[Plot]
"The two pests?"
"Done and deal with."
Cain leaned and crossed his legs, tapping his slender fingers on his knee.
Cold sweat broke out from the pale woman's face as she met Cian's frosty gaze. "Young master, about the person spreading the rumors. How should we proceed?" she said, voice full of respect.
Even on the other side of the screen, every nerve in her body tingled at the murderous air emanating from Cain.
"Leave it . . . for now."
She sensed her young master's hesitation and dissatisfaction in letting the matter off. It couldn't be helped since the one spreading the rumors belong to the same upper echelon as her young master. And . . . a longtime family friend.
"As you wish. Young master, about that Rowan guy?"
Cain typed something on his phone.
After seconds, she received an e-mail. She read the contents and bowed.
"It will be done."
And the screen turned black.
"Four, what did young master said?"
Four stared at the seductive temptress across her, and a wicked smile stretched her lips.
"You're up."

"Elder Cousin, what should I do?! Cain doesn't like me! He doesn't even want to see me!" Holley's pearl-like tears fell from her face.
After she filed a leave from school, she stalked Cain since three days ago, hoping to see him. She wanted to have a 'sweet' encounter with him, but even with his elder cousin's help –– Cain remained elusive as ever.
He eluded her like a deadly plague. She advanced, he retreated. She chased, he avoided. There was no 'sweet' interaction at all, let alone trapping him!
She was no fool. Cain didn't want to see her. And she couldn't accept this!
She refused to accept it!
Arthur Goldwood enveloped her in a gentle embrace.
"Cousin, relax. Although he can escape you these past few days, tonight is the night that we will finally corner him."
Arthur wiped the tears from Holley's face and raised her chin to meet his eyes.
"Don't cry. Remember, you have to look your best."
"Is everything prepared already?"
Arthur grinned and grabbed a small box. Inside was a simple gold ring with a single white pearl as decoration. The pearl was so tiny, making it unnoticeable at first glance.
"The pearl is the drug. Push the pearl down to release it from the ring. Remember, it will take a while for the effects to surface. Just do what I've told you to do and everything will go smoothly."
Holley stared at Arthur, a bit unsure. "Will Cain take the bait?"
Arthur's expression turned a deep shade darker. "I've already contacted my inside man. Don't worry, Cain Fay will definitely take the bait."
Holley beamed a sweet smile.
She knew this was risky and a method born out of desperation, but she loves Cain for more than five years to give up now. She was not about to let some whore steal Cain from her.

[Phase 1]
"Boss, we are almost at Mr. Jones's estate." Cedrick cleared his throat before glancing at the man sitting leisurely in the backseat.
Cain's eyes were closed the whole ride. He didn't want to attend this pointless party. Now that his wife solved most of his problems, he didn't need to meet the man inside.
Cedrick, sensing Cain's thoughts, swiftly interjected, "Boss, you already gave your word."
Cain's brows twitched, and he forced his eyelids to open. "Russell, have him ready."
Russell grinned while Cedrick restrained shaking his head in disapproval.

When Cain arrived at the scene of the party, the hearts of every woman and even some men rippled.
Amidst the silent stares of the crowd, Cain strode in together with his bodyguard and secretary on both sides. He was dress in an elegant all-white tuxedo. His expression was icy as his eyes, disinterested at the happenings around him.
Every step he took affected the hearts of those present. There were people like him that just the mere presence caused the night to brighten and the moon to dim.
"Mr. Fay, we are honored by your attendance. Please come this way." Hawthorn Jones scrambled to his feet and made his utmost effort to please the cold man as he led him to a reserved table.
Although Hawthorn Jones was more than twice the age of Cain Fay, but like other older people facing the young man –– they couldn't help but lower themselves at Cain's dominance and imposing charisma. Cain's entire being emanated an aura of authority enough to awe everyone present.
"Cedrick, the contract," Cain said after he took his seat.
"Mr. Jones, if you're alright with the contract, can we have you sign it?" Cedrick said straight to the point and extended a folder to Hawthorn Jones.
Hawthorn Jones's eyebrows twitched. They already expected this would happen. The Fay's hate crowded and noisy places the most, but he had to stall for time. He already agreed to cooperate with the Goldwood's. What he would gain in return would double than what he would earn in his transaction with the Fay's.
"Mr. Fay, this is a rare occasion to have you here at my humble abode. Please take a second to enjoy the party." Hawthorn Jones could only make this excuse.
"It had already been a second." Cain stood from his chair, but the panicking old man stopped him.
"Mr. Fay, how about this, stay until dinner. It will only be minutes that the food will be served. After dinner, we can discuss the contract."
Cain's face remained paralyze as he went back to his chair. Leaning in comfort, he said, "Alright."
Hawthorne Jones almost went on his knees in relief. "Thank you."
Wait, why am I the one who is thanking him in my party. In my own house? Hawthorn Jones mumbled in his thoughts.
He was puzzled as to why the elusive Cain Fay would agree to his condition to come to his party to negotiate. Maybe this business deal is crucial to him?
No matter, he would use this chance to advertise himself to the media and his peers, at the same time, making the Goldwood's owe him.
Sensing that Cain Fay didn't need him anymore, Hawthorn Jones quietly retreated.
The first phase of the plan was executed. Now for phase two.
Hawthorn Jones's lips twitched up in a twisted smile.. He could already taste the fruit of his labor after all of this was finish.
