I Know The Secret To Surpass Level 100

Chapter 122 - The Man From The Lake

Connor watched as Cain gripped his head, his eyes bulging from their sockets and his flames fluctuating.

"C-Cain?" Connor called, slowly floating towards the man.

"Stop right there!" Cain yelled. He looked up, making Connor gasp after seeing the tears streaking from his eyes. "I'm a murderer."

"Hypnommunity Beast!" Geneva casted and fired the eel on top of Cain's head.

A large flaming sword was about to struck the eel when it was blocked by a large gray dragon. Hope wrapped his around himself and blasted them open, shaking everyone in the air off.

He had the others behind him, riding him and preparing to battle.

"The Supreme Dragon Emperor?" Monstrum gasped for a second. "So that's why I could feel that something was off. You're with the Terrans and the Heir– is that the Duke of Etheoria I feel? Dude, you have your father's look. You're both ugly!"

Ed scoffed and rolled his eyes. "I'm cute. What's he talking about?"

"Why are all you Eternals here?" Monstrum cackled. "This is funny considering I only wanted to rule over Inferno. But now that everyone's here, I can kill you all and rule over the four realms! With this, I can rule over even Heaven or Hell!"

"Like we'd let you," Connor said, letting Cain regain himself behind him. He crossed his weapons and let out a growl. "Infernal Blaze!"

He conjured the raging vortex of flames, directing them to Monstrum. The latter only struck his sword down, voiding the attack out of existence.

"Was that all you got? I expected more from the Heir," Monstrum said. "You would've both died earlier if it wasn't for that dragon. Now, I'll make sure to kill every single one of you."

"How much longer can you retain your God Mode?" Connor turned to Cain and asked.

"Seven more minutes," Cain said. "I don't think I can help you further after that."

"Seven minutes is all we need," Connor said. "Everyone! Let's do this!"

Hope flew behind them, flapping his wings as he carried the others in his back. They had already branished their weapons, preparing for Cain to give them an opening.

Cain conjured as many spears as he could, the number reaching to ninety and it was growint. He raised his hand in front of him but stopped when he saw that the enemy is missing.

"That's cute." With a blink of an eye, Monstrum was in front of them. His giant sword was wrapped with a surge of raging flames. "Unfortunately, your friendship will end here."

"Never," Lance said and flicked his swords, two of his ropes wrapping around Monstrum's wrists.

"What–"

The ropes were connected to Hope's legs. His friends leaned down as he twirled across the skies. Hope wae flying as fast as he can and doing as much turns as he could. Monstrum was being dragged behind them, unable to cut the ropes on his after experiencing extreme turbulence by how Hope was flying.

"This is so cool," Elliot cheered. "Hope, spin more!"

"You're enjoying this more than you should," Lance creased his brow and smirked.

"We're dragging the most powerful man in a Realm. With a dragon! What's not fun with that?" Elliot hollered.

He stood and cheered, screaming like he wasn't in a battle. Lance saw this and felt like this wasn't the Elliot he knew.

When Elliot branished his sword, Lance was worried. He looked at Elliot and gasp when he saw the blank pitch black eyes Elliot had on.

"He cancelled my immunity," Geneva yelled from the ground, pointing at the dragon that's dragging Monstrum. "His skill cancelled my immunity!"

"What?" Connor creased his brow, looking at Hope. "Geneva, who are you talking about?"

"Elliot!" Geneva yelled. "He cancelled his own protection."

Just as she said that, Elliot struck his sword down to Hope's back. Hope groaned and slowed down, descending to the ground while Lance reprimanded his hypnotized friend.

"Elliot!" Lance yelled, shaking him. "Elliot, wake up!"

"Too late," Monstrum stood and grinned. "I don't know what happened but good thing something inside him rejected the protection. Gave me an opening to disrupt the dragon."

Ed stood, raising his sword defensive. "Don't come any closer."

Monstrum mockingly raised his hands, a wide smirk was formed in his face. "I will not do anything. I don't have my sword, see."

"I said don't move," Ed said sternly.

"Ed, cancel the hypnotism. Switch with me," Lance said from behind him. Ed nodded and he wait for Lance to stood and point his swords at Monstrum before he kneeled down and pointed his sword at Elliot.

"Nullify," Ed casted. There was a whispering sound that hushed in the air, as a sign of the spell slowly dissipating. "Lance all good. Hope, are you okay?"

Hope noddeed, "The wound got smaller when I shifted back. I'm okay."

"Are we done?" Monstrum quirked his brow. "Because if we are…" he waved his hand and something was coming at them in full speed. "I'll continue with my kill."

His sword covered the sun above the group. It dashed through the trees ans flew right to him. He raised his hand and the sword fell right into his hands, him gripping it tightly and smirking.

"That was a fun ride, wasn't it? Now, let me give you a good time," Monstrum said and swung his sword.

"Black and White Annihilation!" Lance casted and fired his beams to block the sword.

As both the attacks clashed, they battled for dominance. A battle of the beams and a flaming sword ensued. They continued their fight, both not showing any sign of giving up.

"How did you end up here?" Cain asked Connor. "You're Terran, why are you the Heir?"

They were flying to where the others were, rushing after what Geneva had told them about Elliot.

"I don't know," Connor replied. "I was killed and brought back to life numerous times. And every time I die, the Priestess would comfort me and take the flames from the Cauldron and let me absorb it. Damn Hope flew too far. How about you? What happened?"

"I killed my brother," Cain said. "I was hypnotized by Monstrum and made me stab Abel."

"So, it's not your fault?" Connor asked.

Cain shook his head, "But I always feel guilty because of it."

Connor was about to respond when a figure flew past them, heading towards Elliot and the gang at an alarming speed.

"What was that?" Connor gasped.

The battle between Monstrum and Lance was cut short when the figure got in between them, striking his body to the ground as four different elemental orbs floated around him.

"I have found you." The man walked over to Lance's direction.

"Why did you interrupt us–"

Monstrum was cut off when his arms were ripped from his body. His eyes widened when he saw the man was in front of him, holding his arm.

"I don't need you," the man said and kicked Monstrum in the face, blowing him away where he crashed to a tree. "I only need…"

"Y-You!" Elliot jolt awake after feeling the familiar presence. "It's you. The Man from the Gray Lake."

"I have come for us to reunite once more, April!"
