Chapter 452 - 452: Who Are You?

Chapter 452 – 452: Who Are You?

Liam's POV

The moment the doors closed, he turned to her, unable to resist the urge any longer. Why was this strange woman making him feel all sorts of things? Was she really a witch? Was it William who told her about him? What was the relationship between them? He wondered, his mind pulled into a whirlpool of endless questions.

He wanted to know everything about her. Yet he didn't. He was scared of the things she would tell. He thought, jealously thinking about the way that she had confidently walked out of his enemy's house as if she owned the place. Jealousy was fast getting the better of him, in a way that he never imagined was possible.

"So where were we?" She asked, batting her long eyelashes at him.

His eyes dropped down to her lips as she moistened it with her tongue slowly, as if inviting him to taste her. His heart was beating too fast. Every inch of his body yearned for the strange woman before him. He had never seen anyone as beautiful as her. He wanted her all to himself. He thought, shuddering at the thought of her tongue sliding over his skin.

When he took a step towards her, he didn't know that he would end up losing control. Instead of slowly walking towards her as he had pictured in his head, his legs carried him to her in the blink of an eye as his hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her to his chest hungrily.

"Who are you?" He asked, his voice thick with desire.

It took every ounce of his strength to hold himself back. Especially when her soft body was straining against his own. He hated the layers of clothes that separated them. He wanted to tear them off- to sink his teeth into her chest as she wrapped her legs around-

His train of thoughts suddenly stopped when her lips parted and stretched into the most beautiful smile. His heart thumped against his chest like crazy, driving him into a maddening state with every moment that she kept looking at him like that.

Was this how witches bewitched people? He wondered. If that was the case, he was willing to be bewitched over and over again until she drained his very soul out of every bit of its life. A soft shudder passed through his body as she leaned forward, rubbing her soft breasts over his chest in an effort to reach up to his face.

Liam hissed at the woman unintentionally, baring his fangs at her in a show of desire, trying hard to suppress his very human moan. His blood rushed to the spot between his legs, awakening something within him. She was bringing out his basest instincts with only so much as a simple touch. But why?

The woman smiled again, reaching out to caress her soft pale thumb against his lower lip, rubbing against it in circles as she bit her lips unconsciously. Why was her every movement so capturing? What was this woman to him? He thought, staring into her beautiful grey eyes that sparkled like the brightest of stars on a dark night.

"Don't lie to me." Liam pleaded, shuddering, as her sweet breath fanned against his mouth. "Please."

"I am Luna." The woman whispered as she leaned in to rub her cherry red lips against his mouth.

The alpha closed his eyes, relishing the feeling, barely holding himself back from biting into her lips, as he craved to. Luna. Her name is Luna. It sounded like the soft moonlight caressing him on the many nights he gave into his animal instincts and took off into the forests. It reminded him of the moon that he yearned for.

The name brought with it a feeling of warmth and something else- something that he had never felt in this life. Was it what they called love? Or was this what a wolf's mate bond was supposed to feel like? But above all, why does she feel so familiar when he was sure that he had never met her before?

"Are you- are you my mate?"

The words slipped out of his mouth before he even realized it. Never had he felt this way towards anyone else. It was the only explanation that he could come up with. Hope surged inside his heart like the evening tide. It dulled the fear inside him that she was the unthinkable- a witch.

"Hmm?" The woman who he now knew was called Luna asked, her head raised from his neck towards where her mouth was sinking towards.

His heart sank at the amused expression in her sparkling eyes. He quickly drew back from her, staggering in his efforts to keep his distance. A heaviness set upon his chest. He had spoken too soon, he thought, turning away from her.

"I guess not." He murmured, almost to himself. "Why did I even ask?"

Then why was he feeling like this towards her? Had she really bewitched him like Alicia had accused? Had the woman then lied to him about her identity? Come to think about it, he really knew nothing about her, other than what rumors he had heard and what little conversation they had on the day that she had saved him. Liam's mind was a whirlpool of questions- questions to which he had no answer to.

Suddenly, a hand gripped his shoulder, making him jump backward in surprise. A bolt of energy passed through his body as the woman laughed, pulling him towards her with a force unimaginable from a woman.  His eyes grew wide as she grabbed his chin, tilting it towards her glowing face.

"It's something like that." She whispered, her breath fanning against his mouth.

His heart thudded against his chest like crazy, making him feel lightheaded.. Her touch was sending bolts of electricity through his veins, making him shudder as her fingers grazed his skin, drawing down the contour of his neck and into the deep cut of his shirt, tugging at its end hungrily.
