Chapter 492 491 - Turning Point(Part 4)

Chapter 492 491 – Turning Point(Part 4)

  Point-of-View: Shiro Blanc

———————————————————————————

No…no, this can’t be happening, please, no…

She was all I really cared about, she can’t be gone…she just can’t…it’s not fair, I wanted nothing else but her, so why…why…?

There’s nothing else for me to live for, she was everything to me…so she can’t be dead, she just can’t, damn it! It can’t be over…surely there’s a way to bring her back!?

Think…think, damn it!

I bit down on my lower lip in frustration and despair as I felt tears running down my face, my vision blurring as my chest tightened. Sh-she’s…she’s really gone. She’s dead.

My shoulders slumped in anguish, as a choked sob escaped my lips, my body trembling in sorrow and despair…why? Why did this have to happen?

I should’ve just knocked her out or forced her to stay behind…she wouldn’t have been happy about it, but she’d still be alive. Why did I let her take the risk? What the hell was I thinking!?

That damned bastard…who does he think he is, what gives him the right to take away what I loved and treasured above all else, huh? I’ll…I’ll kill him. I swear, I’ll kill him…

I felt a surge of hatred as I sensed immense bloodlust behind me…it’s him. He needs to die. No one’s gonna stand in the way of that…

”Cusnai…get back to the castle,” I stated icily as I slashed at him with my tail, a wince of pain ringing out behind me.

”R-right…,” She responded before leaving, as I felt him teleport away as he said…

”Too bad, I thought I could get you while you had your guard down…guess it won’t be that easy,” He laughed in amusement.

Huh? You think this is funny?

”I’ll kill you, you fucking bastard…I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU, YOU HEAR ME!?!?” I exclaimed furiously, before I shot towards him while firing out a barrage of Obliteration Magic blasts.

He turned intangible to avoid the blasts, before leaping up as I fired out a massive Obliteration Magic blast at him, avoiding getting fully enveloped in it.

”Aw, what’s the matter, you mad I stole your girl’s heart, bro?” He taunted me, as he drove his trident straight down at my head as I closed in.

I evaded it, the blade grazing my cheek as I extended my claws towards him like spears, but he remained intangible.

”Die…die, die, die!” I snapped, as I followed after him as he teleported away, continuing to attack relentlessly to use up his time limit.

I was blasting out Elemental Magic and Obliteration Magic blasts ceaselessly, before he suddenly let out a cry of pain as a fireball struck his left shoulder.

He teleported away again in alarm, but I didn’t let him get away, following immediately and grabbing his throat before he could get away.

He pierced his trident into my midsection in response, but I ignored it, tightening my grip around his throat before teleporting us to the ground and slamming him onto it with all my strength, eliciting a sharp gasp from him.

”Die. Die. Die. Die! Die, die, die, die, die!” I yelled, as I repeatedly slammed him onto the ground with all my strength, feeling his bones cracks and fracture deeper and deeper with each and every hit.

I’ll make him suffer all the pain I can inflict upon him, I’ll put him through the utmost of agony!

Suddenly, he turned intangible again and slipped out of my grasp, teleporting away and leaping into a narrow alleyway.

I won’t let him get away, not this time! I activated the barrier that I used the last time we fought, before zipping towards the alley and going in…before freezing in shock.

There were several figures inside the alley…all resembling Minise, battered and bloodied. One of them then moved, stepping towards me…

”Shiro…how could you let me die like that?” She inquired with a look of betrayal, before suddenly sending several wooden vines zipping towards me and wrapping around my body.

H-how dare he…transforming into her like this, using the abilities he stole from her, I…I won’t allow it!

”I’ll destroy you, you piece of shit!” I snarled, as I broke free from the vines and began to shoot towards him, when suddenly, several Ghouls appeared all around me with vicious shrieks, right as he teleported up to a rooftop, staring down in amusement as the monsters swarmed me…

Oh, wow, Ghouls are even more savage monsters than I thought they were…just look at them tear into him.

They’re much weaker and slower than he is, of course, but I summoned a total of fifty of them, and he can’t pay attention to all of them. There were several deep cuts and scratches all over him, being inflicted faster than he could heal himself.

And in the meantime, I’m buying myself some time to heal the damage he inflicted…and he inflicted quite a bit of damage.

Anyway, as he finished killing about half of them, his throat ripped open and his stomach deeply gashed, I undid the summoning as I simultaneously teleported behind him, and before he could react, I used my trident to slice off his limbs.

And as he collapsed onto the ground on his back, I slammed my foot onto his eyes to block his vision and prevent him from using teleportation, letting out a gleeful chuckle as I continued slicing at the stumps of his limbs to prevent him from teleporting away, as I also used my Corruption Magic to seal up his mouth, to prevent him from firing out any attacks that way.

All it took was transforming into Minise to gain an opening, and before he could compose himself, I swarmed him with my Ghouls to keep him disoriented by repeatedly getting injured.

And in that chaos, he had no time to teleport away and get some distance to regain his bearings. And the moment his frustration reached a boil, I swooped in and incapacitated him.

And now, he’s at my mercy. But sadly for him…I have no mercy to offer him. None whatsoever.

Suddenly, his tail came whipping up at my throat, and as I quickly raised my trident in alarm to deflect it, I could only partially do so, the edge of his tail painfully gashing through my left shoulder.

I grimaced in pain before I jammed my trident into his waist and violently twisted it around, severing his tail before he could slash again.

”That was a close one. But it’s over now,” I smirked, as I drove my trident down towards his heart.

Suddenly, he split off into five copies and began to fly away…but he was too slow. I wasted no time in cutting them all down, before charging after the last one, teleporting in front of him and slashing his eyes with my trident, which he had almost fully healed.

Damn, he can heal fast, way faster than me! But he’s too damaged to heal all the way through in time to put up a fight against me again.

I slashed off his lower half from just below the ribcage, before slicing off his shoulders as well, along with his wings.

”Now, then, I wonder how immense of a boost I’ll get from your heart. Let’s find out, shall we?” I smirked, as I drove my trident into his chest-…hm?

Oh, looks like he’s increasing the density of his ribcage…no matter, he’s only slowing me down, it can’t stand up to my trident for long. There’s no escape…this barrier he activated has only trapped him in with me.

And he can’t destroy the spell, it’s in his pocket, which is in his severed lower half right now. It’s impressive that he’s not dead yet, even with all the blood loss and injuries. But that’s going to change soon. He’ll die here, there’s no avoiding it.

Suddenly his sealed mouth tore open with a gasp, as he uttered weakly…

”I’ve…I’ve lost, there’s no denying that, but…but I’ll be damned if I let you eat my heart. Yeah, you win…but you’ll be getting no power boost from me,” He smirked weakly, before blood suddenly poured out of his mouth, his body going limp.

Huh? What just happened?

As I tore open his chest and broke through his ribcage, I grimaced as I saw what he’d done…he destroyed his own heart, using Corruption Magic from the look of it. And he’s destroyed it so thoroughly that it’s beyond salvaging.

”Well played, I guess. But it’s fine…it’s a shame that I won’t get that massive power boost I’ve been anticipating, but it doesn’t really matter,” I shrugged, as I walked over to his lower half and found the barrier Spell Card, “After all…there’s now no longer anyone left who’s even a fraction as powerful as I am!”
