After the man lost all of his loved ones at the same time just like that without any warning, Barton embarked the path of vendetta! He knew that there was nothing he could do to return his loved ones, but the voice of his loved ones kept playing in his head, making him unable to move forward!
He ought to vent! There was nothing better than to vent his anger out on some criminals! After all, half of the world’s population disappeared over night and the world plunged into a chaos! Even the good guys were doing something they weren’t proud off right now!
How many years until the world return to normal? A year? A few years? No one really knew! However, it was an indisputable fact that the criminals took this chance to take over control over their respective area.
The government themselves were doing the best they could to make sure that the chaos ensued from the snap didn’t get out of hand. The people, however, tried to push the blame to anyone in power, either the government or the heroes who tried to help them! Many people were in a state of confusion and pain from missing their families and friends. Those who saw that the chaos could bring profit, used the people for their personal benefit!
The people, too, were tempted by this scam that pushed ‘Life Saving Straw’ to ease their pain to no end. Maybe they knew that what they bought was full of lies, but they surely couldn’t let it go in hope that it was somehow true!
It was the same thing that happened to terminally ill patients as they didn’t want to die! They clung into hope that the program that they were joining would somehow cure them and allow them to live for a little longer!
This was how Human Nature works!
A few days passed and instead of the chaos slowly settling down, it become more chaotic than before! Many extravagant theories began to spread around the people, fuelling the chaos even more.
The surviving policemen and other law enforcement personnel were desperate to maintain law and order, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t curb the chaos efficiently. At the end, even the law enforcement personnel finally lost hope and left things be as they couldn’t do anything about it.
Inside the government itself, many country leaders were missing from the snap and the politician took that chance to elect themselves for their own personal gain! It was an expected thing to have as the politician would always fight for a vacant spot in any given circumstances!
The trouble came after that as so many people refused to work, walking around the streets to find their missing loved ones. The missing people notices filled the street as many people tried to find their mother, father, children, brother, sister, lovers, and many others!
Although they all knew that the disappearance wasn’t as simple as just missing! In fact, many of them witnessed for themselves that the people turned into ashes, but they couldn’t believe that their loved ones would be gone forever!
This was human nature, once again! Human clung to hope very tightly compared to other race in the universe! They wouldn’t believe something that happened right in front of their eyes when it came to those they held dear.
They wouldn’t care about the sky falling outside of their homes as long as they could live happily with those that they loved!
They still believed that their loved ones was still alive somewhere, trapped by those that kidnapped them with such an extravagant way!
They couldn’t continue living happily after witnessing something like this!
This was why even the heroes and some of the loneliest person in this planet couldn’t agree with Thanos’ ideal! Even if this kind of thing happened a thousand years ago, the people would only be reminded about the disaster that Human race experienced at that time, not about the positive thing that it would bring to the world!
Human Race would never celebrate something like this! Although it could be said that they had lost half of their competitors in this world, they couldn’t be happy as those half included their loved ones!
But the thing was, the one that caused all this wasn’t even Thanos himself! It was just a bet that Grandmaster did to pass his time on Earth! He didn’t even support Thanos. It was just to find some kind of excitement from all of this!
Fortunately for the rest of the world, they didn’t have to learn about this cruel truth! This would allow them to avoid despair as it would certainly bring despair to those that knew there was nothing they could do in front of an absolute power!
The poet was always right, ignorance is a blessing!
At the same time, Dio and the other Avengers quickly devised a plan to attack the Grandmaster! He knew that the only way to curb the chaos was to make sure they got the Infinity Gauntlet from the Grandmaster!
It was useless to establish new order in the midst of so much violence!
But then again, Dio wasn’t really an ignorant person! He knew that they had to come up with some plan to make sure that the people didn’t kill each other out of anger! They ought to help the government to establish control somehow!
So, Dio and the others began visiting the politicians, allowing them to form a new team that would announce a new rule in the country’s stead! meanwhile, Dio and the rest of the Avengers would deal with the criminals that rampaged through the city!
Eventually the process of destruction ceased to exist.
Although it would take a long time to completely restore civil society, at least people would start to move on!
