Chapter 420 - 420: You're Not It

Chapter 420 – 420: You’re Not It

Her heart skipped a beat at the question. But she doubted that he figured it out. No one would be able to do so unless they already knew of the existence of the spiritual realm. And it seemed highly impossible that he did. No, he was just fishing around for clues, Luna thought, keeping a poker face.

"Huh?" She asked nonchalantly, "What do you mean?"

William's smile widened. "You know what I mean. Or do you want me to help you recollect?" He asked, rising from his seat.

There was a hint of something sensual in his voice, but she ignored it. Whatever he was playing at, she wasn't going to let him get to her, she thought, narrowing her eyes at him.

"Excuse me?" She asked, the corners of her mouth pulling down to form a slow frown.

With a laugh, the man rushed towards her at lightning speed, his left hand outstretched towards her. Luna gritted her teeth, dodging to her left to avoid him. But she didn't manage to escape. It was as if he had already foreseen her move. He moved along with her, anticipating her movements.

His hands gripped her shoulders, pushing her against the wall with much force. The goddess grunted in pain as her back hit the cold, packed surface, the wall bearing the impact of the blow with ease. His one hand slipped down her chest, pressing on it hard as he let go of her shoulder and leaned in.

"Do you think I bought your act?" He asked, his voice dropping to a whisper as he blew air into her ear.

Luna shivered at the move, her sensitive spot being exposed. "I don't know what you're talking about." She said, holding her ground as she met his gaze with much determination.

She knew that if she faltered, he would take advantage of it. She could kill him with a flick of her finger right then and there. But she restrained herself, thinking about the consequences of such a move. Patience, she reminded herself as she continued staring into his sparkling, light brown eyes.

"Fine," William said with a shrug. "Then you can start undressing."

"What?!" The goddess exclaimed, her eyes wide with shock.

The alpha smiled from ear to ear. "I know a faery when I smell one." He said, leaning close to her neck. He took a deep breath, a slight shiver passing through his body as he did. He quickly stopped himself, leaning away from her. "You're not it. You may able to fool the rest of them, but not me." He paused, licking the sharp edges of his fangs that were fast pushing out of his mouth. A sliver of desire flashed in his eyes as he continued, "So if you're not ready to spill the truth, I need to make sure that you're not hiding anything dangerous in there." He said, his eyes trailing down her body hungrily.

"Pervert!" She shouted, raising her hand in anger.

The man caught her hand before it hit his face. With a laugh, he grabbed her other hand, raising it above her head. Luna struggled, glaring daggers at him as he shifted both her hands into his right hand and slid the other one down her body. He stopped at her waist, squeezing it hard as he stepped closer.

"I like my women feisty. So unless you want to start serving me right now, my dear slave, you can continue your play." He warned, pushing his hips against her.

The goddess stilled as she felt something hard pressing against her lower stomach, right above her sensitive spot. She cursed in her mind as she quickly nodded.

"I can promise you that I won't harm you." She said through clenched teeth.

William huffed, looking away from her. "Words mean nothing to me." He said, staring at the wall. Pain flashed in his eyes. But he quickly masked it. He turned to her with a smirk. "This world has no value for it." He said, stroking her hip bone with his thumb.

Luna frowned. She didn't know what he had gone through to arrive at that conclusion. It seemed to be a painful memory. Whatever it was, was now making it difficult for her to deal with him, she thought irritatedly.

"Then let one of the women examine me." She said, staring him dead in the eyes.

The alpha nodded, his brows scrunched in thought. "I can do that." He paused, his smile widening evilly. "But if I leave you to them, I doubt you'd come out alive." He whispered, leaning towards her ears suggestively.

The goddess rolled her eyes at the excuse. She knew that if he wanted to keep her alive, there were things that he could do to ensure that. "You just want to grope me." She accused with a huff.

William laughed, rubbing his nose against her earlobe. "Quite true." He whispered in an amused tone.

Luna cursed, stretching her neck away from him as she said, "I can't let you do that."

The man smirked, flashing her a sly smile. It all happened in the blink of an eye. Before she could complete her sentence, the man let go of his grip on her waist, quickly sliding through the cracks and curves of her body in one single sweep, going in and out with swift moves.

"Bastard!" The goddess shouted, tugging at her hand violently. "I will ki-"

"Hush!" The alpha said, putting his hand on her lips. His grip on her hands tightened as he leaned against her lips. "It's all over now. If you keep squirming like that, I won't hold back anymore." He whispered, the tip of his nose straining against her own.

Luna glared at him, leaning slightly backward before bringing her head forward in a swift move. The man grunted in pain as her forehead made contact with his nose. As blood started making its way down his nose, she smirked in triumph.

Though she might not be able to reveal her powers, she still had her body, she thought, watching him snort on his blood in irritation. William narrowed his eyes at her before suddenly breaking into a fit of laughter. His hands on her body loosened as he stepped away from her, maintaining a good five steps between them.

The goddess raised her brows at him in confusion. Had he lost his mind with a single blow? She wondered.

He raised his hands in defeat. "Don't worry. I won't touch you anymore." He paused, his smile growing wide. "Not till you beg me to." He said with a wink.

Luna huffed. "You're too confident for a mutt." She said, folding her hands above her chest.

William wiped his nose as his eyes fixed on her lips. "Maybe I should rethink and start with that pretty little mouth of yours." He said, baring his fangs.

The goddess glared at him in irritation but quickly rethought her strategy. Maybe she could put him off by being pliant, she thought, laughing inside her head.

"Please?" She squeaked, pouting like a helpless little maiden.

The smirk on his face immediately vanished, to be replaced by a frown. "I can't believe that you won't fall for me." He said, turning away from her. He walked towards the arched ceiling, decorated with hanging beads that separated the hall from the room. He paused, reaching out to push the beads aside. "I can wait. Until then, stay in here and don't roam around too much. I'll send the maids in so that you can take a bath and change." He said before quickly walking out of the room.
