Chapter 66
Chapter 66
While Luciel was thinking by herself about the land, the Duke took the children and went to the place where the deers were grazing.
At the pasture, several deers were running around on the grass. There were also large deers with antlers, and there were also ones with beautiful white spots on their backs.
As the Duke carefully entered the grazing area, a small baby deer followed him. The color of the fur was different from the others. It had the same color of pure white snow. It’s soft, silvery fur was mysterious.
“Wow!”
“This child is a snow deer. Isn’t it the same as Luciel?”
The deer jumped up and came closer as if huggin Luciel. Then, he licked her cheeks, making her frown one of her eye’s because of the itchy feeling.
“It’s the same. Just like Sister Luciel.”
Even Leoni opened his eyes in amazement and said so. The deer was playing well but it didn’t last long, and he limped again.
“They gave first aid with healing magic, but they said it will take a little longer because the joint was injured.”
“It’s out of breath.”
“We will take care of it until it gets better for the time being, and then send it back to the snowy field. It seems that the climate is not right and it keeps getting hot.”
Louivid sprinkled snow on the deer with snow magic. It was pitiful to see him standing with trembling legs.
“Father-in-Law, I want to take care of this snow deer.”
“You want to take care?”
“Yes. And I have one more wish.”
“A wish? Is there anything you want?”
Luciel nodded her head while fiddled with her little hands.
“Tell me. Your birthday is coming soon, so you can have whatever you want.”
“Me too, I…I also want a little fief……please give me one. It doesn’t matter if it’s not as big as Leoni’s. I think it would be nice to have just one barn.”
Louivid and Soliaphe looked at each other and laughed. It seems like she wanted to possess land for herself, because since they arrived, Luciel had been scrutinizing everything with big twinkling eyes.
“Okay. After your wedding, I will review the land for a little fief and give it to you.”
“Thank you……father-in-law.”
At the thought of asking for and receiving a big material present for the first time, Luciel was embarrassed and also shy, so she wanted to hide.
“Why are you so shy?”
Luciel hid behind the hem of Soliaphe’s skirt.
That evening, Luciel asked to take the snow deer to the greenhouse, but the climate of the greenhouse was set to the temperature that allowed plants to grow, so it seemed too hot for the snow deer.
The snow deer was tired and sat on the floor with its legs crossed. It seems to need the vitality and healing power of the Phoenix Rose.
“Phoenix.”
Luciel came and touched the leaves of the rose calling for the Phoenix.
―Are you here to give me mana?
As soon as it said that, Luciel collected her mana without saying a word and gave it to Phoenix. The leaves seemed to dance.
―Thank you.
“Now that I have given you my mana, please share some of your vitality. The snow deer is hurt.”
―Snow deer? You mean that kid?
“Yes, it is said that it was attacked by a monster. It’s too pitiful.”
―I don’t even have the vitality to share anymore. I gave it all to your mother-in-law.
“Oh, should I give you more mana?”
Luciel’s face turned pale.
―How about if you just take good care of the little one instead?
It must be difficult for the snow deer because the greenhouse was too hot, Luciel whimpered and tried to carry it to another place, but it was quite heavy.
“……Huh, It’s too heavy. Can you hang on a little more? If you stay here, you will faint.”
However, the deer’s body was already drooping. Luciel moved the deer to her room with the help of a servant she met in the middle. Although it had lost its energy, she placed a cold wet towel on its body and carefully wrapped the loose bandages on its legs.
Then she gently stroked the deer’s back.
“Get well soon. I wish I could learn the ice attribute to cool you down.”
Luciel took off her slippers and climbed onto the bed. The black eyes of the deer stared at Luciel for a long time until she fell asleep.

Luciel woke up in the morning and was startled to feel something cool and cold on her back and neck.
“……Snow?!”
When she turned around, white snow was falling down. Flustered, Luciel got up, got out of bed, and brushed off the snowflakes.
The snow deer and Luciel, who was rolling her eyes to and fro, met their gaze.
“You……Did you do this?”
But as if the little deer knew nothing, it simply laid back on its side. Luciel tilted her head.
‘There is no way a deer can do magic.’
Come to think of it, Grandpa Gillard, who had gone to the tower, has not yet returned.
‘Grandpa, when are you coming back?….’
Luciel stepped up and looked out his window.
“Uh……?”
At the entrance of the castle, a green teleport portal magic circle was being created along with a bursting sound that rips the air.
The first person, who had long blonde hair and a waving cloak, walked out at a slow pace.
“Grandpa is here!”
Luciel, who was about to run straight out, paused for a moment. After a while, a person wearing a robe with a slender figure came out.
“……Who is it?”
A blue shawl swayed in the wind over a tightly pressed robe. Suddenly, a strong wind blew, revealing their face for a moment.
It was a woman with blue hair.
‘That blue shawl is familiar…….there was a pattern there. Yes, it was like a cloud pattern.’
And there was a mole on her lips, and a tattoo on the back of her hand.
‘Now I just have to go and check.’
Is that woman Erika?
“Since there’s a guest, they’ll probably go to the study!”
Luciel came out of her room and started running to Gillard’s study with her short legs. As she took a deep breath, clinging to the wall near the study, she watched as the two came with hawk eyes.
Nervous, Luciel waited while tightly holding the hem of her robe. While waiting for them for a while, someone called Luciel.
“Luciel.”
When she involuntarily turned around, at the sound of a call from behind her, a previously placed finger pricked Luciel’s soft cheek.
“Ah…….”
Luciel looked up at whoever was playing such a childish prank. Grandpa Gillard, who she had been waiting for so long, was playfully looking down at her.
“Grandpa.”
“Luciel, what are you doing here?”
“Oh, nothing.”
“What do you mean it’s nothing. Oh, say hello. This is Erika Sylvane.”
Luciel stared blankly at the woman’s face. She had a mole on her mouth and a star-shaped tattoo on the back of the hand.
‘I finally found it!’
Her cat-like, fresh eyes turned to Luciel.
“Nice to meet you.”
“It’s nice to meet you.”
Luciel held out her hand to Erika’s first.
“Are you also a wizard, Miss Erika?”
When Luciel asked with her eyes shining, Erica shook her head.
“No, I am a mage…….”
In the past, perhaps because of the influence of the Crown Prince, her impression was a little gloomy and dark, but the young Erika I met now was just a quiet and meek girl. It looks like she has just passed the age of 20. Erika had shorthair with attractive eyes and a calm disposition.
“Are mages different from wizards?”
Luciel asked, tilting her head.
Mage, unlike ordinary wizards, were people who immersed themselves in research rather than directly using magic. But Luciel needed to know more about her.
I wondered what she was doing at this point in time.
Gillard felt that Luciel needed an explanation, and answered instead.
“Mages are in charge of various tasks such as research based on academics, developing and experimenting with new magic, and applying them to real life.”
Gillard added, looking at Erica.
“Erica is studying, among other things, the magic of empowering things with spells.”
Luciel’s ears perked up.
If her major were about studying enchanted objects, it would be quite expensive. Research funds alone would cost a lot of money.
What if I could infuse the power of the jewels into the things I use instead of enchanting them with magic spells?
If that happens, it is possible that the power of jewels could be infused into a wand or other objects like the prince’s magic sword.
‘Before that, I should know what power was contained inside the Jewels and how strong it was. After that we would have to find a way to use the power of the jewel in a weapon.’
The right person for the job was Erika in front of her. Most of all, Erika’s research subject was interesting in itself, making Luciel twinkle her eyes in curiosity.
‘She’s amazing. I want to get to know Erika.’
Luciel opened her in admiration.
“Miss Erika is working on a very interesting and wonderful job. I hope I get the chance to watch it someday.”
“……Oh, that’s a little tricky. Miss.”
Surprised by Erika’s words Luciel was about to apologize, but with a blushing face, Erika was faster.
“That……I can’t concentrate on my work when someone is watching.”
‘Ah, that was the reason…….’
She didn’t know Erika well from when she was the Crown’s Prince person, but seeing such an innocent side, like this, Luciel saw her anew.
“I’m sorry.”
“No. I don’t want to disturb you. I was just curious and wanted to see it. It’s interesting to hear that things can be enchanted.”
Gillard smiled and patted the child’s head.
“Our Luciel seems very interested in that field.”
Suddenly, Luciel’s gaze turned to the ring placed on Gillard’s finger.
“Grandpa. Was the mobile ring also made by mages like Miss Erika?”
“Yes.”
“Wow. Then I’d like to learn more about enchanted objects.”
“Why? If it’s an item with spatial magic, I might be able to get it for you.”
Of course, the ultimate goal is to become stronger, but it must be useful to know about the various uses of magic.
“If you can put magical power into an object, you can turn it into something more special and valuable. I’m going to do it for my favorite things.”
Looking down at Luciel, Gillard asked as he stroked his chin.
“I see. What kind of enchanted objects does Luciel want to make?”
“……Well, there’s something that I really, really like. I want to put lots of different power in it. Hehe.”
“Something you really like?”
Luciel continued, shining bright eyes.
“It’s the wand that Grandpa gave me. At some point, it changed shape and became stronger. I want to cherish that wand for the rest of my life.”
As Luciel said with a smile, Gillard’s eyes widened.
“Huh, you mean you’ve already grown your weapon?”
