Chapter 71 - The Battle For Etheoria Part 1
Biankka's army arrived at the outskirts of the city where they engaged the battle with the Adventurers. The Black Knights seemed to be at least on Rare-rank Adventurer. It was a relief for Frederick that most the Adventurers in Alorde wasn't a beginner. Since the city had less beasts, it became a base for high-ranking Adventurers who wanted to settle their base in peace.
Luck was desperate to get out of Biankka's grasp. For the others, they didn't hear what Biankka told Luck. But for him, he wanted to get out of there.
As he struggled to get out of her grip, Ed was at the brink of unconsciousness. He was failing to contain the magic of the Eternal Chaos Sword, the intense magic coming from it were slipping from his Nullification.
"You will be wielded by me!" Ed screamed. He gripped the sword with his right hand and did his best to push the power back.
"You're too late!" Biankka yelled. "You had the chance to contain the power within the sword but you did not do it."
"I didn't know it was done, you b*tch!" Ed fired back. Biankka scoffed but laughed.
"Oh, pathetic. Haavok, pathetic." Biankka trailed he hand on Luck's jaw. "Look at that boy. He will die soon. He will be overpowered by the sword and his body will break into pieces."
Luck felt the Biankka's "biggest snake" retreat down. He gulped and whistled wildy, casting all spells he could cast until the snakes loosened around him. He gripped his sword and slashed the crawlers off of him, making him land on the ground and fired his air spheres at Biankka.
She laughed and opened her legs, revealing a large metal snake running from her legs up to her stomach. The snake was the size of her thigh, slithering among the smaller ones as Biankka caressed it and let it glide through her arm.
"Diablo, kill!"
The metal snake launched itself from Biankka's arm to Luck. The man flipped from the ground, letting the snake hit the ground before firing his attacks.
Diablo coiled, letting the air spheres hit its body, completely unaffected by it. Diablo was about to attack again when its body was raged with scorching blue flames. Even from afar, the flames from Frederick seemed more intense.
"Hellfire Blue."
"Diablo!" Biankka screamed as she watched her pet melt its metal skin. When the metal was liquefied, the snake showed a soft skin inside. Instead of scales, it had a green flesh-like skin.
Luck slammed his sword through the snake's head, killing it while staring Biankka in the eyes.
"Y-You…" Biankka trailed off and grit her teeth. The snakes around her body seemed to slither faster, coiling around her body endlessly but were not choking her. "I will kill all of you!"
The snakes multiplied around Biankka, covering her entire body with snakes. Her size seemed to get larger while the snakes dug through her skin.
Biankka emerged from the ball of serpents with her new form. Her lower body was now that of snake. Her dress became a tight body suit that had a wide slit in the middle, almost exposing her breasts. The suit was made of scales that seemed to be an extension of her lower serpet form.
"Now you will respect the Duchess," she said and pointed her palm at the Adventurers. Snakes popped out her arm and opened their mouths, firing a series of loud screams.
A purple beam clashed with Biankka's attack, the vortex made of screams ceased upon impact. The beam caused the screams to be slashed in half and pierce through. Biankka waved her arms in the air and fired several snakes that coiled with themselves in the air, creating a shield against the attack.
"Ed!" Elliot yelled that made everyone turn their heads to Ed's direction.
The Eternal Chaos Sword was raised, pointing at Biankka. The hand that held it was covered with small purplish black hands with sharp pointed nails.
The hands traveled up to Ed's shoulder but seemed to stop there. Ed was panting as he forced himself to control the power. He yelled and his body glowed with a pale purple light. The light made the small hands bury down Ed's arm, making it look grotesqued. It looked like it was full of black scars that made bumps and grooves all over his arm.
"You failed to push the power back to the sword so you contained it in your arm," Biankka said. "How smart. But pathetic!"
Biankka pointed both her palms at Ed. The snakes swerved in front, opening their jaws as wide as they could and produced another ear piercing shriek, but this time, it was more powerful.
"You don't know anything else but to scream," Ed chuckled. He let out a deep sigh and disappeared from where he stood. He reappeared in front of Biankka, smirking as he sliced of all her snake's head in one go.
This made the woman grit her teeth and yell, blowing Ed back who immediately regained his composure.
"Now I'm mad!" Biankka growled and summoned more snakes. The serpents traveled down her body endlessly once more, making her shiver with the power. "The Queen of Hell provided me plenty of power. This should be enough to kill all of you."
Elliot felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Frederick.
"The cursed dragons had appeared again. No one can handle it but us. Can we leave this woman to your party?" he asked, tying his shoulder length hair to a bun.
"Of course," Elliot nodded.
"Good," Frederick grinned. Blue flames started to travel from his shoes up to his arm. "We'll take care of the army. You take care of that b*tch."
He launched himself off the ground and levitated in the air along with Midnight who was in his morphed form. They nodded at each other before blasting to the dragons.
Midnight roared and tackled one dragon to the ground. He latched his lion-like fangs to the dragon's neck and cracked it. Midnight flinched, feeling the curse but only shook the pain away. He saw two more dragons and he dashed towards them without hesitation.
Frederick was tracing a flaming star in the air in front of a dragon. He placed his fingers on each of the star's point and twisted his wrist. The star rotated, expanding to match Frederick's height. It started to engulf and fired a raging beam of blue flame.
"Starfire Burn."
The beam swallowed the dragon whole, not leaving a trace on the ground.
Frederick gulped as he felt the curse travel down his body. "Pathetic."
Luck whistled as a dark green aura coated his sword.
'The Bard's Dark Tales.'
He slashed his sword and fired the aura to a dragon. It slashed the dragon in half effortlessly, dissipating right after it killed its target.
On the other side of the battle, Sun used his wings to knock back several enemies. He dashed through the fields just the height of the horses, using his wings to topple the mounts. He flew up and opened his wings, unveiling a bright light that blinded the opposing army.
Alice Crest, the dubbed strongest female Adventurer levitated in the air. Her eyes glowed white as she waved her staff in the air.
"Divine Destruction!"
The sky was filled with white glowing orbs. The orbs fired rapid beams to the dragons, weakening them. Sun finished the dragons off, slashing his sword and chopping their heads into two.
"Purify!" Alice casted onto Sun, removing the curse. "I just got this skill from my father. He doesn't want the curse to get to me."
"Must be nice to have a noble as a father, huh?" Sun grinned and continued their attack.
Alice rolled her eyes, "Whatever."
Alice was the support, barraging the white beams against the dragons to weaken them. Sun would end the beasts' lives with his sword and would be purified by Alice after.
Meanwhile, two clashing forces shook the ground with their intense stengths. Alice would fire her unearthly screams and Ed would block it with his newfound powers.
"Black and White Annihilation!" Lance fired his signature destructive move. The ones he used to kill Cannibals instantly.
"Petty," Biankka smirked and fired snakes who recoiled around each other to form a shield. The snakes were slithering in an incredible speed. The tremendous friction they created would block the attack effoetlessly. "Try again."
"Infernal Cremation!"
Connor crossed his staff and his sword and blasted a raging surge of flames. The flames took form of a humanoid's upper body with large horns and sharp claws. It slammed itself to Biankka's shield but still wasn't able to penetrate the seemingly impregnable protection.
"You have the Eternal Chaos Sword, why don't you use it?" Biankka taunted that Ed fell right into.
He dashed towards the woman and raised his sword, making it glow a dark purple light and cover itself with a tornado-like aura around itself. "Eternal Chaos Strike!"
Biankka added more snakes to her shield. The snakes were forming a large dome over Ed and it was coming for him, trying to swallow him whole. By the time the man knew what Biankka was doing, the snakes had formed a sphere around him.
He fired his attack on the snakes but failed. The snakes started to retreat to Biankka, making the sphere smaller.
"Hasty Aspire!"
Elliot leaped and hacked his sword on the snakes, successfully cutting a slit behind Ed. "Get out!"
Elliot and Ed landed on the ground, both panting. The former looked at his notification and re-read the latest message.
