Chapter 65.2 The Parlor Lord Is as Petty as They Come (2/2)
“We have arrived at Divine Dragon Island. Let’s get ready to disembark!” someone cried out.
The demons packed some things and left the ship, still surrounding the unwilling Wang Ke.
Another group of demonic sect disciples was already waiting at the dock. The one leading them was a fat, middle-aged man who was grinning from ear to ear.
“That’s the Chapter Lord of the Divine Dragon Chapter, Tong An’an. He’s in charge of all matters on the island!” a demon explained to Wang Ke.
“That’s the highest authority of this island?” Wang Ke made note of the man’s appearance.
“Divine Dragon Island, Tong An’an, welcome Parlor Lord Zhu!” Tong An’an bowed toward the huge ship from a distance.
Then, the cabin door opened. The pale-looking Zhu Hongyi walked out slowly, carrying an unconscious She Miejue in his arms.
She Miejue escaped death after her injuries were treated for a few days, but she was still unconscious. Zhu Hongyi was also in a very bad mood.
“Parlor Lord, allow me. Let me help you!” Tong An’an jumped onto the deck and went to help Zhu Hongyi with the carrying.
“There’s no need!” Zhu Hongyi said indifferently as he avoided Tong An’an.
“Oh, okay. Right, sorry about that. Parlor Lord, I received news a few days ago and made the necessary arrangements. Parlor Lord, let’s enter the island!” Tong An’an entreated Zhu Hongyi with a grin.
“Sure.” Zhu Hongyi nodded coldly.
Tong An’an instantly summoned a colony of bats by clapping his hands. Black Qi enshrouded the little beasts, and they transformed into a black, platform-like cloud. Zhu Hongyi, Tong An’an, and the others boarded it.
“Move out!” Tong An’an waved his hand.
“Hold on!” Zhu Hongyi shouted coldly.
Everyone was stunned by the sudden interjection.
They could see Zhu Hongyi scanning all the demons with his eyes.
Wang Ke had already blended in the crowd, but he still failed to evade Zhu Hongyi’s condemning eyes, which had locked onto him like pointing knives.
“Wang Ke? Do you plead guilty?” Zhu Hongyi asked with a chilling voice.
He blamed Wang Ke for trying to kill She Miejue. Zhu Hongyi had solely been focused on saving her, so he spared no time to settle accounts with Wang Ke. But now, it was time.
“The Parlor Lord is blaming me for trying to kill Miss She Miejue?” Wang Ke laughed bitterly.
“What do you think?” Zhu Hongyi replied.
“Parlor Lord, you can’t blame me for this!”
“Yeah, Parlor Lord, all of us would have died if not for him!”
“This also benefited you, Parlor Lord. If Wang Ke hadn’t acted, you might have been…!”
“Parlor Lord, Wang Ke is innocent!”
……………………
………………
……
The demons defended Wang Ke.
Tong An’an stood behind Zhu Hongyi; he was curious about who Wang Ke was. Who is this guy? Why do so many demonic disciples plead in his defense? They even dared to talk back to the Parlor Lord? This has never happened before.
Zhu Hongyi ignored all the demons’ pleas. A murderous aura beamed out without restraint through his eyes.
Seeing that the situation had become life-threatening, Wang Ke cried out immediately, “Parlor Lord, I saved everyone, including you. I don’t understand why you want to kill me! I did nothing wrong! No one has a true reason for wanting to kill me! Including you, Parlor Lord! I saved you, but now you want to kill me? If it goes as you wish, then who will care to save one another in our demonic sect from here on out? Who would willingly shed blood for the sake of the demonic sect? The only person who can kill me is She Miejue! And only because I sabotaged her master plan! I think she’ll go after me relentlessly after she wakes up! If you want me to die, you only need to let She Miejue come at me herself!”
Wang Ke no longer dared to speak the truth of what had happened back then. No one would plead his case if he did; he could only drag things out by suggesting that only She Miejue had the right to kill him!
Indeed, Zhu Hongyi agreed with narrowed eyes, “You’re right! The person who hates you the most is Qing’er; she would have no one to vent her rage on if I killed you. I shall wait then. Put Wang Ke behind bars! Keep him there until Qing’er wakes up!”
“Parlor Lord!” The demons wanted to continue pleading for Wang Ke.
“Do you think you have a say in this?” Zhu Hongyi threw them a stare.
“Understood! We will obey the Parlor Lord’s orders!” The demons lowered their heads in submission.
Wang Ke was taken aback. That’s all?Aren’t you going to plead a bit more persistently? At least ask for a single room for me!
What happened to ‘mention my name’ if I’m ever in trouble? You guys were scared off with his stare alone? Can I still put my hopes in you?Bullsh*t saviors! All the grateful things you guys said were music to my ears… Looks like you were using me to boost your own reputation.
“Ancestral uncle, Wang Ke, Wang Ke, he…!” The badly bruised Zhu Yan wanted to take the opportunity to expose Wang Ke.
“Zhu Yan? Who turned you into a demon without my permission? And why is your face like that! You don’t even look human! Hmm?” Zhu Hongyi said disapprovingly.
Zhu Yan only wanted to expose Wang Ke. He did plan on drawing trouble his way.
“Imprison Zhu Yan as well, in the same room as Wang Ke! Humph!” Zhu Hongyi gave the instruction.
“Ancestral uncle!” Zhu Yan could not believe his ears.
Zhu Hongyi merely turned his back and ignored him. Tong An’an waved his hand, and the bats carried them into the deeper region of the Divine Dragon Island.
Wang Ke and Zhu Yan were tied up in chains by the demons from the island. None of them tried to advocate for him anymore. None of them would count as loyal friends, and Wang Ke placed his hopes on them, for nothing!
“Wang Ke… Ahh, you can’t blame us; the Parlor Lord has made his decision. We would be risking our lives if we plead any further. You don’t know this, but the Parlor Lord is extremely petty! He really is one to hold a grudge!” a demon whispered to Wang Ke.
Wang Ke: “………………………..!”
Before Wang Ke could reply—Zhu Hongyi flung a chain at the secretive demon from the black cloud.
“Ahhh, have mercy, Parlor Lord! I’m sorry!” that demon cried out in shock.
“Booooom!”
There was a loud sound, then the chain knocked the demon, making him fly backward. A stream of blood shot out from his mouth, which rained down onto the Miasmic Sea.
The chain used to attack the demon flew back toward Zhu Hongyi; it circled him a few times, then flew back into his sleeves and disappeared.
Wang Ke could only watch the faraway Zhu Hongyi with a slack jaw. This Zhu Hongyi… He really is as petty as they come!
