Chapter 451 - 451: Go On, Isaac
Chapter 451 – 451: Go On, Isaac
Liam was quick to dust his sleeves as if repulsed by her touch. The girl seemed to pay no heed to his actions. Her entire attention was focused on the goddess who she seemed to have taken as her competitor. Luna shook her head. The girl seemed to have no idea what she was walking into, she thought, struggling to keep herself from smiling.
She could finally see the tension between the three of them. The poor human girl was in love with a wolf and a wolf was in love with her. She had half a mind to burst the news on the girl, but she held herself back. After all, she was the bigger person. Eons older than the world that the sixteen-year-old was living in.
The man bowed his head apologetically to Liam. "Alpha, I-"
Alpha? The goddess thought, raising her brows at the shard. William's words came flashing back to her. Was that why he hated him? Were the two of them trying to wrest control over a territory? She wondered, curious at the situation, ignoring the girl who seemed to not want to take her eyes away from her.
Liam sighed, his fists clenching in anger. "Isaac, Alicia." He said, forcing a smile on his face as he glanced at the two of them in irritation. "You both seem to be in a hurry to greet our guest."
The man called Isaac smiled at his alpha awkwardly, seemingly at a loss for words.
"And they are?" Luna asked, tying her hands over her chest as she turned to the alpha with a blindingly beautiful smile.
The room fell silent as Liam's heartbeat rose. Like the thump of war drums, the sound echoed across the room. His eyes dilated as he stared at the goddess, awestruck. He opened his mouth, but no words came out of them. Luna chuckled, winking at him mischievously.
She loved the way that he was getting pulled to her like a moth to fire. His soul recognizing her, even when his mind didn't. Liam closed his mouth, licking his lips as hunger flashed in his eyes. The wolf inside him was wide awake, letting her know of its cravings with a soft purr.
"Stop that!" The girl, who she now knew was called Alicia shrieked, pointing a shaking finger at her.
"Hmm?" Luna asked, turning to the raging girl in amusement.
Alicia's nostrils flared in anger as her voice rose. "Stop trying to bewitch the commander-in-chief!" She exclaimed, coming to stand in between the two of them. "Or else-"
The goddess chuckled, watching the excited girl tremble with emotions. "Or else what, little girl?" She taunted, cocking her head to the side.
At that, Alicia lost her temper. "Little girl?!" She screamed, her amber eyes bulging as she stormed towards her. "How dare you! Do you know who I am?!"
Luna raised a hand, stopping the girl before she could reach her. The smile on her lips widened. "Whoever you are, you better behave and step away from what's mine." She said, waving at the girl dismissively.
"You!" The girl shouted, raising her hand at the goddess.
Luna smirked, ready to dodge the weak show of force. But before the girl's fingers even grazed the air in front of her face, the alpha's voice boomed across the room, stopping her mid-way.
"Enough!" Liam thundered, his eyes glued onto a surprised Luna's face. Alicia staggered, immediately dropping her hand and withdrawing backward in embarrassment. The alpha sighed, running his hand through his hair in frustration. "Isaac, take her away." He said with a frown.
Alicia huffed. "Go on, Isaac." She said, towards the goddess. "Your alpha gave you a command."
Luna chuckled, shaking her head at the girl's stupidity. "Yes, go on, Isaac." She said, flashing a smile at the man.
Isaac blushed, turning away from her in a hurry. "A-alpha, I-"
"I said, take the princess away now!" Liam thundered, his head whipping towards his friend in anger.
"What?!" Alicia exclaimed, all her confidence draining out of her body in an instant. "But what did I-"
"Alicia, please," Isaac begged, reaching out to the girl in desperation. He tugged at her hand gently as he tried to pull her away from the two of them. "Let's wait in the dining hall. I heard the chef has cooked your favorite today."
Luna frowned at the overflow of information. It seemed like the girl was a princess and the shard, the commander-in-chief of wherever she was. It was a shame that the stones weren't around, she thought to herself. She knew that it was silly, but jealousy pinched at her heart unconsciously as she started to realize how close the three possibly could be.
"Let go of my hand, Isaac!" The princess shouted, pulling her hand away from him in irritation. Her nostrils flared in anger as she turned to the alpha. "Mark my words, Liam. She's a witch. The more you try to be lenient with her, the deeper you'll find yourself in her trap." She warned through gritted teeth.
Liam ignored the girl, turning his attention back to the goddess. Although he seemed undisturbed by the princess's rant, Luna caught the thread of fear that flashed through his eyes. She covered her mouth, a chuckle escaping her chest as she tried to hold in her laugh. Earthlings and their fear, she thought, laughing inside her head.
"Let's go, Alicia." Isaac pleaded, making sure to keep his hands to himself this time around.
Alicia huffed, turning away from Liam. "Fine. You better not keep me waiting for too long, Liam." She said before she stormed out of the room with a helpless Isaac trailing close behind her.
As soon as the two left, the guards standing outside the room took it upon themselves to shut the doors close in a hurry. Luna licked her lips, turning to the alpha eagerly.
"So where were we?" She asked, batting her eyelashes at him innocently.
