Chapter 504 - Luna Vs Yohr - A Battle Of Gods
However, Luna frowned even before Yohr said that he would give her soul shard back to her.
She immediately twisted her hand around and slashed at the air behind her, though nothing happened.
"That was close…it seems you still have your divine senses…" Yohr remarked in a grim tone as he was able to retract his tail just in time to not let it get severed by Luna.
However, now that everything was out in the open, there was no room for any more talk, and he simply opened his mouths wide as all nine heads of his shot out a jet of ice towards Luna, who skillfully dodged all nine of them by simply twisting her body in the air while moving closer towards Yohr.
Damien felt like Luna was dancing in the air seeing how captivating each of her moves were to the point that it didn't seem like she was fighting at all but instead dancing.
He, however, didn't forget to dash backward to not get caught up in their battle and risk ending up dead since this was a battle between gods and not something he could interfere with.
Still, he was feeling worried for Luna, wondering whether she would be alright with spending her saved energy to fight Yohr and if she might risk fracturing her soul even more.
Luna was purposefully minimizing her ethereal energy use as much as possible and had decided to only fight Yohr using her swords alone and the skills that followed it.
Yohr quickly constructed an ice wall before him, but Luna merely waved her swords in a crisscross fashion, and a myriad number of fractures immediately appeared on the thick ice wall, causing it to crumble down within just a few moments.
Damien was astonished by how precise and fast Luna was able to destroy a five-meter tall wall of ice that was at least a meter thick with just a casual wave of her swords. This was no ordinary ice since it was conjured by a god after all, and she was able to do it without utilizing any flashy moves.
He knew Luna didn't have enough energy to spare to use it to destroy the wall of ice and speculated that it was her mastery in the Way of the Sword that allowed her to quickly destroy the ice wall.
He was sure it was something more profound than his Sword Will.
Yohr finally lifted his body, and Damien was surprised to see that Yohr had two giant legs, and his lower half of the body looked no different than a dragon's he had seen as illustrations in various books.
'What kind of a beast is he?' Damien wondered though he got distracted when he saw Yohr manipulating the water below him to rise up and turn into multiple spikes of ice that got hurled towards Luna.
Luna merely rotated one of her swords in a roundabout fashion, and all the spikes immediately got cut into tiny bits and pieces as they fell down, much to Yohr's shock. He never knew her sword mastery would be this overpowered to the point that she did not even have to use much ethereal energy to counter his attacks.
He was sure that if she didn't possess this level of sword mastery, she would have already been defeated as long as she held back on her usage of ethereal energy like now.
Damien noticed that even if these two were divine beings, he wasn't really experiencing any kind of shockwaves from their fights. When he asked Kalypso the reason for this, she answered, "It's because Luna is trying her best not to let her attacks cause any kind of shockwaves whenever she clashes with Yohr. I think she is doing that consciously because of Master. I guess I might have misunderstood a bit…she indeed seems to care about Master," Kalypso said in a slightly surprised tone since she never expected a supreme goddess-like Luna to choose a mortal over another god's help.
Damien still tried to get back as far as possible, but all the exits were sealed with ice, making him unable to get out, and he already found out the hard way that he couldn't blast his way out of this ice cave.
All he could do was take cover behind a large ice block. He also didn't expect that the Xeton God was an Ice-type Divine Beast who could manipulate water as well. This made him wonder if Reva could manipulate ice as well since she learned Yohr's ethereal divine arts.
Just because one had an elemental water seed didn't mean that they could manipulate ice as well. An ice elemental seed was a higher form of water elemental seed, and he had never come upon one possessing it.
Yohr gritted his teeth seeing that Luna was taking on all his head-on attacks casually, and decided to use some tricks as suddenly his body flickered, and the next moment a dozen Yohr's were surrounding Luna with sinister glint in their eyes.
Damien was surprised by the sudden development as she saw how Yohr multiplied himself into ten bodies that looked and seemed exactly the same. He couldn't tell who was the real Yohr since none of them seemed like ethereal images but real bodies that even gave off the same aura.
"Is this some kind of cloning technique?" Damien asked Kalypso since no matter how hard he tried, all ten Yohr's seemed exactly the same without any slightest difference.
"It should be, and it could be quite troublesome if you can't figure out the main body," Kalypso said in a serious tone, wondering if Luna could make out the real one or was she going to get defeated by all ten?
"You are going down, Ethereal One! I will be the Supreme One soon!" Yohr roared as all ten of his bodies shot out a brilliant blue energy beam from their eyes which all shot towards Luna.
