Chapter 282 – Episode 282: I See You.

Everyone is gathered in the hall, Kingstar and everyone else is so excited about the news they received about Aspen's whereabouts. We all sit around the big roundtable and everyone is looking at Liu because he's the one who gave the information to all of us. Kingstar is swiping the screen in front of him and then rests his arms on the table.

"Tell us the details, Liu. How did you find Aspen's whereabouts while we are all already spent months looking everywhere."

Liu looks at each one of us and puts his hands in front of his mouth.

"A few days ago, there's a new player who just started playing the game. He traveled through all the villages, towns, empires, and kingdoms. He wasn't interested in playing the game in the first place and only play to waste time while enjoying the scenery. One day, he stopped by in one of the villages quite far from the Eluna Empire, I bet you all know the Dawnridge village, right?"

We all nod with understanding and then Liu continues while moving the cup of tea in front of him.

"He stopped by for the day because the Dawnridge village is his favorite place, but then he realized that the NPCs that live there, was somehow acting weirdly and so many NPCs that were no longer there. Because of his curiosity, he asked the NPCs around the village but none of them even remember anything. He was so confused that even the NPCs that he talked to before then used to greet him and recognize him. He thought that the game is bugged or something like that so he reported it to the devs but the replies surprised him that the NPCs over there are fine and nothing's wrong."

I look at Kingstar and he's just nodding with understanding then Liu takes a sip of his tea and continues.

"Coincidentally, the play is actually one of my members' uncle and he told him about it. He reported it to me and I immediately sent a group of players to check and observe the village for me, and the next day they came back and told me that they saw him. Aspen is and I will give you all the photos that they took."

Liu is sending the photos to us then I receive the notification and immediately open it. I see Aspen leaving a cabin with someone in front of him, a long brown-haired guy with a scar from his left forehead crossing down to his right jaw. Everyone is staring at the same photo and we have no idea who that person is, we don't know if that's a player or NPC since we can't tell the difference. I swipe to see another photo that Liu sent, I keep seeing Aspen walking behind that guy and I start to believe that this person is Baltizar's descendant. Ivonna is tapping her fingers on the table while staring at the photo in front of her, then he looks at Kingstar and the others while raising her eyebrow.

"I think we all can agree that the person in front of Aspen is Kalitzar?"

We all nod in agreement and Kingstar is flipping his hand while staring at all of us.

"Does anyone here have seen this guy before? I know that he's been hiding inside the Eluna Empire, but maybe any of you have seen him roaming around the empire?"

We all shake our heads while Kingstar is humming with understanding, then he looks at Liu and raises his eyebrow.

"What else did you find, Liu?"

Liu puts down the cup of tea and clears his throat.

"We found that the NPCs that living in the village right now have become the subject because most of them are originally not from there, and I believe those people that don't belong in the Dawnridge village are the people that went missing, lastly it's because of their odd behavior. I haven't confirmed it since I don't have all the data, and it's going to take a while to confirm it so I don't bother on doing so."

Diamond is crossing his arms while sighing.

"Well, if we want to make sure if that's true or not, we need to confirm it first. It doesn't matter how many that we can confirm, but one confirmation is enough to prove that those people have become a subject."

Lothair looks at Diamond and scoffs.

"Yeah? How are we going to do that? Aspen can tell if players are coming into the village and it will raise his suspicion because suddenly players are coming in and out to the village. It was very lucky for that player to notice everything and report it to Liu's clan member."

Ivonna looks at Lothair and tilts her head.

"We can actually…"

Everyone is looking at Ivonna while raising their eyebrows but then Ivonna looks at me and raises her eyebrows.

"We might need her help for this one."

Everyone is turning their heads toward me and staring at me with confusion, I look at Ivonna and nod with understanding.

"Okay, I will ask her for help now."

Ivonna nods with understanding, I stand up and look at them.

"Let's meet up near the Dawnridge village, I will bring help to confirm the missing people."

I open a portal and get inside it.

I'm standing in front of the Hebraum's Palace, I get inside and the royal guards are bowing at me. I immediately go to the second floor where Avriel is, I knock on the door and she opens it for me. She's surprised to see me in the middle of the day, and then she lets me in. Avriel sits on her desk while doing some paperwork, I look at her and raise my eyebrows.

"Are you busy?"

Avriel is staring at me while holding her quill, then she shakes her head.

"No, I'm just rearranging the documents and doing some other stuff, what's wrong?"

I approach her and sit on her desk.

"We found them."

Avriel's hand stops writing and immediately lifts her head to look at me.

"You found them? Where?"

I'm staring at the documents on the table then raising my eyebrows.

"He's in the Dawnridge village, and we believe that he's staying there with Baltizar's descendant and some of his subjects. But we aren't sure if those people are their subjects or not, so we need your help to confirm if those people that are staying in the village are the people that went missing."

Avriel puts the quill down and nods with understanding.

"Okay, when are we going to make a move?"

I look at her and nod.

"Right now. Bring some of your men with you and I will open a portal for us."

Avriel nods and she immediately stands up then walks toward the wall behind her. She knocks on the wall three times then she looks at me, I'm so confused, and then suddenly a group of people appears from the shadow behind me. I turn around to look at them and see their stats, these people are almost as strong as Avriel. Avriel walks past me and stands in front of her men then she turns around to look at me.

"Alright, we are ready to move."

I smirk and nod then open a portal near the Dawnridge village where everyone is waiting for me.

We are at the Robustes village which is not far from the Dawnridge village, I look around and everyone is here waiting for me. They all look at Avriel and the men behind her, Kingstar scoffs and looks at me while the others are still in awe whenever they see Avriel. Ivonna then walks to the front and looks at us.

"Shall we move?"

We all nod and march to the Downridge village.

(The next day.)

We are in the forest near the Downridge village, we have been observing the village for hours. A group of people is coming toward us and they're Liu's men, they're reporting that Aspen and Kalitzar are in there in one of the buildings. Avriel immediately orders her men to infiltrate the village silently and stealthily since I don't want Aspen nor Kalitzar to notice that they have been discovered by us. Avriel wants them to confirm if those NPCs in the village are in fact the people that went missing. Those men disappear and we are going to stay here and wait for them to return.

I climb up the tallest tree and look inside the village, it looks like a normal village from up here but behind it, there are so many dangerous people living in this peaceful village. Hans is sitting on the different tree near me, he's observing the village with his [Eagle Eyes]. Suddenly he's waving at me and then he's pointing at the cabin in the middle. I squint my eyes and look at what Hans' is pointing at, I smirk and scoff.

"I see you."
