MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1053: Widening Horizons

Chapter 1053: Widening Horizons

Feeling a hint of excitement as he watched the Mystic Energy he released accept the new concept that filled his mind, Valyr looked on with anticipation as the energy around him gradually took on a tangible form.

Of course, as he watched the Mystic Energy take shape, there were a few possibilities in his mind lingering about, considering that the forging process encompassed many steps.

It was possible for the Mystic Energy to take on the form of various forging equipment, seeing as they were a crucial part of the forging process. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ N0vᴇlFirᴇ.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

It was also possible for it to take on the rough form of a human, considering that the forging process wouldn’t be possible without the intervention and will of people in the first place.

However, even though those possibilities continued to linger in his mind, the Mystic Energy instead took a form that was neither of the two, yet served a purpose that was just as important as the other ones.

For the form it took was none other than the bridge between man and tool.

“A forging hammer.” Smiling as an iridescent forging hammer began to levitate in front of him, Valyr went ahead and tried to grasp it, only to feel an otherworldly energy course through his body the moment he touched it.

Whoosh!

If he were to describe the sensation he got after touching the iridescent forging hammer, then it would feel like he had access to the knowledge and experience of a thousand veteran blacksmiths with just a single thought.

At the same time, he also got the feeling that if he were to attempt forging an item with the hammer now in his hands, he would be able to forge an item that would be at least on par, if not slightly beyond what’s possible with the Hammer of Beginnings.

Specifically, with [Breath of Beginnings] enabled.

“…Woah.” Not expecting his thoughts to take on such a form, Valyr inadvertently dispelled the forging hammer he’d manifested whilst he was still familiarizing himself with the sensations it gave off.

Feeling a hint of fear that what he’d done might have just been a fluke, the young man took in a deep breath before manifesting the hammer using Mystic Energy again.

Fortunately, the hammer appeared in front of him the way it appeared before, still giving off the otherworldly sensation he got the moment he touched it.

Excited that he’d discovered another way to make use of Mystic Energy, Valyr went ahead and pushed more Mystic Energy into the forging hammer before him, wondering what kind of effects would arise.

Unsurprisingly, the feeling of great knowledge and experience was further intensified with the introduction of more Mystic Energy, with him becoming even more certain that he’d be able to forge an item with the hammer that went beyond even what the Hammer of Beginnings was capable of.

“Sadly…” Though he was expectant for such a path being opened in front of him… Swoosh!

The hammer soon disappeared on its own accord, consuming far too much Mystic Energy per second that even Valyr’s pure Mystic Energy could not handle.

Bitterly smiling at how the improved version of the iridescent forging hammer merely lasted for a few seconds before disappearing, the young man took in a deep breath to compose himself as he went over his thoughts.

“At the very least, I know it’s doable,” murmured the young man to himself, going over everything he’d done earlier in his mind as he tried to find his current sweet spot between performance and expenditure.

Whoosh!

Giving himself all the time he needed to restore his Mystic Energy back to full, Valyr went ahead and experimented with creating the forging hammer for quite some time, going through a few configurations in his mind as he eventually came to an initial conclusion.

‘As it stands, I don’t have enough Mystic Energy to sustain the forging hammer throughout the entire forging process.’

‘Though it is possible to reduce its expenditure by reducing its performance to where it would reach an equilibrium, if I were to rate its performance in that regard… then it would be at the level of an Epic-grade hammer?’

‘Then again… that’s far better than the spare hammers that are available in the Blacksmith Guild,’ thought the young man to himself, rubbing his chin for a bit as he felt like he was on the verge of a new idea.

Thankfully, no other thoughts surfaced in his mind at that moment, allowing him to see the thought to the end as he went ahead and activated a skill that seemed fit for the situation.

“[Ephemeral Limbs of the First Blacksmith].”

Whoosh!

Summoning a bit of the Prime Azure Energy in his body, a pair of translucent dark blue arms swiftly appeared to his right side, prompting him to nod in satisfaction as he felt the improvement Prime Azure Energy brought to the skill.

Shaking his head as he realized he’d briefly gone on a tangent, Valyr soon willed the pair of translucent arms to handle the forging hammer made out of Mystic Energy, only to become surprised once the arms finally held onto it.

“…!” Though the effect was less pronounced compared to directly holding it, Valyr still felt like he could access a considerable amount of knowledge and experience from a number of veteran blacksmiths.

Infusing more Mystic Energy into the hammer the pair of translucent arms held, the young man’s excitement grew after noticing that the otherworldly feeling he got gradually intensified by the second.

Though, knowing the limits of Mystic Energy, he swiftly stopped infusing more energy into it, instead taking a deep breath as he approached his current train of thought from a different

perspective.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

With [Ephemeral Limbs of the First Blacksmith] still active, Valyr went ahead and conjured all five pairs of arms around him, reminding him of the times he’d been forging around the clock to finish the quota Julian gave him.

Faintly smiling at the thought, he then reduced the performance of the hammer that was currently being held, giving him more leeway to conjure more hammers that the other arms

could wield.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Treading a fine balance between cost and performance, it did not take long for the other arms to be equipped with four more hammers, with all five now at the level of a Rare-grade forging

hammer.

“In terms of performance, it’s not that much different from the spare ones in the Blacksmith Guild.” Feeling a hint of strain from manipulating multiple things at once, Valyr took a while to acclimate to his current situation, letting out a soft sigh the moment he felt he’d gotten

used to it.

Then, with the motions he’d gotten used to in the past, he utilized both the translucent arms and the Mystic Energy hammers as if he’d returned to the workshop, feeling the knowledge and experience of various blacksmiths course through his mind while doing so. “That’s… satisfying.” Realizing that he’d basically just given himself a way to improve both his efficiency and performance in forging items, Valyr had a relieved smile on his face as he dispelled both the arms and the hammers surrounding him.

“With enough Mystic Energy, I suppose I could start an automatic production line of sorts for items.” Looking at Mystia and Marcus to see how far they were in the purification process, the young man soon nodded in satisfaction as he continued to think out loud.

“Then again, I’d probably need to boost my stats in the mental department, seeing as moving five additional pairs of arms are already putting quite the strain on my mind.” “Speaking of arms…” Just as he allowed his mind to wander about once more, a thought soon surfaced on Valyr’s mind yet again.

Wanting to find out the answer to the thought that just popped up, he gave himself time to recover all of the Mystic Energy he’d expended earlier before releasing all of that Mystic

Energy into his surroundings once more.

Whoosh!

Now that he’d proven that Mystic Energy was capable of taking on the form of concepts that did not have anything to do with combat, it was now time for him to figure out the answer to what seemed like the next step.

Was it possible to use Mystic Energy to mimic the movements of the human body?

“…Okay. That might be a stretch compared to the last one,” said the young man to himself after a bit of silence, slightly chuckling as he went over the thought that plagued his mind

once more.

Taking in a deep breath as he glanced at the iridescent energy that surrounded him, he then began to infuse the intent that he had in mind into the Mystic Energy, his eyes slightly widened the moment he noticed the energy began to move.

Watching the Mystic Energy wriggle before him in anticipation, Valyr kept both of his eyes

open as the energy eventually took on the form…

…Of a stick man.
