Chapter 408 - Formosa
Four women came out of the shadows, walking closer to the group. All four of them wore similar right black leather bodysuits with a belt that had weapons in them.
A black hood made a shadow to cover their faces but their glowing bright green eyes shone through. There were also two straps of leather behind them that was connected to small knives a the bottom.
"These women are very dangerous," Guan Yin said. "Take care of yourself, or else you'll die easily."
"Right," Lance said. He raised his blades and spun. "Dual Black and White Cries!"
His swords glowed with their colors, following the direction of his spin. Lance turned a couple more times before he stopped and thrust his weapons forward, shooting a tornado made of black and white aura.
He was targeting one of the Spectresses. She shook her head and her eyes made it look like she was laughing. The woman simply ran to the side, letting the attack slip past her.
"As expected," Lance said. "If they are phantoms, meaning they are weak to elemntal attacks."
"That's my problem," Guan Yin said. "I deal true damage, but these b*tches are immune to that."
"I thought true damage ignores any type of shield?" Elliot asked. "Isn't that the thing or I'm just thinking stuff?"
"No, you're right," Guan Yin said. "But phantoms are immune to physical damage. It's useless when you deal ten times their shield, since they don't have any shield in them."
"Makes sense," Elliot pursed his lips. An idea popped inside his head and he opened his Console. "Cover me."
Lance nodded and crossed his swords. "Black and White Fortress!"
The man erected his shield. A thick cube of bricks made from his magic. He looked at Elliot who was tweaking with his Console, "What are you doing?"
"We need all help we can get," Elliot said. He tapped in the air and a spear suddenly took form. He looked up to see Guan Yin's eyes widen. "Take it."
"What magic is this?" the woman asked. "But you have a different affinity. This is-"
"Not the time to talk," Elliot cut her off. "We have enemies to fight. We defeat them, and then we talk, okay?"
Guan Yin nodded. She stored her old spear back and spun her new spear. "Let's fight then."
The shield was deactivated and the Spectresses jumped in unison. They were screeching while raising their daggers, prowling towards the three.
"Loving Shoot!"
A pink aura covered Guan Yin's spear. She pointed her weapon at one of the Spectresses and shot her attack like she was using a gun.
The Spectress yelled and slashed through the attack. She landed in front of Guan Yin and swung her arm, trying to hit her, but failed. The general turned to the side, swiftly hacking her spear and piercing through the Spectress's chest.
"Oh, no," Guan Yin gasped. The Spectress's head turned to her direction with a wide grin plastered on her lips.
"Nice try, traitor," she said. She kicked Guan Yin on the stomach that made the latter scrape the blade of her spear across her opponent's chest. "My name is Viola, and I'm the leader of the gang."
"And I don't care," Guan Yin snickered. "Leader my *ss. You're all equal to Licht's eyes. You're just worthless pawns for him. And you willingly suck his d*ck like it was candy."
"How dare you?!" all the Spectresses yelled. They ran to each other, holding their hands and chanted something under their breaths.
"Guan Yin, what are you doing?" Elliot gasped. "You provoked them, and now they're mad."
"Yes," Guan Yin chuckled. "But I also made our jobs much easier."
The four women started glowing with a purple light. They walked closer to each other and their bodies merged, creating one giant woman.
"Behold the power of the Outer Generals!" the giant Spectress yelled. Her voice sounded like all the women speak at the same time, but had a sinister eho behind it. "Spectral Form Formosa!"
"Formosa?" Guan Yin laughed. "That's the ugliest name I've ever heard."
"Guan Yin!" Elliot gasped. "Don't provoke them even more or else, we're doomed."
Guan Yin rolled her eyes and shrugged, "The angrier one is, the easier it is to bring them down. I bet this b*tch moves super slow–"
Before she could finish, Formosa disappeared in a flash. Guan Yin took a couple of steps forward and was immediately knocked away by a floating fist.
But it only looked like a floating fist. It was actually a punch from Formosa, but her body is hidden somewhere.
The general's body crashed into a wooden crate. She coughed blood after she it the crate, her body stinging at the impact.
"Oh, now I remember their ability," she said as she tried to collect herself from the crash. "They can turn invisible. This was why we don't play hide and seek."
"Silence!"
Guan Yin was slapped by a giant hand to the side of the boat. This time, her body crashed to the wooden railing, making her groan in even more pain.
"Guan Yin–"
"Stop," Lance raised his hand to the side when Elliot wanted to interrupt.
"Lance what are you doing?" Elliot tried to nudge his friend's arm. "She's gonna die if we just let her be."
"She's not," Lance whispered. "Feel the aura coming from Guan Yin. Don't tell me you don't feel that?"
Elliot stopped after getting what his friend was telling him. He slowly nodded and just felt the boiling aura coming from the deepest part of Guan Yin. She looked at them and winked, slowly standing back up again.
"Oh, how pathetic," Guan Yin sighed. "I bet the emperor wanted for the men to stay and you guys to fight so he can indulge in them. I always see Licht as… fruity."
Formosa appeared and she screamed on top of her lungs. This made the entire ship shake, some wooden part even breaking from the force of the scream.
"Emperor Licht is a man who enjoys the company of girls!" Formosa yelled. "How could he do such disgusting thing like you're saying?!"
"Because he's already doing it," Guan Yin grinned. "And you're just too sad to accept the truth. Accept the truth, girl. He's never gonna turn your way because he's totally whipped for the other team."
"That's enough!" the six hands of Formosa formed into six swords. She was waving all of them in the air and in a split second, shooting one of them through Guan Yin's stomach.
"No!" Elliot yelled. "Guan Yin!"
"Elliot, stop!" Lance pulled his friend away before he would come closer. "Just watch."
"Watch what, Lance?!" Elliot yelled. "Watch her die."
"Guan Yin, is a name of a diety," Lance said. "I saw it in your book. She's a goddess of love right?"
"So?" Elliot quirked his brow up. "What does that mean?"
Lance looked at Guan Yin who was slowly twitching, "Have you noticed how she always use her weapons in reverse? Maybe her magic operates that way too. The opposite of love."
"I hate you!" Formosa yelled, and in a blink of an eye, her head was rolling to the floor.
