Chapter 509: Dangerous Charm
Chapter 509: Dangerous Charm
“This should work for now…” Max muttered as he managed to change his skin tone back to normal.
The Spirit Mark ability which Max had gained was more useful than he thought. Not to mention, it was still in his control as it was born from the mutation between his two spirit powers.
He could use the spirit mark to change his body’s appearance. For now, he could only do as much as changing color tone but Max felt that he could do much more if he could truly master it.
On the other side two people were engaged in a serious conversation…
“Keep an eye on him…” Andriel said with a serious face.
Lisa nodded as she walked towards Max to leave the spirit world with him.
….
«Axel: Your sister is growing crazy here…She says she wants to talk to you ….»
Wilson looked at the message and frowned, he was already moving towards the base.
«Axel: I can’t fight her like this… I am reaching my limit. We will both end up eliminating each other at this rate…Come and help me here..»
«Wilson: No, bring her to base…»
«Axel: Really? Why don’t you come here instead?»
«Wilson: Just do as I say…I will explain it to you..»
….
“Isn’t it been long? What are they doing for so long?” Lear couldn’t help but ask.
“They might have met with something on the way…” Mark replied calmly.
At this moment, the two arrived and Lear was the first to notice.
“What’s with this look?” He couldn’t help but ask with a smile as he looked at Max.
Mark and Kevin turned around to look as well when they heard him only to find Max standing there with a blindfold.
“Uh…he got some problem with his…technique…and it led to some side effects…” Lisa hurriedly explained.
‘I haven’t got any problem with my mouth Lisa…’ Max muttered inwardly not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
Mark came forward as well after hearing that.
Lisa felt that she was reaching her limit and couldn’t stand any longer. She had to find somewhere to sit. So, she slowly left after warning Max not to take the blindfold off.
“You all right?” Mark asked as he looked at him.
“Yeah, I am fine…”Max replied with a smile.
At this moment, Mr. Cool, who had gone out after sensing some disturbance returned.
“What’s with the blindfold? ” He asked with a smile and with a flick of his finger, the blindfold appeared in his hand, “It actually looks good. Let me try it…”
But Max didn’t reply…
He and Lear were busy looking at each other.
The moment Lear’s eye came in contact with Max, he felt his heart clench. A strange feeling began to take over him.
“What are you looking at?” Max asked with a meaningful smile as he took a step forward and put his hand on the wall while Lear was forced with his back against the wall.
‘What’s going on? What is this?’ Lear didn’t know what was happening. But he couldn’t take his eyes off of Max. His heart was thumping out loud.
“Do you have something to say?” Max asked as he slightly slid his fingers under Lear’s chin and raised it up. ” If not…”
Lear’s eyes began to turn blurry as Max’s face closed in…
‘I am… sorry..Lora..’ Lear muttered inwardly as his defenses fell.
Mr. Cool, Mark and Kevin were quietly watching the scene by the side. They didn’t know what was going on, but they didn’t have the slightest intention to intervene.
Why?
Because, it was fun to watch…they might even store it as a dark matter to blackmail them in the future…isn’t that what friends are for?
But a black beam of light came and struck Lear, sending him flying.
Lisa stood there with her hands raised in mid air. She had returned after thinking it was dangerous to leave Max and she had beenvindeed correct in doing so.
As soon as the two were separated, Max fell onto his knees as he came back to his senses.
Sweat rolled down his forehead and his expression was extremely ugly. Lear on the other side was no different, he was vomiting out just thinking about what had happened.
Lisa snatched the blindfold from Mr. Cool while giving him a hateful glare before walking up to Max and putting it on him again.
“So, this was the side effect…” Mark muttered.
“It’s kind of terrifying…” Kevin said a bit scared.
“Don’t pull it off at all cost…” Lisa said as she looked at everyone.
Everyone nodded. They wouldn’t dare to after seeing what had happened….
After that event, Lear kept his distance from Max…not only he, but the rest too were afraid of going near him…
Lisa had already briefed them on what kind of side effect it was….
After an hour, Wilsom arrived and he seemed pretty injured. Clearly not in a good condition.
Everyone was surprised to see him in that condition. After all, he was one of the strongest among them. It seemed he really had gone through a lot.
But their surprised faces hadn’t even returned to normal when they were shocked again as two more figures appeared in an even worse condition.
Axel really looked pissed with his hairs burned and his face turned black like coal as he dragged Erina by her collar who had several wounds on her body and was angrily glaring at Axel as if ready to bite him at any moment.
Lear who saw the scene couldn’t help but feel admiration for Axel.
Max on the other hand looked at Wilson but to his surprise, Wilson didn’t seem to mind at all.
“As long as he doesn’t do something to leave any permanent injury. It’s fine even if he beats her up..we are opponents after all…” Wilson calmly replied after sensing Max’s gaze.
He was initially worried about her for being reckless and suffering seriously. But after coming here, he found that it was very unlikely to occur normally.
Still, if someone deliberately wanted to harm you, it was possible if they severed one’s limbs or poisoned them.
«Namen: Are you guys there to win the competition or to be all lovey-dovey?»
Max was taken back by the sudden message.
‘How did she know? Don’t tell me we got caught on the surveillance?’ Max began to sweat.
«What do you mean?» He couldn’t help but ask nervously.
«Namen: I saw that Ocien Celestial and that person…what was his name again…yeah…Axel….they literally just announced their love to the world…»
Max frowned and then looked at the two in front who were looking like fire and water to him.
He looked at Wilson and refrained himself from asking Axel about it. After all, this might come under Wilson’s description of permanent damage that he had spoken earlier.
Anyway, he was relieved it was not him.
