Chapter 65: Beginnings of the Secret Society (3)

“Kill them all!” Compass Carburettor said as he walked out, suddenly clenching his chest as he expressed intense pain, as if he was suffering from cardiac arrest, shouting with a whisper, “Heeeelp meeee!”

As there was hardly any crowd in the gambling den, every staff noticed her, immediately rushing towards her in an effort to help her. After all, in their eyes, she was their customer, one that had yet to wager all her assets.

So, she had as much value as her assets. And, considering her actions, they judged that she was fairly rich. To such a valuable customer, they didn’t want anything to happen until she wagered all her belongings.

With such a notion of thought, they rushed towards her rescue. As the other customers were just in a state of despair from innumerous losses, the staff didn’t mind them, having regarded them as nothing but flesh sacks with valuable kidneys.

“Ma’am, are you alright?” All the staff rushed towards her, propping her as they tried to see what was up with her. Compass Carburettor’s acting was top-notch, making the scene realistic, grabbing the attention of everyone.

As for the two servants, they too shouted at the start, flustered at what happened to the lady. And as all the staff rushed towards them, they created a lot of buzz, making a cacophony of sounds. The place became slightly chaotic.

Using the chance, the two servants slowly slipped out of the crowd, positioning themselves perfectly within a couple of seconds as they took out their Armaments, activating it in one full action. Fealta pointed the arm holding the Armament on the shoulder level while Caithy pointed the same along the hip level.

Long Sword!

Wide Sword!

In the fraction of a second, two slabs of light appeared in the crowd, stunning everyone as they felt their bodies being cut into two. Everything happened before they could react, killing them.

Compass Carburettor hurriedly slid out from the encirclement, noticing Fealta and Caithy retract their energy blades, causing all the bodies to plop to the ground and bleed copious amounts of blood.

“W-What happened?” The couple of staff that had remained behind in other places were stunned, hurriedly turning around as they intended to inform their boss about it when Compass Carburettor pointed at their backs.

A hole appeared in their heads as they plopped to the ground, dead.

“Ahhhh!” The remaining customers screamed in fear, tumbling to the ground as they soiled their clothes.

The trio didn’t bother with them as Compass Carburettor approached a wide wall, staring at it as he smiled, “Right, this would be perfect.”

He then took out his Armament, pointing it at the wall before activating it, creating an energy blade that pierced through the wall. He deactivated it, slightly moving the Armament before activating it once again.

In this manner, he created a detailed symbol on the wall, his symbol, making it seem like his organisation, the Secret Society had raided the place. His goal was to leave behind traces of the Secret Society, making it seem like the killings had been done in a flash.

At present, the bodies of all the staff were piled up, severed into two each. This created a scary sensation. After all, the staff had been positioned in their respective spots. So, it was odd that all of them had huddled in one place and died.

The more bizarre something was, the more people would build up stories around it. All it does would help further spread the idea of his organisation. Moreover, as this happens repeatedly, the Secret Society would become solidified in the minds of the populace.

So, when Regriel tries to investigate about it, he would actually find out some rumours about it. That was another reason Compass Carburettor went overboard with his plans. Each of his actions had numerous underlying meanings.

Only with such multi-layered, multi-faceted schemes would he be able to actually fool Regriel’s System. Even a rumour, when circulated countless times would eventually turn into reality. It was as simple as that.

Sheeple Effect!

Swaying public opinion was something he could do in his sleep, having done that on a daily basis while on Earth. So, it was easy for Compass Carburettor to enact his plan.

After carving his logo on the wall, he turned around, gazing at the frightened customers with an amicable smile, “The next time you enter any gambling den of the sort, the Secret Society would consider you as potential targets to be eliminated.”

Saying her piece, the lady accompanied the two men as they walked through a door, vanishing from the place. As for the remaining customers, it was as if they had encountered a ghost as some of them had even fainted from the sheer fear.

As for the others, they scurried away from the place, crawling along the way to escape the gambling den no matter what.

“Hahaha, the trade this time was a grand success. We obtained a lot of Darble Crystals and almost a kilogram of Kepadora. With this, we can expand our organisation further.” A man’s raucous voice resounded through the corridor, followed by cheers from numerous people.

“Boss is amazing. Our gang already has Peckle City under our control. Even the Aristocrats are slowly giving in to us. It won’t be long before even they submit to our rule.” Another voice resounded, the tone suffused with a greasy sensation of submission, fealty, and ass-kissing.

“Haha, you are rather smart. I’ll give you an administrative position once I become the Lord of this city.” The raucous man’s voice resounded when Compass Carburettor entered the room, immediately shooting the kneecaps of the two people that he judged were the most important of the lot.

As for the rest, Fealta and Caithy took charge upon his input, immediately attacking. The group were under a mild drug influence, so they hadn’t been able to react swiftly. Moreover, they had never been attacked even once for many years, so they had long since lost their sense of vigilance.

Moreover, Fealta and Caithy were part of Ephemella’s Royal Guard and possessed strength only inferior to the Generals. Against people of such calibre, resistance was futile. It wasn’t even a fight, even though the enemies outnumbered them by five times.

“W-Who are you?” Realisation finally kicked into him as the boss stammered, looking at the sightly rotund lady that stood before him.

In response to his question, the lady flashed a cheerful smile, “Guess?”
