I Know The Secret To Surpass Level 100

Chapter 216 - Draconic Anthem

It was the day they've all been waiting for, the day before the Championship of the Greats.

They all agreed that the participants would ride Hope and two more dragons, Metallion and Florian. They both agreed to meet them and let the group ride them to the capitol. Midnight would come later on to settle things first.

They did this so the participants would still have time to rest before the competition. They didn't have the time to finalize with Frederick's training, but the guild master said they were ready.

"Are we really?" Ed found himself asking. "I mean, we were nothing compared to Galaxia's guild."

Elliot smacked the back of his head and sighed, "You have no trust in our guild? I haven't even added Aki and Minos to our party and their power are already close to us."

Lance quirked his brow up, "You now call Aquarius, Aki?"

"He told me to call him that," Elliot pouted. "Whatever. I'll add them, Ethan, and George to our party soon. Let them enjoy the boost."

"Okay," Lance and Ed said. Connor was with George and Ethan who were riding Mettalion, while Aquarius and Minos rode Florian.

Among all the Dragon Emperors, was the largest. He was followed by Mettalion, then Pixie the Poison Dragon, Florian, and then Volt the electric dragon. The fallen Dragon Emperors' successors were still in their training process, meaning they were still not capable of earning the titles.

"We're almost there," Hope announced. Elliot was gonna respond when he realized that Hope wasn't talking to them. "We need to land on the empty fields nearby as to not trigger the Strike Tower. Is that okay?"

Florian roared and Metallion only released a low growl. Elliot was still amazed by how they could understand Hope in his dragon form when others can't, but they cannot understand any other dragon.

"Is it because of the party?" Elliot asked himself. "I'll try later."

It didn't take much long before they finally arrived at the drop point. As Hope said, it was a large empty fields that were covered with tall trees around. It was more of a clearing now that Elliot looked at it. The surrounding trees formed a dense forest all around the small field of grass.

"We're here," Hope said and dove down. His claws reached the ground, placing them gently as he steadied his wings.

Ed, who was sitting the furthest, was the one who hopped off first. Lance followed and finally, Elliot. When Hope started to shift back, Elliot stopped him.

"I wanna try something," Elliot said. He turned to Mettalion who had Ethan and George come down. "Hey Ethan, accept my party invite."

Ethan nodded and did as was told. Elliot then turned to Hope and instructed him to say something. The dragon was confused at first but he just did as was told.

"Did you understand that?" Elliot asked Ethan.

The latter tilted his head and pursed his lips, "I don't think I do. I only heard a growl coming from him."

"A growl, huh?" Lance knit his brows and looked at Elliot. "It's only us that seemed to understand him."

'Beast Tame condition.'

Elliot jolted after seeing the message in his Console. He read the message and slowly nodded, finally understanding.

[ Beast Tame

// When a beast is tamed by The Creator, the beast will gain a human form. The Creator and the party members who had been in the party for more than 30 days shall enjoy this shall understand the beast's speech in their true form. ]

"Oh," Elliot formed an O with his mouth. He just remembered the notifications he got when he first morphed Hope. It said that he could use the skills of Hope, but then he couldn't see the skills in his list.

"We're all set," Lance said to Elliot, but the latter was too immensed in his Console.

The others thought it would be better if they let him be, so they let Elliot do his thing. He was rummaging through his Console and was in deep thought, eyes narrowing as he read the words on the blue box in his vision.

"So, why is that?" Elliot asked himself and saw a small dragon icon on the side. He scrunched his face in confusion and clicked on the icon, only to see that it was a list of Hope's skills.

<< Dragon Force >>

<< Dragon Morph >>

<< True Dragon Form: Supreme Dragon Emperor >>

Most of the items on the list were in gray, meaning Elliot couldn't use them. The only ones he could utilize were two skills.

<< Draconic Anthem >>

Passive/Active (This skill needs to be casted beforehand.)

Cost: 0 MP

// The user can communicate with dragons even when the user is in Human Form.

<< Formidable Parry >>

Cost: 600 MP

// The user can block any attack inflicted by the enemy when the enemy has equal or lower power level with the user.

Elliot nodded and scrolled through the skills. Most of Hope's skills were focused on blocking and resisting damage. This was a tank-y type of set of skills, and considering Hope has the largest build among them right now, he can be their tank.

Elliot scrolled through his recipe list for his Forging and found the Supreme Dragon Emperor Set. He scanned the stats and realized the boost were mainly focused on the defense and skill cooldown reduction.

"This skill set isn't for me," Elliot whispered to himself.

"Elliot, you're spacing out again," Ed said. "Come on. We have to walk to Solaguer."

Hope had already morphed back and was being dragged by Connor. The others were also further away from them and Ed left Elliot to follow them.

"I'll follow you," Elliot said and he turned to the two dragons behind them. They both bowed at him and he bowed back. "Okay, Draconic Anthem."

"Thank you."

Elliot's eyes widened after hearing Metallion spoke. He was amused and surprised that the skill actually worked.

"Take care of Hope for us." Elliot heard Florian spoke.

He raised his head and gasped after seeing the smirks up their lips. He spun and saw that everyone was at a distance from them and their conversation will be unheard of even by Hope.

"Okay," Elliot responded and bowed again. "I will."

"Elliot!" Connor yelled from the edge of the field. "Let's go!"

"Coming!" With one last glance at the two dragons, Elliot waved his hand and turned, running to his friends and into the forest.

"So, how far is Solaguer from here?" Elliot asked.

He waited for a few seconds but no one seemed to listen to him. He was gonna grunt when Lance shoved a tree branch out of the way, a light piercing through and hitting Elliot in the face.

"We're almost there," Lance said. When Elliot had adjusted to the light, he could only gasp when he saw the large city below them. They were standing on a cliff, a few hours walk from the city.

"It's beautiful," Elliot gasped.
