Chapter 860: Blue lizard
Chapter 860: Blue lizard
"Two more months before we can see the baby, I guess?" Hope stared at Lana's baby bump and she could see how much Lana loved it from the way she placed her hand over her belly, rubbing it dotingly now and then.
"Yes," she sighed indulgently. "I really want to see the baby… I wonder how he looks like…" she muttered.
"So, the baby is a boy?" Hope was surprised that Lana already knew. "I think I have to bring a blue balloon then."
Hope felt like it had been decades since she had a small talk like this with Lana, sister to sister, and this helped her to calm her tense nerves due to the odd weather.
"Have you thought of a name for him?" Hope asked and Lana's eyes shone brightly. She proudly said. "Eddard. Raphael wants to name him Eddard and I love the name."
The name rolled from Lana's tongue gently as her voice brimmed with love and affection.
She would be a great mother for her children. Hope thought. She didn't believe two years had passed since she went to the northern coven realm for the first time and, at that time, Lana still had a secret crush on Kace.
Hope was quite afraid that her feelings for Kace would be a boomerang for their relationship all this time, therefore Hope couldn't be more grateful when Lana finally found her destined mate and Raphael was such an amazing mate for Lana.
However now, things had turned dark again, they had to face a war with the devils, who were stronger than before and with their cunning nature, they had managed to make some progress here and there, also mastered a few tricks that were oblivious from the Donovans' imaginations.
And from what Hope heard, something happened in the human realm. In the past, Kace, Lana and Serefina had discussed about it in passing, but this moment the strange feeling had become more concrete and vivid for them to feel.
From the report, it was not only this realm, which had a strange weather from a few days, the oddity was also a common occurrence in the human realm along with the other realms.
What exactly was going on? Was it because the devils had managed to collect all the three guardian angels' blood?

"What are you two doing here?!" the dwarf barked when all of a sudden Hope barged into his small cabin with eyes full of unconcealed rage, and Raine followed behind her leisurely.
"What we are doing here?!" Hope flared as she asked incredulously. "It had been two weeks since you came here and now you are asking me what we are doing here?!"
"You should have knocked on the door first! Where are your manners?!" the dwarf was agitated when he saw that Hope seated herself on a small sofa near the door and looked at the dwarf, as if she wanted to eat him alive.
"Literally speaking, you have been living in this castle for free, so instead of showing your manners by keeping your words to help us with our power, you just stayed inside this small cabin avoiding us completely!" Hope scoffed. She was very angry now and Raine could understand it.
However, while Raine could keep her temper in check, Hope couldn't do so, she was not a compassionate type of person and Raine just got to realize it.
If Hope wanted something, she would get it and she wouldn't waste her time by waiting for the uncertainty.
"I'm not avoiding you!" the dwarf yelled back at Hope. "I just gave you time to prepare yourself," he tried to reason with Hope.
"I think two weeks was enough time for us to prepare ourselves," Raine chimed in as she sat down beside Hope. She looked at the dwarf and spoke gently. "Nutdrouk, we don't have much time, do we? We can feel something bad is happening. Hope can sense it vividly."
Nutdrouk's eyes flashed with glee when he heard his name being called, thus he replied to Raine in a gentle tone. "I know, the people were becoming restless because of the upcoming solar eclipse."
"Solar eclipse?" Raine looked at Hope, asking if she had heard about it, but the other guardian angel shook her head.
"Solar eclipse happened nineteen years ago and it will happen in five months from now," the dwarf said, rubbing his hands nervously. For some reason, he was unsure with what he was saying. Moreover, that person didn't say that it would be a solar eclipse, yet the way she described it, there was no other way if it was not that phenomenon.
The day would turn like night and the bright sun would be shielded by the darkness.
"Why don't you tell us some more about it?" Raine asked again, she held Hope's hand when she was about to lash out at the dwarf.
How could he keep this for himself and didn't let them know? Was he really on their side? Or, he just came to spy on them?
Yet, Raine couldn't think of a plausible reason why the devils wanted to use him as their minion.
"I told you that you need time to prepare yourself, but since you have come to see me, let's start the training, shall we?" the dwarf opened both of his stubby arms.
Upon seeing that, Hope and Raine exchanged looks before staring at the dwarf suspiciously.
"What? Now you are questioning me? You know that I helped you back then to escape from the city and return to the Alpha's territory. I am a friend," the dwarf said agitatedly to Raine.
"A criminal will not declare themselves as a criminal out right," Hope said sarcastically.
"But, a devil will proudly say that he was a devil," Nutdrouk retorted. "Take my hand and I will bring you somewhere."
To be teleported somewhere was not a surprise for Hope and Raine, but to be alone with the dwarf, was another thing. Could they trust him enough?
At the same time, Hope pointed her finger at something behind Nutdrouk's back. "What is that thing?" she asked with a frown.
Raine narrowed her eyes and recognized it immediately. "Isn't that Serefina's blue lizard?" she asked with uncertainty.
