Chapter 291 – Episode 291: A Friendly Giant.
Ivonna is standing next to Saintess Aria and holding her hands together while closing her eyes. The sound of the water moving and the chill wind hitting the trees are so calming, but deep down she feels a force that makes her feel uncomfortable. A feeling that praying to something that she doesn't know exist and it feels weird to pray to something or someone that is made by a human. She wants to open her eyes and see what Saintess Aria is doing but she just realizes she can't open her eyes as if she's already in a deep sleep.
Ivonna is so confused and the calming sound of her surroundings disappears as soon as she realizes that something is wrong. She finally can open her eyes but it's just darkness and nothing in it, she feels overwhelmed by fear and confusion. She looks around but she can't see anything, suddenly something inside her is glowing and slowly lighting up her surroundings. She's so confused about what's going on but then a notification appears in front of her.

A bright orb is coming out from inside her and it's floating around in front of her. She walks toward the orb but then it flies further, she follows the orb without knowing where it will lead her but she feels safe with that orb around her. She looks around but she can't see anything at all, she can only see the green grass under her feet. Ivonna thinks that she's in some kind of a plain, but why it's so dark here as if she's not allowed to see what's around her.
The orb stops floating and Ivonna approaches it then tries to touch it, the orb reacts to her touch and immediately gets back inside into her chest. Suddenly, the darkness is slowly getting lifted and she's starting to be able to see her surroundings. As she imagined, she's in the middle of a plain but then she notices that there's a weirdly giant house with a huge door that's ten times her height. She gulps and slowly walks toward the house, and when she touches the door, the ground is shaking and she immediately backs away because she knows that something is inside that giant house.
The door is opening and Ivonna immediately sees a giant hand and foot coming out from the house, she looks terrified but she tries to hold her breath so that thing won't notice her. A white-bearded giant with white braided hair comes out from the giant house, he's holding a gigantic battle axe and walks toward the wood chopping block. He grabs the wood and puts it on the block then cuts it half so cleanly but for Ivonna it sounds like a thunder strike and it startles her.
The giant is about to grab the wood but then he stops and freezes, he's slowly turning his head toward Ivonna, Ivonna is ready to turn around to run. The giant looks at Ivonna with a friendly gaze toward her, Ivonna is gulping and try not to make a sudden move since the giant looks friendly. The giant puts the battle axe on top of the block of chopping wood, he's slowly squatting down while leaning forward as if he's signaling Ivonna that he's not a dangerous person and won't hurt her. The giant is sitting down and crossing his legs, and then Ivonna is slowly walking toward him while keep staring at him and being on guard just in case the giant is going to do something to her.
The giant tilts his head and opens his mouth, he says something to her but Ivonna doesn't understand a single word that's coming out from his mouth. The giant is furrowing his forehead and realizes that Ivonna isn't understanding anything from what he said. The giant is pointing at the house and Ivonna looks at it, the giant says something again and Ivonna doesn't understand what's he saying. The giant is using body language and hoping that Ivonna might understand what he's saying, Ivonna looks at his body language and understands a bit that the giant is inviting her into the house. She walks toward the house and the giant is furrowing his head with confusion but then he stands up and walks toward the house.
The giant is leading her into the house, Ivonna is looking at all the furniture inside the house is also unbelievably gigantic. She looks at the chair and if she wants to sit on that chair, she has to climb it up like he's climbing a two stories building. The giant is offering his hand but Ivonna is gently declining his offer, she summons Aegis and rides on her back then they both flies up to the table. The giant is surprised and smiling with excitement, and when she gets down from Aegis' back, Aegis flies toward the giant and it surprises her. Aegis seems to like him even though he's a stranger, the giant is opening his hand while giggling happily at Aegis. The giant is so friendly toward Aegis, he's slowly and gently rubs Aegis with his index finger and Aegis seems to like it.
Aegis flies back to Ivonna's side while rubbing her face toward Ivoona's body, the giant is pointing at her and then puts his hand on his chest. Ivonna tilts her head with confusion but the giant is just smiling at her, the giant then stands up from the chair and grabs a piece of paper and a quill from the drawer. He walks back to the chair and sits down, he writes something on the paper and then slides the paper toward Ivonna so she can read it. She's looking at an unknown language or word, and it doesn't look like any letter she knows. She looks at the giant and shakes her head saying that she doesn't understand but the giant is nodding while pointing at the paper as if he's telling her to remember the words on the paper.
Ivonna thinks that Trevor might understand the words on the paper, she's trying to take a photo but the game won't allow her to do that so she copies the words in a note and draws the letters as similar as she can. The giant is staring at her with confusion but Ivonna is too focused on copying the content of the words on the paper. After she's done copying the words, she looks at the giant and nods with understanding. The giant smiles and nods back at her, he then points his finger at her and puts his hand on his chest again while keep smiling at her. Ivonna still doesn't understand what that means but she just nods at him, the giant smiles happily at her and then everything turns black again.
She's terrified of the darkness and slowly trying to walk since all she remembers is that she's standing on the table, and if she falls down she will be dead and she doesn't want that. She looks around and Aegis isn't with her anymore so she tries to summon her but Aegis won't respond to her calls. She's slowly walking forward and keeps on walking while being careful, she doesn't like what's she experiencing at all and want to go back as soon as possible.
Ivonna keeps walking forward but then she suddenly feels so cold under her feet, and the cold is slowly going up to her knees and thighs, then up to her waist. She's so confused but then she can hear the sound of water and the wind blows onto the branches and leaves. She's familiar with this feeling and she knows that she's back to the lake where she's praying with Saintess Aria. She sighs with relief and immediately feels at ease because now she feels safe.
Ivonna tries to open her eyes and she now can open them, she's smiling happily and looking to her right where Saintess Aria is at. Saintess Aria is pressing both of her hands close to her chest, Saintess Aria opens her eyes and looks at Ivonna while smiling, Ivonna smiles back at her and nods. Saintess Aria is furrowing her forehead and realizes that something is inside her hands so she's slowly pushing her hands away from her chest and she sees a big gemstone that looks like a diamond. Saintess Aria is crying while smiling happily, she looks up to the bright sky and closes her eyes while pressing her hands again onto her chest.
"Our prayers are answered, Lady Ivonna…"
Ivonna smiles and nods in agreement, then they both leave the lake and go back to the temple. Both Ivonna and Saintess Aria aren't saying a single word with what they have experienced during the prayer. Both of them are respecting each other's privacy and just keep walking through the forest in silence.
Ivonna sees Trevor is waiting for them outside the forest and Ivonna immediately runs toward him because she's curious about what she sees during her prayers. Saintess Aria understands and says that she will be waiting at the entrance and will bring the Arch Bishop and some of the high priest and priestess with her, Trevor nods with understanding, and then she leaves them both. Ivonna tells him everything about what she just experienced, she tells him about the giant she met and she described him so detailed that Trevor can imagine the giant's appearance. Ivonna then shows him the words that she copied, but Trevor isn't looking at the note at all.
Trevor scoffs while smirking.
"So you have met him, that's interesting."
Ivonna looks at Trevor while furrowing her forehead.
"You know that giant?"
Trevor smiles and nods.
"Yeah, that's Heugron, Ivy…."
