I Know The Secret To Surpass Level 100

Chapter 407 - The Generals

Their eyes widened as they watched the beacon lit up the skies. It wasn't as bright as the beacon when Junko was awakened, but it was still visible even from afar.

"Oh, no!" Guan Yin yelled, finishing off the man who fired the beacon. "Qishan, you f*cking idiot!"

"Now Licht knows that we're still here," Kaminari said. "We need to get everyone out right this second."

Guan Yin unbuttoned her jacket, making the boys get flustered. She rolled her eyes and removed her jacket, tying it to her waist.

"Now that is cool," Junko smirked after seeing the woman with a black wife beater. She ripped her pants, revealing a pair of leather shorts underneath. "And it just got even cooler."

Guan Yin looked up to see the boys looking away. She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You're all babies."

The woman raised her hands in the air, revealing a tattoo on her wrist. It was an intricate tattoo of a red spear. She waved her hands, her aura seething out of her skin as she summoned her weapon.

"This is so much better," Guan Yin sighed. "Let's go evacuate. Kaminari, where is the safest and nearest place from here?"

"The Collosal's Rift up north," Kaminari said. "We can get there on foot, and there's a safe hiding spot there so the folks can rest."

"Good," Guan Yin said. "Take them there. I'll go delay the soldiers. Licht's army will most likely come from the south."

"You cannot fight them all alone," Elliot spoke. "Lance and I will stay here with you. Ed, Connor, help Kaminari with Junko and the Shyakans. We need them to leave as early as possible."

Connor was smirking, making Elliot quirk his brow up, "What?"

"Nothing, it's just…" Connor trailed off. "You look like a different person when you're commanding. You're a big boy now, Elliot. I'm so proud of you."

"Don't be too dramatic or else I'll punch you in the guts," Elliot snickered playfully. "Now, go. We will take care of the Diamond Emperor's army. They can't be that–"

A hand was immediately placed over his mouth. Elliot pouted while Ed had a deadpan expression on his face, "If there's anything I have learned, it's to never jinx something."

"R-Right," Elliot chuckled. "Now, go. We will plan and prepare."

"Yes, sir," the two boys chorused, dragging Kaminari away.

"Are you sure you don't want to come with them?" Guan Yin asked. "I have seen Licht's army. And they're not just some that you can easily deal with."

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can handle this," Elliot smiled. "We've been through a lot and this is nothing compared to that."

"I heard you had faced Malice yourselves," Guan Yin muttered. "Must've been a real nightmare."

Elliot hummed and shook his head, "It wasn't that bad. Malice was indeed strong, but if you only put that idea in your head then you will get a harder time fighting against her."

"In this world, I learned to be optimistic no matter what happens. No matter who I face, or how hard can they blow me away. I'll always stand back up and show them who's boss," Elliot spoke proudly.

His statement made Guan Yin shook her head in amusement. "You really are just a kid."

Elliot tilted his head to the side, baffled by the response, "What do you mean?"

Guan Yin pushed him to the side and ran forward. She leaped off of the ground and positioned her spear as if she was going to throw a javelin. "Bloody Mercy!"

Making her spear light up with a red burning aura, Guan Yin fired a giant spear made of magic to the skies. Lance and Elliot looked at each other, wondering what the woman was doing.

"They're already here!" Guan Yin yelled.

Her attack went past the clouds and created a loud booming sound of clashing on wood and metal. This caught everyone in the city's attention, making them look up, only to see a giant ship slip past the clouds.

"What is that?"

"That's from the Diamond Emperor! Look at the sigil!"

"We're done for!"

The people started to panic. They were running around while Kaminari, Connor, and Ed try to calm them down.

"This is bad," Guan Yin said. "I never thought they were just watching us."

"What do you mean?" Elliot asked. "They have always known that we're here?"

Guan Yin looked at him and slowly nodded, "It's impossible for even the fastest ship to come here that quick. They must have been watching us from over there."

Elliot and Lance brandished their weapons and stared at the ship who stopped moving. It stayed on the air, suspended like the engines had stopped.

"They're gonna bomb us!" Guan Yin yelled. "The bombs will be fired!"

Lance leaped off of the ground and into one of the roofs. He stretched his arms and crossed his swords, "Dual Slash of Black and White."

The boy spun twice. In each of the times, he would shoot gigantic crescent-shaped attacks at the airship. His attacks were flying towards the ship when a magic circle blocked it. This made Lance's eyes widened.

"Impossible!" Lance gasped. "Those were highly dense attacks."

"Lance!" Elliot yelled. "Guan Yin said that we need to infiltrate. The ship is fully fortified with magical attacks."

"But Guan Yin hit her attacks," Lance said. "Why is that?"

Guan Yin jumped to Lance's side and showed him her spear. "This weapon is made from the metal extracted from a volcano. It shoots out attacks that are converted into true damage. But the conversion will consume half then initial power, so I can't destroy it."

"I need that kind of weapon," Lance chuckled. They waited for Elliot to come to the roof with them. The three nodded at each other and flew to the ship.

"Loving Thrust!" Guan Yin yelled and thrust her weapon forward. It reached the shield of the ship, creating a small crack in which they easily slipped through and entered.

"That was fairly easy," Lance chuckled. They hopped inside the ship, seeing no one on board.

"Now for the hard part," Guan Yin said.

"What hard part?" Elliot gulped after feeling an eerie aura surround them.

"Every emperor has two circles of generals, the outer branch and the inner branch," Guan Yin said. "The outer branch is the weaker group of generals while the inner branch is the stronger. I'm from Du Du's outer branch, so now we have–"

Before she could finish, a voice of a crying woman had echoed the ship. They looked around to see where she was, but they failed to spot her.

"The Spectresses," Guan Yin whispered. "Licht's generals, the female phantom soldiers. I didn't want to face them since my true damage can't deal with them."

The crying woman stopped. The ship became quiet again. Only the constant creak of the wooden floorboards and the occasional groaning of the rusted bolts could be heard.

"Why…" Elliot whispered. "Why is it so cold?"

Not a second later, an ear-piercing shriek shook the entire ship. From the cracks of the floor seeped out a dark green aura, and forming four women in front of them.

"The Spectresses," Guan Yin said, raising her spear.. "Licht's b*this."
