112 [Bonus Chapter] Roy vs. GhostWalker (A)
They tried to pincer him.
But by lowering his body, he dodged both their weapons by several centimeters.
“Bam!”
And then… he slapped his swords on their armor.
They were delivered such a powerful blow that they skidded backward by several meters.
Huge dents appeared on their armors. Hidden beneath it was their bruised skin. Their bones had shattered. If it weren’t for their armors, that attack of Roy would’ve sliced them in half!
With his widened to the size of saucers, Agustin said in disbelief, “H-How?! This formation is passed down to us from Chaos itself. Using it, we’ve killed four Weapon Masters! But how can you come out of it unscratched and even break it?!”
Roy scoffed, “Because I can see through your flashy moves, and you’re ridiculously slower and weaker than me.”
“Bullshit! It must be a fluke. You just got lucky there!” Yuriel exclaimed. He didn’t want to believe that a lad could thwart a technique created by Chaos.
No more words were necessary.
Roy immediately pounced at them.
Feeling the cold eyes of GhostWalker on their back, they didn’t dare retreat. They knew full well that if they did, although they won’t die at Roy’s hands, GhostWalker would kill them.
They glanced at each other and immediately used their sword formation to suppress Roy again. This was their finishing move as well as the one they practiced the most. They weren’t confident about surviving his assault with other skills. Roy had shattered it once. Would he be able to do it twice?
An instant later, dark creases appeared on GhostWalker’s face. He had seen how easily Roy played them before swinging his sword to cut off the head of Yuriel. What he found worst is that Agustin dared to run away from Roy. What a coward!
『Ding! You’ve killed a legendary Level Chaotic Being. You get 240 EXP!』. After killing Yuriel, Roy heard this system’s notification. He ignored it and directed all his killing intent toward one person.
‘Fuck, this guy is a monster.’ Agustin thought.
Seeing Roy behead Yuriel before dashing in his direction, Agustin subconsciously jumped back. But three beats later, his head was grabbed in a tight grip. He felt as if metal clamps were pressing down on him.
“Bam!”
And then he was forcefully smashed onto the ground with such strength that a crater formed beneath his body.
“Argh!” Struck by such an attack, Agustin felt concussed. He wasn’t able to understand what the hell had happened. He was clearly away from Roy. How did his head get grabbed? Well, Roy’s agility stat was around 20 points higher than his. This difference was incredibly noticeable. He was too fast for his eyes!
When clarity returned to his eyes, he saw Roy’s hardened face expressing absolute ruthlessness, the level of which he had shown to others many times, but this time, it was being shown to him!
Roy’s fingers were three inches away from his neck. Everyone knew where this was going.
『Ding! You’ve shot out six mana bullets! You lost 12 MP』
Bam! Bam! Bam!
One mana bullet after another condensed on the tip of Roy’s fingers and shot into Agustin’s neck. It was drilled with holes. The sixth one blasted it. His body dropped, but his head remained above ground as it was held in Roy’s hand.
『Ding! You’ve killed a legendary Level Chaotic Being. You get 240 EXP!』
Without letting go of his head, Roy stood up, Augustin’s head in his hand. And then he looked at GhostWalker in disdain.
“Why didn’t you help them?” Roy asked gravelly.
This type of person who treated his comrades as playthings was what he hated the most.
“I have my reason,” GhostWalker replied with a mysterious smile.
It looks like their death was a part of his plan. But Roy couldn’t tell what GhostWalker was thinking. A sense of foreboding assaulted him, but he shrugged it off.
His reply didn’t sit well with Roy.
He threw Agustin’s head at GhostWalker.
It was flung through the air and was just about to smash GhostWalker when he used his sword to slap it away.
Then… he started moving toward Roy.
GhostWalker had white hair. His eyes were supposed to be of the color, but because he had accepted Chaos, they were the same color as the servants of Chaos. He was wearing purple armor. And his weapon of choice was a broadsword.
Roy wanted to gauge him out first and understand his battle style. He knew nothing about GhostWalker. But he was certain he must be at the same level as him or even higher. It was better to be careful when dealing with him. After all, spilled milk can’t be recovered. He only had one life. If he lost it due to arrogance and carelessness, that would be Game Over for him!
“Whoosh!”
Swiftly, GhostWalker attacked him six times. But Roy parried 4 of his attack and dodged the other two.
The battle continued like this, with GhostWalker attacking and Roy dodging.
GhostWalker’s sword style was chaotic and deadly. All his strikes descended on Roy’s vital spots like torrential rain. But they were all thwarted, unable to touch an inch of his skin.
Furthermore, while exchanging moves with him, Roy discovered his weakness.
Every seventh, fifth and third strike, GhostWalker would swing his sword down heavily. This strike was strong like a lightning bolt. Parrying it made Roy feel like he was hit by a hammer. He only parried it once, and the next two times, he dodged it. But he also realized there was a delay each time GhostWalker used it!
The second GhostWalker got into the heavy sword-swinging stance, Roy attacked him, his sword barreling through the air and inching towards GhostWalker’s throat.
Seeing death inches away, GhostWalker’s eyes thinned to the size of needles.
Ting! This was the sound of Roy’s attack getting parried by GhostWalker.
Roy didn’t give him a chance to act up and continued attacking, putting him in a spot.
The one dodging changed place. GhostWalker dodged six of his strike by just moving left and right, parrying not a single one. He was definitely trying to get even with Roy. GhostWalker also intended to dodge the seventh one. Roy swung his sword out. If anyone were looking at his eyes, they would see haughtiness flickering in them.
His unique invisible Dark Aura gathered at the surface of the sword as GhostWalker stepped out of its trajectory to dodge it.
“Pa!” Instantly, the gathered Aura jumped and smashed him on the face with such strength that he was blasted into a wall, deeply embedded into it.
