THE LOVE OF A LYCAN

Chapter 194 THE LAND OF GOD

194 THE LAND OF GOD

The weirdest thing was, Raine did not feel any pain at all, but she did feel something warm spread on her chest to her body, reaching to the tip of her fingers.

"What are you doing…?"?Raine was flabbergasted.?She touched the spot where it had penetrated her body.?"What was that thing?"?Raine could not feel it any longer.?She looked at Serefina in horror. "Say something!"

Serefina rolled her eyes as if tired with Raine's exaggerated reaction. "Look around you." She said lazily.

Only then did Raine realize that she was not in the dining room anymore, although she did recognize this place.

They were in the dessert that Raine had visited when she travelled back to ancient time before.?This was the place that bordered the city of angels.

This deserted place was the same landscape of sand, tumbleweed and dead grasses, with the same harsh sun overhead.?Although Raine only observed this place for a while before she fell unconscious at that time, she was sure this was the same dessert from before.

"Recognize this place?"?Serefina asked, not really caring about Raine.?She walked ahead as her eyes scoured the area.

"Why we are here?" Raine asked in panic, swallowing her protest.?She still had not forgotten that Serefina had stabbed her earlier.?Raine followed her and grabbed the edge of Serefina's dress, afraid that she would be left behind.

"People call this place the land of god." Serefina glanced at Raine who was holding on to her dress, but she did not complain.

Since waking up, she was still wearing her peach sleeping gown with long sleeves while Serefina looked awfully beautiful in her body- hugging knitted sweater the color of red and dark high-waist jeans.

Serefina has that kind of body that could make any man want to worship her and any woman burst into tears of jealousy.

Raine could not help but compare herself to her.?Even in this situation, she felt jealous of Serefina's body. She sighed deeply.?Fortunately the witch's personality was so obnoxious, Raine felt she could hate her without feeling guilty.

"Land of god?"?Raine tried to focus on the matter at hand and tried to get rid of her superfluous feeling. "What is that?"

"This is the place that connects every realm." Serefina drew a circular motion with her forefinger in the air, as if she was drawing something.?A ring of yellow light appeared, following her movement.?"This here is the portal to another realm."

Raine could not see what was behind the ring thathas the size as big as her body.

She took a step closer to the portal with Raine following behind her. "Stay close with me if you don't want to get lost." Serefina warned her.

"Where are we going?" Raine suddenly pulled Serefina's hand when she was just a step away from the glowing ring.

"Don't ask too many questions and just follow me." Serefina glared at Raine.

However, Raine had already gotten used to Serefina'sattitude towards her that she kept asking. "Are we going to the village of angels?"?Honestly, she did not want to go back to that village again.

"No.?We will not go to that ridiculous village."?Serefina scoffed, "That ridiculous village with their ludicrous rules."

Somehow, Raine chuckled upon hearing Serefina's statement.?It rarely happens but for once, she agreed with the witch.

"So, where are we going?" Raine deliberately asked.?Because she knew Serefina would become irritated if she kept doing so, she thought she could at least do this as petty revenge.

However, Serefina only glanced at her and walked like a model on a catwalk through the glowing ring that she had created.

On the other hand, Raine's smirk faded as she hastily followed her.

The blinding light forced Raine to close her eyes tightly, but she held on to Serefina's hand.?She could not afford to lose her grip, afraid of what would happen to her otherwise.

"Until when do you want to close your eyes?"?Serefina's sharp comment could be heard as she shookRaine's hand away.

Raine opened her eyes abruptly and took in her surroundings.

They were no longer in the dessert, but now they were surrounded by blue flowers.?Raine had never seen such flowers before.

Raine was astonished to see this beautiful scenery and noted that apparently, it was now midnight in this realm.?The full moon shone radiantly in the night sky.

The sky was clear without clouds marring it.?On the ground, row after row of blue flowers bloomed to the fullest.

Raine wanted to touch them, but she heard Serefina lazily warning her. "Don't touch it. It's poisonous."

Raine abruptly drew back her hand.?"Why didn't you say so earlier?" She whined. "I could have died."

"Don't exaggerate. The flowers will not harm you, but the thorns will." Serefina took a petal of a blue flower and squeeze it between her fingers. "The thorns will put you into deep sleep."

"Like the story of the sleeping beauty?" Raine asked innocently as she approached the witch.?Though Serefina said the flower would not do her any harm, she wanted to be on the safe side.?Who knew what else this witch is brewingon her mind.?She could be coming up with something nonsensical again.

Serefina sneered at Raine's question and walked away. "You really don't have any imagination."

The road went slightly uphill, but the witch walked on her high heels just fine which truly amazed Raine.

"What has this got to do with imagination?" Raine mumbled. "Wait. Tell me, what was that thing that you used to stab me?"
