Chapter 1507 Damian's Stance
1507 Damian’s Stance
Yogarthis’ body looked dirty from the scuffle, with tears in them at different spots, but overall he was completely fine. Damian on the other hand had a wounded head with blood streaming down the side of his face. He held Pathfinder to the ground, using it to steady himself.
The 6 women ran up to Damian, quickly helping him up, and checking on him. The blonde-haired woman placed her hand on him and began healing him. The wound on his forehead closed, giving him some relief. Just as he stood up, getting ready to fight, Yogarthis reached out with his hand and caused an explosion that scattered all the women away from Damian.
Yogarthis laughed out loud as he walked forward and stepped on the chest of the woman with the hammer lying next to her. One could hear a crunch from her chest as the woman let out a violent scream.
“Jenna!” Damian shouted while he quickly used the Flow Art of healing to use on himself. He got back up and prepared to fight, but stopped.
Yogarthis held a woman with bright red hair by her neck, lifting her up in front of him. Damian’s eyes widened when he saw the woman.
“No, Celine!” Damian spoke, his hands wavering in front of him. This was his woman who had been kidnapped, the one who was taken hostage by Yogarthis, leading to Damian having to come here to fight him.
“You came too quickly, Starrider,” Yogarthis said. “I didn’t have the time to sully her like I do all the girls I get. But, doing it in front of you is certainly not a bad idea.”
Yogarthis licked his lips, giving a disgusting look toward the girl he held in his hands.
Damian staggered at his feet, knowing that he needed to do something, but not knowing what. Every fight he had been to in his life, he had fought the opponent to near death and come out victorious by the skin of his teeth.
There had even been a battle where he had died, having to be brought back to life at the last moment. However, after going through such an arduous journey, he didn’t think he could win today.
The man standing in front of him was the man who had terrorized the world for too long a time. He had a power in him that Damian could not hope to lose.
Damian slapped himself in the face loud enough that it caught Yogarthis’ attention. “Punishing yourself for being weak?” Yogarthis asked.
“Punishing myself for even thinking of backing down,” Damian said as he held Pathfinder high up once again.
“I am Damian Starrider, and not even death can make me back out of a fight where I am needed,” Damian said. “If I can’t protect my women, then I don’t deserve to live. Prepare Yogarthis, for one of us will die today.”
Yogarthis looked at Damian and narrowed his eyes. “You are a proud man, Damian. Perhaps because you grew too quickly, you do not have not established a cautious personality yet. You run into danger because you think you can survive.”
Yogarthis threw the girl he was holding to the side. “Sullying your woman would surely traumatize you, but defeating you first will just add to the flavor so much more.”
“Many have tried to kill me. Many have come close, and yet all have failed. You are no different from all those men, Yogarthis.”
“Men?” Yogarthis began laughing out loud. “I am no man.”
He began hovering, as the wind whipped all around him. The sky darkened and rain clouds filled the sky.
“I… AM… A GOD!”
He pointed down and a large bolt of lightning fell from the sky, landing toward Damian.
Damian quickly used his Flow Art, creating a silver gate that teleported the lightning directly to Yogarthis.
Yogarthis simply put his hand to the side, taking on the lightning bolt as though it had no effect on him. Instead, he pointed down and more lightning bolts fell from the sky.
Damian realized he was trying to attack everyone. Quickly, he used his Flow Art to bring out a puppet of earth that slowly grew out, immediately creating a cover from the lightning for everyone.
He kept the flow going as he controlled the golem that appeared. It was a golem so large that the palace dwarfed in front of them all.
Compared to the girl who used her golem, this was nearly 3 times larger, and thus just that much stronger.
The lightning shower ended and Yogarthis looked down where Damian had stood before. He was gone now, gone from the battlefield. Yogarthis looked around and noticed him.
“You can’t hide from me,” he said, pointing toward a part where the rubble was high and the shadow was darker.
Damian was hiding in the shadows.
“I wasn’t hiding,” Damian said. “Just waiting.”
Then, he swung his sword. A silver blade of light swung in a straight line, cutting reality apart as it made its way toward the so-called god.
It was Damian’s strongest attack, a Dimensional Blade.
Yogarthis flicked his finger and destroyed the attack. “Pitiful attempt!” he said. “Is this all you can do?”
Damian appeared flabbergasted. He had seen his attacks being dodged, being fought back against, and even destroyed in some cases.
But never had this one attack been ridiculed like this, destroyed with a flick of a finger. That should not have been possible.
Just how high was the gap between him and this so-called god? “Let me show you what real power looks like.”
Yogarthis gathered a dark violet energy in his hand, one that seemed to darken the sky and dwarfed all things that existed.
Damian stared at the power, trying to read the flow of the attack, but there was none. It was an attack he simply couldn’t understand.
All he could do was sit down and watch as the man who called himself god threw down the attack to kill him and everyone he had ever loved.
