horse!”
A sound made by the fingers beating on the metal rang from the iron door. Qian Jin tucked his mage hat, stood up and walked to the door, “Who is it?”
“It’s me, Hayen Brianna.”
As the iron door was opened, Qian Jin saw a dazzling light. Hayen Brianna was standing in her warrior outfit, with a white belt wrapping around her slender waist which added more color to her shapely figure.
If Rollin was still alive to see this type of woman…Qian Jin smiled. Maybe he wouldn’t covet Julius, and for this moment he would still be in the world of the living, making envious fortunes.
